0 Subject: does anyone play pschallenge basketball?

Hey guys, i decided to join pschallenge one price game this season, it seemed to have a far better prize structure and more trades to play with, and in thier promotions on site they talk about "if 500 people join then the winning prize will be $$$" etc etc, anyway I have noticed that it seems only 11 people are playing it. Ridiculous, and so much for a decent winning prize, it will be pro rated into oblivion.

Does anyone here play any other pschallenge games, and do they have many players competing?

I am thinking all those people that buy all their trades in the TSN basic game would be far better off at pschallenge, it is weird how so few people play it.

Play the PSC "progressive hoops game". There is 150 or so people playing it. The prizes go up as people buy trades.

I like the PSC games. Use GURU's Sortible stats for stats purposes.

Although, I think it actually might be too late to get in on the prizes in that game.

Read the rules.

Read the rules indeed. You have until the next roster freeze to be prize eligible. There are 140 teams in Progressive, and 360 in the Free contest. I think One-Price got the low turnout due to the initial $50 fee... though to compete for a top prize in Progressive you'll inevitably have to spend much more than that up-front cost!

I saw the 11 people also. At first, I thought it was my division total. I prefer the one-time fee approach, but apparantly others don't.

oh well, live and learn.

I decided to play the free game at the last minute. I opted not to play TSN this year; it simply takes too much of my time, and with hoops it seems I always struggle just to make the top 200...

So, I figured I'd get my fix from PSC. And, naturally, who happens to be in my division, but Guru himself... d'oh

PauoaBoyz I am only playing the basic basketball, I decided to play pschallenge instead of Ultimate due to the far higher percentage payout, wrong decision duh :-/

I'm not very good at basketball, so I chose not to play the one price game this year.

I do plan on playing the one price baseball game however

I decided to try the game this year, still brushing up on the rules.

I will say this, their support services have been outstanding. Every question I have had have been answered promptly and clearly via email.

Give PSC a shot

I'm not playing PSC hoops but I have played PSC baseball before and I have to agree that the customer service is top notch.

It sounds like 140 teams in progressive should make for a decent payoff. Any forecasts?

I'm in the free game, but they still haven't assigned me to a division yet...

does anyone know what kind of money those that win progressive games end up spending?

Is it too big a disadvantage to start with a week late team in pschallenge games?

thanks guys

You are about 600 to 700 points behind as of today. The PSC week ends on Sunday so you will be over probably about double that behind by Sunday.

Unless they let your roster play the rest of the week. Not sure about that.

I guess at most i am only missing 3 games per player by not playing the first week, and I do get the advantage of making a roster full of inform players after the first weeks results. I'll have a go.

Re: 12

Not all the teams in the "Progressive" game will be buying trades. It's not difficult to sign up for a free game.

Best of luck to PSC. I've been playing their games for several years and I've tried to support them in anyway I can. Best of wishes to them.

Does anyone know what previous winners or place getters have won in the progressive game?

64 trades bought after 1 week in the Progressive game.

Looks like the prizes are gonna be pretty decent in that game. $1.00 of each trade goes to the prizes.

Just realized that I forgot to make my weekly PSC moves today.

Oh well...
Maybe I'll try for a weekly prize here and there.

Yeah, Guru, there's no way you can win the division now. You might as well give up....

actually, I think it's safe to say that this single week won't ruin your chances. And you're probably one of the few to have Duncan and his 4 games.

Re 22,23

I did read the reports and I saw Duncan would be questionable for tonight and have a chance to play on wednesday. At 10+ million dollars, i could not risk him possibly playing only 2 games... but perhaps i should have... damnit

If you dropped Duncan for Ben Wallace I don't think you're losing much except 1 trade.

Wallace is a good hold for 3 weeks plus he's 2 million cheaper.
