irri, what's the matter with Jermaine O'Neal? Why you wrote his name (only his name) with no caps and his surname wrong? It's 17.30 here in Italy, I don't know in Rome, but you look already in dreamland Give a break, as you will give us Nesta soon

i don't really know if it means something if you translate it in english, but for nesta you can attack yourself to the dick and pull strong...... tonight there's Lazio's first home game, and at 11:30 i've got the first Fantacalcio's auction, so i'm more than excited right now......

Memphis fan, I think your worst fear came true...Tim Duncan, Karl Malone and Steve Francis on the same Roster is pretty dang loaded...I was hoping the frachise would fall to me...I have only one player left on the list of guys I was hoping to snag in round three...We will see if he lasts...

irri what do you suggest to do with Nesta I'll probably do next week when he'll arrive in Milan. Enjoy Lazio prime..ther will be a lot of player you will not see anymore with that jersey..ask your president why he doesn't pay Then why you absolutely want John Stockton and Yao Ming n your roster?? The first one is old, the chinese is a bluff, believe me!

Comeon Beebop!
Rubalamp, Yup.. very strong team. Im not sure how anyone is going to debunk him short of an INJ or migraine headache. First might have been THE pick to have in this draft. That said, he doesnt have another pick for a while. So lets hope we can get all the averages players before he's up again. :)

Now the drafting is getting much harder. There were stud players available easily for two rounds. Now we have to concentrate in finding players that are good for our own specific needs. I think that rounds 3 and 4 will be very much of picking centers. Very interesting to see when are the rookies picked and in which order...

you know clach, from 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. i usually sleep, when i don't have an nfl draft or a fantacalcio's one. Yesterday i had a fantacalcio's one which ended at 4:30 a.m., coming back home at 5 o'clock......and i really didn't have the possibility to connect because in the moment i entered my room, i had to have a brawl with my bed.....;-) now, if you could only reply me on our nba forum.....

Actually, I think it could use some explanation.
Stockton and Nash are both better PGs. (with a slight nod to Stockton IMO -- will explain if needed)
BUT how could you leave Lafrentz on the board! You would have BLK locked up! :) And didnt you take Abdur-Rahim? Your going to have schedule conficts and Dickau fighting for time.
|
28 | Rubalamp

Come on, I am not convinced that Raef is all that. I mean he is now on the Mavs, a much more loaded roster with people fighting for time at every position. Mutumbo or Mourning are both worthy pickups that give you more rebounds and points on top of the blocks...
|
29 | Jukka

I see Terry as a good all-around player, not many of those left.
My two first draft picks were Garnett and Jermaine, so I needed a guard. Statistically, after those I was lacking 3pm, assists and steals very badly. Terry is excellent in 3pm, ft% and steals and he is also doing quite well in assists and points.
With Hawks adding Big Dog Robinson, I expect Terry to increase his fg% to 45 and also his assists numbers might increase. His main weaknesses are blocks and rebounds, but my first two picks should take care of those areas.
I see Terry balancing my team relatively well, but time will tell..

I think balance is quickly becoming key right now. I think there are still a couple guys that are decent in a few categories, that may have been looked over based on the needs of a given team...but to simply take the guy who led the league in blocks is not that vital. You still want guys that contribute in a few different categories at this point. If you were to pick Raef for blocks and all his shot % stuff, you may be wise, but I just need the blocks. Allen and Dirk have great %'s already, so I need a blocker/rebounder as well...Raef does not fit that category.

Memphis Fan- If you would pick Stockton over Nash, I think you have a little bit too much love for the guy...check the numbers.
Nash Kills Stockton in Points, and gets the nod for FT% and 3P%. Rebounds are virtually equal. Stockton gains you a steal, and a bit on Assists and unimportant difference at blocks. His big edge is Steals and FG%...but the loss of 5 ppg for a steal, half an assist, and some FG% is not worth it...

i had to choose between marbury and terry, but was worried about robinson to steal a lot of shoots from terry and rahim, so i opted for stephon, who will be, with marion, the main and only weapon of his team, assuming that stoudamire doesn't emerge strongly.......do you think marbury was the right pick?

34 | Memphis Fan

Stockton doesnt have Van Exel as a backup.
Kills Stockton in points? To me there stats are pretty equal Stockton loses 4ppg while gains and assist. And the rest balances itself out.
AND hips! You should worry more about Nash, last 3 years -- 70, 56 & 40 games? Last year was his first full season. They're equal as far as stats last year IMO. But Stockton wins the battle b/c of the lack of Van Ex.

LAZIO:
Excellent pick in Marbury. I was hoping to get him. His assist numbers are alot better than I thought. I have real doubts about Terry, he's not a true PG and he cant play SG either. The Hawks are going to try to shift Dickau in as soon as possible which could hurt Terry's minutes. He should also take alot less shots this year with Big Dog's sticky fingers ;)

Nash doesn't really have Van Exel as a Back-up either...He was playing more often at the two spot last year...which is more natural for him anyway...Nash will get his minutes, you can't bench an all-star for a guy past his prime...

