Sorry to bring my technical problems here but no one seems to have an answer for this. Everytime I click on a link that opens in a new window the screen will come up blank. The new window will open but it doesn't take me to the desired location. For example, I go to www.rotoguru2.com let it load and I click "Message Forum" up on the top left part of the screen. Instead of taking me there it just opens the window and remains blank, waiting for me to type something into the URL. Same thing if I click on something in Guru's drop down menu. But it's not just this site, it's anywhere that opens something in a new window.
I am running Windows XP and this has just happened in the last day or so. Does anyone have any answers as to how to fix this? |

Probably several things that could cause that. I know everytime i get a virus.... Well, everytime my cpu gets one, it does the same thing. Have you checked for viruses? And I'm sure it would help if you listed your cpu stats.

I assume you've already tried rebooting?

I had the Windows/NT server problem a few days ago where it would give me a timer of 60 seconds before the system would restart but I fixed that with the Symantec Worm Blaster Tool.
I also have rebooted my computer. I defragmented it yesterday, maybe this may have something to do with it? I'm not sure but I was thinking of taking Internet Explorer off my computer and then re-installing it. I am not sure if this would really do anything though.

Have any sort of pop-up blocker that might be over-reaching?

Not that I am aware of. Where would I be able to look for that?

If you haven't intentionally downloaded and installed any pop up blocker programs, you wouldn't have one. A lot of people install them and have problems opening multiple windows, because they are viewed mistakenly as annoying pop-ups. Main reason I don't have one.

Yikes! Now that they've found you, expect the whole system to gradually shut down.
