I need some help, and not for the obvious fantasy-sport-addiction problem. I've started collecting replica basketball jerseys of my favorite point guards. If that's not bad enough, as a very new tradition, I've also started collecting replica jerseys of players who were my TSN Ultimate Hoops / Smallworld MVP's for the year. Last year was a toss-up between Gasol and Tinsley (who faded as the year went on, but lest we forget, was the first rookie to chalk up a triple-double. I went with Tinsley, since I played point in high school.). This year I'd like to nominate Gilbert Arenas, who also happens to play for my nearby Golden State Warriors (I live in S.F.), but I can't seem to find his jersey anywhere! For someone who I feel is in the process of breaking out, this is somewhat surprising to me. I even saw his name mentioned in the same sentence with Kandi's and Andre Miller's recently on a Chad Ford ESPN chat regarding players on the verge of free agency. So here are my questions:
1. Anyone have any other early nominations? I'd think Ricky Davis, Ron Artest, Amare Stoudemire, and Yao would also have to be considered, but since I'm a little guy, I'm biased towards the guards.
and
2. Does anyone have any connections or ideas on where to look for the slightly more obscure player jerseys, like Arenas?

Since it's a new thing, switch to collecting the card with the game used jersey built in.

I have 2 gilbert arenas jersey's. 1 is a Nike swingman and the other is a authentic jersey which costs more than the swingman.
you should try going to the team store in GS they should have a swingman down there.
if not I can try and find one down here in seattle.

I bought a brand new replica Garnett jersey off of ebay last week for only 30 bucks shipped compared to 40-50 bucks at the mall or nba.com

1. how about bobby jackson as 1st half MVP? his injury + bibby's return will hurt his 2nd half performance, but for a long stretch he was a must have on every team.

Oooh, I would support a nomination for Bobby Jax as a possible 2003 TSN Fantasy Hoops MVP. I'd forgotten about him. I'd love to see him get healthy and make another strong running at the 6th man award. And I know his jersey is out there.
I've tried E-Bay, with no luck. I appreciate the suggestion about the jersey cards too, but they just don't do it for me.
I don't know if I should be responding to YB. Odds are that any NBA merchandise he has is "hot". On the other hand, that's a good suggestion (the team store), but I've looked there and can't find anything for less than $50. Usually I get my jerseys on E-Bay for around $15 to $20. The crown jewel of the collection being an authentic Gary Payton jersey for $25, shipped.
Well, if you're reading this post, please keep your eyes peeled for a fellow fan. If you see a Gilbert Arenas jersey (anywhere), give a holler.
