I'm going to open this thread up. Break down your players and draft as you see fit. Please don't mention undrafted players.

I decided to take the 12th pick in the draft basically because it would make my choices easier when picking back to back. 11th wouldn't have made a huge difference so I went with convenience.

1.12 Pau Gasol, PF/C
2.01 Tim Duncan, PF/C

With my first 2 picks I wanted to go big. All the smaller guys had been gobbled up so I decided to attack the Center position. Getting Gasol and Duncan should solidify what is usually the toughest position to draft and give me a good foundation on rebounds and blocks. Hopefully TD's FT percentage doesn't bury me.

3.12 Caron Butler, SF
4.01 Josh Howard SG/SF

When it got back to me I considered Durant but decided to go with experience. I'm a little concerned that I can't find a lot of information about Butler's physical condition but I decided no news is good news. Needed to add some smaller bodies and Butler and Howard can help in a number of categories, including FT percentage. I think Howard keeps getting better every year and his 3pt shooting was a big factor. Butler should really help out in the steals category as well.

5.12 Ricky Davis, SG/SF
6.01 Jason Terry, PG

I am not sure I needed another SG/SF but I couldn't pass up Davis' ability. I think with KG gone he may really pile on the stats this year. And Terry was the best available PG and a guy I'm hoping maintains his playing time and puts up some good assist numbers as well as scoring. And once again they both really shoot FTs well. Terry also puts up a good 3pt number as well.

7.12 Randy Foye, PG/SG
8.01 Peja Stojakovic, SG/SF

I spent about 20 minutes really fighting to make this pick. I almost took Jameer Nelson and about 5 minutes after I hit submit I was wishing I had. I'm really banking on Foye staying healthy and Peja coming back healthy and putting up big 3pt and FT numbers.

When I saw that I had the 4th slot, I starting thinking I'd probably like to move back some.
But then tothreeball took the 4th slot, and made it a little harder to move back. It was a good chance that Kobe or LBJ would fall to the 3rd slot.
But could I wait until the next pick....
So I decided to go for the middle and take the sixth slot.

1.06 - Steve Nash
I really thought that Gilbert would fall here. But I had already penciled in Nash in case he didn't. Nash has been good to me in the past, and unlike last year at least I got a decent point guard on my team.

2.07 - Andre Iguodala
I was hoping that Deron would fall here. Boy that would've been a team. My 2nd choice was Gasol/Duncan. But Farn put a stop to that.
So I'm thinking do I risk picking Al Jefferson / Camby. Or pickup Allen Iverson. In the end I decided to take the best available player, and I think AI-Squared will help.

I took the first slot available to me which turned out to be #5

1.05- Gilbert Arenas Hate the guy as arrogant, selfish, ignorant all of which make him a great fantasy player but not much else.

2.08 Tracy McGrady- maybe a reach here- TMac might only be good for 70 games but with a more up tempo pace this year I am hoping he continues to be a stat stuffer. Actauly all my possibles here were major injury risks.

3.06 - Carlos Boozer
I was determined now to get a center. But no true center was in reach. I wasn't going to reach for Okafor in this round, and worry about his ankles.
Otherwise I should have picked up Camby.
So who's a good rebounder whose center eligible.
Boozer is the 4th best rebounder from last year, scores well, but no blocks. I'll have to address that later.
I did consider Chauncy Billups, but I really wanted to make sure I got someone who was center eligible.

4.07 - Tyson Chandler
After Boozer, I had queued up one of Josh Howard, Caron Butler, Jamison and Hinrich.
All thru the draft Farn and blackjackis21 the picks that I let get away, so I hope they appreciate it (:
Time to go to the drawing board. I needed blocks.
Okafor was off the board, Tyson Chandler was there. He rebounds well, doesn't score much, free throws suck. Lamarcus Aldridge would've been a good pick also, but I like CP3 being their running the show. So Tyson it is.

9.12 Troy Murphy
10.01 Anthony Parker

I was hurt to see Grant Hill didn't fall to me. As wiggs can attest, it seems like a given that I will always draft Hill. But he was snatched up and I was left to take Troy Murphy, who promises to get hurt early and often and ruin any expectation I have for him to return to his strong double-double form. If he could ever produce I'd have a huge steal at this late round. So I took a shot he'll play 70 games and make a massive impact.

I took Parker knowing I need some more steals, FT %, and 3pters. If he gets his minutes I'll have made a solid contributor type pick.