41 | Memphis Fan

The 2 is more natural for Van Ex? Since when! Sure, he's like 2 years older than Nash. But he's not dead YET! Ive watched him since his LA days -- he's still a great PG! He did spent some time at the 2 briefly but most of his time was playing while Nash rested. He's not going to take the job, but he'll take some minutes. You cant just jump into the 1 at the end of the season on a new team. I think they'll take full advantage of him this year. Esp. with Nash's past problems with injuries.
That said, im not saying its a major knock, just one that makes me take Stockton instead.
FWIW: Finley & Dirk are All-Stars -- Nash just throws them the ball :)

Nick is a solid player, but he also has had to be everything to his previous team. IN denver everything went through him...that is why his assists and points were through the roof...even if Nash weren't at Dallas I am not sure he would be as strong on such a balanced team...

I really wish Finley would go to a team that needs him. COUGH*MEMPHIS*COUGH Maybe trade Swift and Dickerson? For Finley & a draft pick? I think it would be good for both teams, MAVs would finally get a banger on the boards and a replacement at SG with Dickerson.
Just a thought, id love to see Finley as a star. I think he's got the game for it.

Van Exel is OLD? What? Cassel is two years OLDer than he is! Stockton and a few other guards blow Cassel out of the water -- dont know why ya took him. Id prob. pick Tinsley & Stockton both over him, not to mention Eddie Jones. Your call tho.

Two of the former big three. I am taking a bit of a gamble that their numbers will take a bit of a hike, but regardless Sam's numbers were simply better than Stockton's and Stackhouse. I need the assists and steals, but wanted the points and boards that Cassell has on Stockton. Cassell also nearly matches all of Stack's numbers with much better %'s. I will be shocked if Tinsley is taking before the 5th round...but I could be mistaken.
Youngbuck, drinking is not that cool...
LaFrentz is not that strong of a Rebounder...

Memphis Fan, I am impressed you took McDyess. I think it is a great pick, I was hoping to have to consider him next round. I think if he returns to form you have found a diamond in the rough this late in the draft. I like McDyess as a player, so I hope he does rejuvinate his career after the Knee problems, I just didn't think people would be willing to take the chance this early, but this is also my first time to do a draft like this...

Yeah, I was considering waiting longer on Dyess. But I didnt want someone to grab him before my next pick. I hope he can sustain his old numbers -- afterall, he was in the West before. My next pick is right around the corner. So hopefully I wont lose anyone on my list :)

Memphis you stolled my pick! damn..he was my secret weapon! Good choice indeed: he was a 20-10 in west...and he has already recovered from his injury during last season, so he's not risky like Grant Hill for instance Now I'm thinking of your Shane Battier or Jason Williams (your next pick around the corner)

3.12 Jalen Rose Not so many choices now..he's he considered a G a F, or a G/F? Which is the official role's list ? Yahoo! or Nba.com as I propose or what else?

I hope everybody is all right with this extra pick: 3.13 IRRIDUCIBILI LAZIO Just for pleasure of put him all year on IL!! Remember when you read his message at RotoGuru times , i.e 21.53, it means at his house it's 3.53..what the hell is doing so late in the night, with no Nba matches on tv???

Now I will open the 4th round with a surprising pick (serious). But as the last of the list..I need to take the risk 4.1 Yao Ming Explanation: 13p, 11r, 6 blks in his 1st appeareance against NBa players, everybody impressed..

Yup. Always good to go against the norm. Not sure Id have taken him this early, but he could be a nice block and rebound guy. Maybe even a few putbacks. I just wonder how many minutes the stickman will be playing. ;X

if you look at last year's top rook - POW - he would have been a solid 4th round pick (i have him at #44 last year - of course my projections suck too, just ask MemFan :>) - if Yao has a Pow year or better it may be a great pick (Mutombo is still on the board though)

Yao (Yow) is better then Pao (pow) !!! Uao (wow)!! I considered the MO-MU factor, surely both more safe picks, but the chinese looks better in blks, 3s, and maybe points He'll be my 1st gamble, not the last one

Irri don't worry: I drafted you, just to put you in a ronaldo-situation: a plus puckage for a good trade or sitting on the bench for all the years

Yeah, Gonna take me a minute for mine. I want a center so its between Camby/Zo/Theo & Kandi. Debating on if I should take injury prone Camby now that he's in the West. Or the walking disease in Zo. Or Theo whos never averaged more than 8 RPG on a team where he was the only post guy. GRR! Or! Kandi, whos numbers are simular to Zo's and he plays 80 games. Anyone want to help? :)
