btw, there was 1 trade between Rubalamp and clach... which I think ended up being Wallace, 10.1, and 12.1 of clach, for Mourning, Ginobili, and Rubalamp's 9.7, so clach is up.

I need a PF..that I think should be listed as C too..even if Yahoo didn't do last year..I can't believe I left in this position one of my favourites player who play in my favourite team.... but Robert Horry is fantastic just in playoffs..while I like fairytales and the comeback of Shawn Kemp is a good one..isnt'it?

Yeah, Perhaps, he does have a strong team.
We might have made a mistake in not specifying the rules as to trades via draft. I know in the Yahoo system other managers are given the option to veto. And I more than likely would have. Live and learn.

Guys, granted, I would not have done the trade if I didn't see the benefits for me, but now I have 5 people to get that will be in the last 36 people chosen overall. Look at what is left, it is kind of hard to say that my team will out and out dominate...
|
31 | Rubalamp
ID: 6615911 Sat, Sep 07, 2002, 22:46

And numbers-wise, it is hard to argue that this trade was not fair. Granted, Clach is putting a lot of stock in Ginobili, but it is a risk he was willing to take.

id rather have 5 of the first 36 than the last. no ones gonna really bust out a huge pick now, first to FA once we spot the tinsley, gasol of 03 is huge

Don't think there will be a Tinsley or Gasol of 03. There hasn't been a rookie like Pow in around 5 years. There are a few reasons this rookie class wont be as lucky. PGs for one, rely solely on the players around them. JWill doesn't have the weapons (yet) that Tinsley had last year. Butler is 95% hype, the guy is good but ever since he said he'd prove people wrong for passing him everyone is claiming him the next Paul Pierce. It wont happen in one year or maybe ever. Ming will take a huge beating, and I wouldnt be suprised to see him really tank the last half of the season. Dajaun Wagner will spend limited time at PG, provide alot of TOs and score around 13 PPG. Hot Rod will get picked up by the CAVs to start.
But I guess I could be wrong :)

How about my man Dgoods, goin into a solid rebuilding with Jerry West. Or Tayshaun Prince. I think those boys can do some shiz. Kareem Rush if given the chance to play the point with the lake can be good. and one of those europeans have t be good

FWIW:
Gasol wasnt exactly a huge sleeper. He was #3 overall, and we traded Abdur-Rahim for him. :/
I think of the rookie class - Dunlevy Jr wins ROY. He has the complete game and jumpshot that the NBA requires, and will start in GS.

Problem with Gooden is we've got so many forwards. He'll be good, but I dont think he'll see the ball enough to be ROY. Rush is backing up Kobe. Being on the Lakers is an automatic disqualication for ROY. I could be wrong, afterall im just guessing. But I cant see it happening.

For what its worth, players drafted 10+ stand nearly no chance to get ROY. I cant remember a year when the ROY wasn't a top 5 player to go in the draft. So thinking we're going to find a huge sleeper past the first 5-10 picks is a bit unrealistic.

Drafted by the Spurs second round 99. Played for the Argentina National team. He has a bunch european MVP awards for different stuff...He is pretty much the man...
Did we ever decide what positions we were using? I have been using the positions as they are given by NBA.com...If this is wrong someone correct me before my next pick, because I think it may impact who I choose...

Ya, I just went and did a little research...Now I have to go back and compare statistics and the usefulness of the guys who can play multiple positions...There were 6 guys I thought could play both positions that I am considering. NBA.com listed four of the 6 as multiple positions, Yahoo listed only 2...The funny thing is there was no crossover. The 2 yahoo considered multiple position players, NBA didn't and Vice Versa...
That seems really silly...ALright, We are still waiting for Clach to finish out the 9th round...Anyday now buddy...

I was debating between Artest and Quentin, but I decided that Artest is going to be coming off the Bench next year for Harrington and maybe Miller on occasion...in short, I think his numbers are extremely inflated due to his time on the Bulls and Harrington's injury...