11.12 Drew Gooden
12.01 Nick Collison

I knew I needed some big bodies and took a couple of shots with Gooden and Collison. If both stay healthy they can help with rebounds and blocks. With the extra emphasis on offense in Seattle this season Collison may really see a bump in his stats if he can get the lion's share of the minutes. And Gooden has the talent to have a major season but he could very easily be a dud and bury my draft.

13.12 Rafer Alston
14.01 J.J. Redick

With the news that Foye might be dinged up I decided to add another PG, and Alston should see good numbers in Houston. I suspect he'll play about 33 minutes a night which should be more than enough to post good assists, 3pts, and steals.

I may have been a bit of a homer with Redick but I believe he'll put up big 3pt numbers this year, especially if Howard plays as well as advertised and draws double teams. Redick could singlehandedly make me a force in 3's if he starts as projected. If not I took a late round flyer on a Dukie.

15.12 DeShawn Stevenson

Knowing I had a number of question marks at G I decided to try my luck on one more and went with the best available in Stevenson. He can score a little when given the opportunity. Hopefully I won't need him a lot but if I do he should be able to score for me and put up a few 3's.

Overall I thought I had a decent draft. I'm not as pleased with this team as I was last year in AA but I think I can be competitive. If my question marks work out I should be able to contend. If they don't I might be laughed out of the league. Only time will tell.

1.03 Lebron James SF CLE

This would have been a close call if Kobe had been available, but we were sure KG would not be. I actually think last year was a down year for LeBron, and with an improved jump shot (was it 76% FG he shot at FIBA?), he can get very close to 30ppg. I also feel his assist and rebound numbers will return to that of 2 seasons ago at least. His FT% is a slight concern, but there's just waayyyyyy too much upside here to pass on possibly the best player on the planet at #3. If he stops taking games off, his numbers this year could go through the stratosphere.

2.10 Al Jefferson C MIN

I've got a bit of a man-crush on Al Jefferson. Last season, i picked him up as an FA in a keeper league i play in. He quickly gained C eligibility, and then went absolutely nuts after the ASB to put up monstrous scoring, rebounding, FG% and block numbers. Now, AlJeff is KG's replacement in Minnesota and the offensive focal point of a very young Wolves team. I fully expect his numbers to be in Dwight Howard territory, with the bonus of a FT% of over 70%.

3.03 Rashard Lewis SF ORL

Hmm. I'm 2nd guessing this one a bit now. Orlando have a lot of swingmen, and Lewis has hardly played in the preseason due to a sprained ankle. Still, you've got to think that the inside-out game he'll develop with Howard is going to be a thing of beauty. Lewis should be able to replicate last year's numbers, at the least, and i'm expecting him to rain down 3s at an ever higher rate than previous seasons with all those wide open looks he'll get from Howard drawing double and triple teams down low.

4.10 Raymond Felton PG CHA

3 rounds and no PG. The top tier guys have all gone, but Felton is not far away from joining the elite. With Brevin Knight being farmed out to Clipper land, Felton gets the reigns full time in Charlotte for the first time. He's got some heavy artillery to convert his passes in JRich, Wallace and Okafor, so i expect his assists to climb into the 8s range. Combine that with 1.5 3s and steals, 80% from the stripe and you've got quite a player who's on the verge of a breakout. If he gets his FG% over 40%, he's going to be a steal with the 46th pick.

We wanted Kevin Martin here so badly, and almost cried when tothreeball pinched him with the pick before ours. Boo!!

5.03 Andrei Kirilenko PF UTA

Dammit, there goes Lamarcus Aldridge.

Oh well, we'll settle for AK47 (Euros all the way, baby!). Andrei seems to have patched things up a bit with Jerry Sloan, and his preseason stats have been filled with all those little things that made him an almost automatic 1st round pick only a few seasons ago. He surely can't be worse than than last season, and even if he doesn't score much, AK can carry us in the blocks and steals category. Those hustle stats are hard to come by. Secretly, we'll hope for a trade, so that he can play more freely on a team that doesn't have the middle clogged by perennial 35+ minute guys like Boozer and Okur.

Remember, this is Andrei Kirilenko with the 51st pick. I'm ecstatic with that, considering he's only a trade away from being 2nd round value.

6.10 Monta Ellis SG GSW

Monta suffered a nasty neck sprain which has kept him out of the preseason so far. Mad scientist Don Nelson seems to change his lineup on a daily basis, but Ellis seems to now be confirmed as the starter at SG in front of rookie Marco Belinelli and gunner Kelenna Azubiuke. Ellis should be able to consolidate on last year's strong showing, as Nelson will be trying to limit Baron Davis' minutes. This means more time at the point for Monta. He doesn't get many 3s, but will be close to the league leaders in steals, and also has great %s for a guard.

