Any kind gurupies want to help me learn how to sample data and such?

I run Excel 2000 and I have started trying to teach myself but I feel like I am banging my head against a wall.

If you already run a program and want to share that's great too.

I also have interest in creating one to run our Survivor data a little quicker from yahoo.

Thanks.

Farn-Just a heads up, most if not all of the SS run here at the forum are run with Excel 97. Seems to work better than 2000. I would love to help you but I am still learning myself. I only run them not make them.

well, if I had Excel 97 I would gladly switch over.

Sadly I paid a few hundred for Office 2000 so I am in too deep to buy 97.

Farn, tell me about where you want to mine the data from (the URL would be great!)

philflyboy, I was recently given some verrry slick code from wian (hockey boards) that may make using 2000 and XP feasable. I'll look into it for future releases, if there are any.

i just used excel 2000 for my statistics project. I had trouble with it because i never used it before. I have no idea how to make graphs the right way.

RSF- here's the link I want to mine for Yahoo. Basically I want to run stats for our Survivor League. We run standings based on a 2 week interval. At the end of 2 weeks all remaining teams start again at 0. Right now each morning I subtract their current score from the score they had at the end of the previous session to know what their score is for the current session. Its manual work that I would love to automate.

Problem is I don't think yahoo will let you access our league without being part of it. But you can try.

I am also interested in doing some roster sampling for the Free Game. I would love to know what the masses are up to besides just the Gurupie owners.