I disagee. Let's look:
Hang Time
Robinson's 01-02 (By far his worst. Team problems): 6.20 BPG
Artest's 01-02: 4.3 BPG
Baker's 01-02 (He's going to up boards with the Celtics): 7.9 BPG
TOTAL: 18.4
beetski
Your team:
Pierce's 01-02: 6.9 BPG
Walker's 01-02: 8.9 BPG
Gooden: Who knows? 3-4 BPG?
TOTAL: 19.3 (giving Gooden 3.5)
So, with both Baker and Robinson having off years last year and Pierce and Walker having two of the best seasons of their career. How is the .9 BPG difference between our teams anything to speak of? And not to mention I got my Forwards in the late rounds. :)
Sorry for the long post, but I like looking at the stats.

umm prob because fortson was like the #3 rebounder in the league last year. and also why wold baker get more rebounds as a celtic. all he did was get older and put on more weight. All u just did was give ur guys excuses for their shattiness and tell me that my guys wont have the same kidna years they did last year. Very lame as far as proof

No, Vin Baker has been working hard on the offseason to proove himself and he's actually LOST weight. And he will easily get more rebounds as a Celtic, because he's the Celtic's only GOOD big man. Rogers is gone. And not ONCE did I mention that Pierce and Walker "wont have the same ki[nd]a years they did last year". I said: "Pierce and Walker having two of the best seasons of their career". My post wasn't a flame. I just like people to support their attacks.

I am really happy with my teams ability at several categories.
Points, Shooting %, FT%, Rebounds and 3Ps, I feel really good about. I think I am above average in blocks, and average in Steals. I am pretty close to simply giving up at assists, but will see if I can't pull a couple picks to help out there...

.....well, he averaged about 23 minutes last year, but this year he's back to philly, with no one backing him up at a decent level, plus, coleman is out and will never be healty for more than 5 consecutive games......I expect 14-10-2 with 2 blocks from him, and even if maybe i'm a little to high on the guy, here comes my pick: 10.9: Todd MacCulloch well, at least he plays in the east at C, he's tall and he starts....there's not so much to choose from at this point!!!;-)

YOU'RE...
Come on, it is really simple grammar. We have people on here who speak English as a second language. I think we could at least use proper grammar to help them out...

It is a term that has been considered a negative term for a homosexual. Interestingly, for anyone interested, homosexuals have actually began using this term for themselves now.
I, however, am not a homosexual. I don't see the problem in not being total morons while we are talking about sports.
Clach, I am glad you find it amusing. I do too, or I would not provoke him so much.

Usually people who speak English as their second language have proper grammar, their weakness might be in selecting words or using a lot same words. I recognize those things in my English.
Main reason for picking Ricky Davis was this article in SI. I had also two other guys in my mind and the decision wasn't easy.

Spyce, you still have to wait at least couple of hours. Beebop is propably sleeping. Lately, we have done relatively good job in speeding the draft up. If lucky, we might get this thing ready after the next weekend and start seriously to consider different possibilities for trades.

LAZIO:
About Swift, he's not a good pick IMO. Gasol/Gooden/Person/Wright more than cover the forward position. They're trying to trade him, but I doubt Swift will go. My guess would be poor numbers and a trade next season. His averages last season (tho not great) are a bit inflated. We lost Wright and didn't have Gooden last year. I would love to see him bust out tho.
Then again, the options left arent great. So, he might be the best of the worst.

I thought about taking Ricky as he is probably the guy with the most upside to him in this draft, but I also thought it could have been a fluke, because he really had one solid month...sort of like Eddie Robinson and Austin Croshere...

Michael Redd is a champion (one of the funniest thread of last season) back to Rubalamp-Youngbuck rivalry: I think you're both having fun in provocating each other. It's good ..provocations are part of the game..apparently I'm doing the same with Lazio..but it's just apparently..because all things I say of Irri are real!!! Where does your nick come from from?? Mine is from clach (or clutch..I really don't know) cargo..an old cartoon

Seems like there's a lot interest towards Ricky Davis. You all had chance to take him in the tenth round, but for some reason didn't use that opportunity. If someone of you is willing to trade, I'm listening...
