Subject: Next year's steals in the draft!

I think that Dwayne Wade is going to be a steal cause he won't be taken until after the #10 spot or later and will be a contender for the rookie of the year. I think that Collison could be a steal depending on who takes him. If he lands somewhere where he can find some pt then watch out. Amare would have had little to no hope of being a threat if Sacramento took him. So where they land is vital. Who of the foreign players will be a surprise if any? Darko will do well if he gets to play. But of the others...will any of them do damage? |

I agree with you that Wade will be a steal. He is an all around complete player offensively and defensively. However I could understand why he slipped he would be an undersized shooting guard but I think his talent will make up for it. I would like to add to your list of sleepers. Marcus Hatten for St. Johns could have easily been selected for Big East player of the year. He was a one man team. He plays defense extremely well. I think he will be a second round steal. Also Jameer Nelson who I thought was the best point guard in the country. This man was also a one man team. Just surrounded with spot up shooter who depended solely on his penetration.

I am a big believer that someone from oversees will surprise big time this coming year. Maybe Darko will be better than expected, maybe someone else. I don't know, I just think that it'll be a european to come out big and even win rookie of the year. Does anyone know if a foreigner has ever won rookie of the year?

I think Pistons are taking Carmelo as well. They will look to move Williamson in the off season if they can and I have heard that they would liek to sign Howard to fill in the potential void of Robinson.

I saw the interview ESPN did with Joe Dumars and it sure looked like they are picking Darko.

Saw this in the Seattle pi:
Teen Not Exactly Sure Why Doctor Needed Him Undressed For That A routine visit to the doctor ended in confusion Monday when Michael Wooley was asked to undress for an examination that did not seem to require disrobing. "He asked me about my wanking and my sleep patterns and stuff, then he looked in my ears and throat and checked my heartbeat with his stethoscope, and that was it," the baffled, nude Wooley said. "Would having my pants on somehow affect my heartbeat?"

Having his pants on might affect his "wanking"

I think Wade will go no lower than 4th. Clev -> Lebron Det -> Darko Den -> Carmelo Tor -> Wade (I see a major trade going down. Maybe Alvin, MoP, Davis)

I see a major trade going down too but not invloving Mo Pete or Alvin or Jerome. Everyone else on the roster (except Vince obvioussly) is open for moving. I think that Hunter and Murray can be on their way out with the draft pick even to get something big. Only time will tell I suppose. I certainly don't anticipate it being a quiet draft time for the Raps. Grunwald's job is on the line and alot will depend on how he changes the team this summer.

Hey, Why do you people forget Hector Romero, he is eligible and played very well with New Orleans College. In 26 six games last season he had 12 double doubles, with and average of 18.3 points and 9.1 rebounds.
MIN PTS REB AST TO STL BLK FG% FT% 33.1 18.3 9.1 2.1 3.9 1.2 1.4 .444 .749
I think teams should begin thinking in him