And of course, when Davis goes down with the yearly injury, Monta steps right in. Then the fireworks really start.

7.03 Corey Maggette SG LAC

This pick is, unequivacally, an absolute steal. With Elton Brand shelved until at least Febuary, Maggette is going to BE the Clippers until Brand returns. Expect 22ppg, 6-7 rpg, 3 apg, 1 steal, and about 20 million trips to FT line. I love Corey's ability to get to the line as it helps to balance out our sub-standard shooting from LeBron and Jefferson. I mean Mags could lead the league in FTs attempted and made this season. He has been a touch fragile in recent seasons, but even with only 70 games, i'm very excited about the way Maggette is going to bust out with Brand out of the picture.

8.10 Rudy Gay SG MEM

Another pick i really like, Gay has the potential to join the 1/1/1 3s/blocks/steals club this season. He's a high-flyer, and can only benefit from running in the Suns style high-octane offense that the Memphis will be employing. He finished last season on an absolute tear, and has already had multiple games with great hustle stats. He also appears to be scoring more freely in the new up-tempo offense. I think he's going to have a tremendous year.

9.03 Boris Diaw C PHO

Boris is another player we are counting on to bounce back this year. After a stellar EuroBasket tourney, Diaw came into Suns camp having lost 10 pounds, and with a seemingly refreshed outlook on basketball. Add to the fact he's C eligible, and i think he's worth a gamble here. Can you tell me how many C eligible's there are that average over 5apg? No one comes close to Diaw when it comes to assists from the C position.

10.10 Channing Frye PF POR

Someon's got to fill Greg Oden's minutes, and it could well be Frye. He'll back up PF and C, and will provide sturdy percentages and C eligibility. Quite a safe pick this one, he reminds me a bit of PJ Brown.

11.03 Chucky Atkins PG DEN

Atkins hasn't played this preseason because of injury, but figures to get a bunch of minutes either starting at PG, or backing up the PG and SG slots. He's a more effective PG than people give him credit for, and his assist numbers should thrive with AI, Melo and Camby on the end of the passes in an up tempo system. He should also be a strong 3pt shooter, and it's a possibility he could average up to 2 3s a game.

12.10 Juan Carlos Navarro PG MEM

"La Bomba" has shown a knack for scoring and has been absolutely deadly from downtown during the preseason. He was an integral part of the Spanish EuroBasket 2007 squad, has several years of Euroleague experience, and can hit the 3 from just about anywhere. Think Kyle Korver. Aside from that, he'll be a key reserve for Memphis and will back up both guard slots.

13.03 Udonis Haslem PF MIA

Haslem is a solid as they come. He's a double double threat every night, and doesn't hurt you from the line. There will be more opportunities for him at the start of the season with Miami beset by injuries. With Wade out for a while yet, and Shaq creaking already, Haslem has a great opportunity to step up his production in the early going.

14.10 Andray Blatche SF WAS

Etan Thomas' heart problems are sad to hear about, but this opens the door for Blatche. He'll be the primary backup to Haywood and Jamison this season, and given Haywood's propensity for fouls and general inconsistency, it's a possibility he could even supplant him. Blatche has had a stellar preseason thus farm, and has the ability to provide hustle stats in bunches, as well as being a solid scorer and rebounder.

15.03 Francisco Garcia SG SAC

Garcia's going to start for the first 7 games at least whilst Artest serves his suspension. But i don't think that's the end for him. His playing time should be up significantly this season as the backs up all 3 backcourt positions, and his bond with Reggie Theus should ensure that he gets the minutes he need to become a solid fantasy contributor. the guard is changing in sacramento, where Kevin Martin and Garcia will be 2 of the faces that lead this team into the future.

1.10 Chris Paul

I knew with my first two picks I wanted a C and a PG. Paul was the last PG I was willing to take with such a high pick. While I had some of the big men rated higher than him, I decided to take the leftover C after the turn. I expect Paul to raise his game to an even higher level this year. I am not concerned with his off-season injury. Only other player I considered was Gasol. Maybe I played it wrong, and could have gotten Paul in round 2, but I'm happy with the pick.

