6.9: juwan howard .....he can play F or C, so i can fill a C spot with a F. Plus, after being traded he averaged 18p, 8r, 3a, 1s, 1b per game, great numbers if compared to the mediocre Centers remained.....or not? as a F he has not a great value, but at C he's worth it, isn't he?

Australians are not "kiwis". There are no kiwis in Australia. People from New Zealand are often referred to as "kiwis". So there, get your terminology straight.
A free tip: Australians can be called "ozzies". Not much fun I know, but that's about it.

I like beebop's team, it seems very solid... at the 3 position, same with Jukka @ 5, and also Memphis @ 9... Gotta see where the draft goes from here, I've got some players marked, but I'm not locked into anybody. 2 months until the season starts... I can't wait. I like your team. I would have taken KG too. But thats not too big a deal as long as Webber plays a decent number of games. The second pick in Vince I think was more of a weakness. I like Marbury and Jamison tho. I think Jamison has a considerable upside as long as he doesnt play like last year.

What about the 8-12s? I'm 10 and I think I've drafted really well for my position, but that'll all be determined on how the year plays out. I agree that 3-4 are the best spots.

I'd actually question D.Rob more than Houston... I understand the Houston pick, but D.Rob is entering the Ewing/Olajuwon stage of his career... he'll get you probably 10/5/1/1/2 at this stage of his career.

Everyone here (for the most part) has selected well. Although I think all of us made a mistake or two. I think it'll be very competitive and in the end depend on how well our players do each week. And who knows what sleepers well emerge.
BUT, I still think Beetski's team sucks. ;)

Hm, just throwing this out there for everyone's opinion. Does it seem that the person with the 1st pick (myself) had that much more of an advantage over any other position, simply because there are only about ~25-30 truly great impact players in the NBA? In other words, are the 3 players I got (Duncan, Francis, and Malone), barring injury, that much better statistically (fantasywise) than any other set of 3 that could possibly be available to a different position? I'm not doing this to gloat, I just want some honest opinion on whether or not the 1st pick is all that it may be made out to be.

I agree Vilica. Generally the best pick is n°1, the it comes n°2 ..so til the end (n°12) (me, of course. In this case also the gap between players is strong

Villica, i don't think it is fair to look at rounds 1-3 b/c you get the 1st/24th/25th pick (adds to 50) while Clach, for example, got the 12th/13th/36th (61) - a more fair comparison would be the top 2 or top 4 picks
i think Francis slipped to 2.12 b/c of health questions (although it appears his problem has been diagnosed) - i think Rasheed will have a better Fantasy season than Malone - we'll see
is TD really considered a center in this game? WOW the ability to use PFs as Cs is not something i considered - really changes the game
i'm not overly impressed with my team - i came up with a ranking of the top 200 players or so using last year's per game stats across the nine categories and pretty much stuck to it with some allowance for position/trades/injury potential - a strict adherence to the list may cost me - i still think Brent Barry is a good pick

Can't say Ive been too happy with the #9 pick. It seems like I just missed the 1st round major stud train. And the second round everyone seemed to get about the same kind of star. Then the people with major studs first round got another swipe at the middle of the pack second rounders.
I think the beginning of the order really help. But that said, I'll make a comeback! :)

Lazio, be patient. There's still almost two months before the season starts... :) Sorry, that it took about eight hours for me to pick, but to my defence I got to say that sleeping is quite important part of my life, because of working full office days. It was 6.50 am in Finland when I made my last pick, not bad...
What comes to my draft so far, I think that I have made one mistake so far. I believe that I picked Camby too early. Propably would have been able to get him with the pick 5.5 also. To other six players I am very happy and we can still trade...

I thought I need to have a strong guy to pick my team up and This guy seems to be worth the risk. I am hoping that he plays as well as he is hyped. It should not take him much to take a majority of Steve Smith's minutes...The only down fall is he is my fourth guard, but there may be options to trade or he could be used on off nights for my two Bucks...
And now Clach will have to do more research...

One question: Do we set our team separately for every day, or do we set it for one week at a time?
I thought that it would be for a week, but you are talking about off-nights.

day by day jukka......and you don't have to defence yourself for not picking earlier.....i just try to put pressure on the "picker" so that he should make a mistake ;-) and judging from clach lineup, when i do it to him it pays a lot.......he knows he'll totally suck this year, and he's scared to arrive last....;-)

Lazio..I think you should have more consideration of other players...I think everybody (well, maybe except drunk..ops youngbuck) have a list of players prepared..the only thing to do when it's the turn is pick the 1st of the list.. so there's no pressure
