Wow. What a finish to the season. Turns out this one came down to the wire, and when the dust settled Dave R was the manager left standing. Kudos to Dave R for taking first place and his come from behind victory. I think he had 5 teams on the TSN manager leaderboard (top 50). Talk about dominanant. And of course, we have to congratulate blackjackis21 for his incredible season as well. I don't recall playing a hoops season where one manager stayed in first place for that long. In the end the baskets fall where they may, but blackjackis21 certainly deserves our recognition as well.
Let me thank philflyboy for his tremendous help posting the Hoops Standings this season. Back when I was in standings-burnout mode philflyboy stepped up and provided a major help to me, and has posted hoops ever since. Naturally he's out of town today... I've had to fill in and post final standings before, but I've never had to fill in for the guy filling in for me! LOL. A huge thank you to you, philflyboy!!
And no Final Standings would be complete without a nod to Guru for once again providing all of us with a place to gather, research, discuss, argue, empathize, and in general greatly improve our fantasy sports efforts. Talk about value added! Guru, thank you as always, for your continued and unselfish efforts.

Haha, I just started laughing in the computer lab when I saw that 101, you ended up having some real bad luck at the end of the season, which can all be traced to not having Captain Jamal Magloire of course. I buckled down and sold him for Shaq for the last day, and it paid off, ended up at 13. And if it wasn't for those damn points I threw away I'd be in the top ten. I think the highlight of the year was still when that guy did the "Y2GayS" thing, it was so random and uncalled for, amazing. Gotta get back to studying, midterm at 1:00.

Likwise Bernie, my top team has been on a tear lately; I was at like 85-90 about a month ago and I moved up to 51 in the end. I am pleased with my progress as I have learned on the fly. I know you were right behind me in the GM's Div, but I held you off :).
And of course, I appreciate all the work put in by AA, pfb, and Dan in putting these stats up every day. Thanks guys.

Bernie H. - thanks for the great game and thanks for competing in the Gurupie Standings. I noticed your late run also - you just missed finishing in the top 10 in the GM division. Congratulations and keep up the good work.
BTW - it surprised me that you didn't use your last 4 trades - didn't you know we were getting these? ;)))

Well, i managed to save the best for last, being top Gurupie points earner for the last day, and also just squeaking into the top 100 for the first time this year. What a nice way to finish!
I'd also just like to echo everyone else in thanking philflyboy and allhair allstars for their stellar efforts on the standings. The Gurupie collective salute you!

philflyboy and allhair -- you are the best!! I appreciate all your efforts to keep us up to date and to be able to compete at the highest level.
And speaking of the highest level, congratulations to DaveR and blackjackis21 for great seasons! Domination is having the top 2 and 18 of the top 44 teams world wide!!

I forgot to add that I bet about half of those other 26 teams in the top 44 are gurupies too . . . but with only one team allowed to be listed in these standings . . . a lot of good teams don't show up here