2.03 Chris Bosh

I had hoped that either Gasol or Duncan would fall here. But I also suspected Farn would take two big men, as he made the same move from the 12 spot two years ago in AA. Bosh was my next highest ranked C, as I was not ready to take Howard here. Of course, taking Bosh means that my first two picks are both battling injuries, which can't be good. But I suspect (hope) that the Raptors are just being cautious with Bosh and making sure he is ready to the regular season. Outside of the injury concern, not much not to like about Bosh as a C eligible player. He doesn't give me the dominate blocks I'd like, but contributes solidly, well above the per player averages I was targeting. Didn't really think about anyone else, though if Bosh was off the board, I would have taken Josh Smith.

3.10 Joe Johnson

Really excited about the pick, as he was the player I targeted for this pick from the start of the draft. Johnson was off to a super start until his season got derailed last year, but he has been pretty durable outside of that injury. He gives me another top scorer with lots of 3's and contributes across the board. With the PG trouble in ATL, he might even average more than the 4 Ast/g I have him penciled in for.

4.03 Emeka Okafor

Another player I targeted for this round. Okafor was on my tea, last year and I was very happy with his production. I am hoping for a small step of improvement this year, though I would be happy with last years stats. Okafor's blocks make him truly a great fit for my team, and while he isn't a strong FT shooter, he also doesn't shoot that many to hurt you that much. He's another player with an injury risk, and that really is scary since my first four players can all be questioned in that regard. But, I'm willing to take that risk I guess.

5.10 Leandro Barbosa

Another players who returns to my team from last year. He had such a break out year last year that it is hard to ask him to improve, especially since everyone seems to think that Grant Hill will steal minutes from him. While I am a huge Grant fan, and hope he does well, i just don't see Barbosa losing that much PT. He is simply too good, and coming into his own as a young player. I expect him to give me comparable stats to last year, even as a suber sub, and I really want his 3's.

6.03 Andrea Bargnani

My first "reach pick", as I seem to have taken him about 12 picks too early based on the other RIHC drafts. No bother to me, as he did not make to 7.10 pick in any of those drafts, and I knew I wanted him. Bargnani is another young player on my team with lots of upside. He is slated to start this year and I expect him to continue the level of play he demonstrated at the end of last year. Another consideration was his C eligibility, which I hoped for and received. I do need him to rebound the ball well, and if he does that, as well as continue to shoot 3's and register a steal and block a game in extended minutes, I think I've got myself a major steal here. After all, the "next Dirk" out performed Dirk's rookie numbers.

7.12 Nene

Well, when I drafted him, I convinced myself the injury was not serious. Of course, he hasn't played yet all preseason. So now I am worried about his injury. By the end of last year, he was putting up terrific numbers. I can only hope that he rebounds from the injury as quickly as possible and starts rebounding for my team. Another C eligible player for my team, 4 in the first 7 picks, which gives me some roster flexibility and should keep me covered over the year in what is usually the hardest spot to fill.

8.03 Jamal Crawford

By all the other drafts, a pretty bad reach here. Honestly, that surprises me, and tells me that I am either destined for last place or first. :) When I was looking over my team needs, I wanted a player to help with 3's and Ast. Crawford does just that, while chipping in good scoring, FT%, Stl, and even reb. for a SG. He is set to start this year, and while Randolph is a ball-hog, somehow I see Crawford as the 2nd offensive option in NY. Being a KNick fan myself, I think Curry will be the big loser in the Randolph acquisition, and I've given up on Marbury being an elite PG. I still like the pick, and only wish I had known I could have gotten him in round 10. Oh well, at least I have more rooting interest when I watch the Knick games.

9.10 Josh Childress

Maybe I got my 8th round value pick here, as he seems to have gone earlier in the other drafts. Oddly, I am not as high on Childress this year as I was last year (he's another returning player) as the ATL rotation seems a bit crowded, especially at the wing. Still, I felt he was good value here and offers a fairly consistent but unspectacular fantasy game for any team. I'm happy to add him.

10.03 Mike Dunleavy

My first Dukie! The last two years I have had Brand and I couldn't let the draft get too much further without a little love for my beloved Blue Devils. More seriously, Dunleavy is another player with some position flex. and who offers an overall game that doesn't hurt me anywhere without being great anywhere. My feel is that by the 10th round, that's good value. While I don't expect much improvement for him this year, he did seem to play better in Indiana that Golden State, so who knows.

11.10 Jason Williams

I wanted another PG, or at least another source of AST. All the other options I considered were in the middle of time shares and then I stumbled across an update that said that J-Will had been named the starter. So I grabbed him. Not a fan of his, but if he does play, he is a good source of 3's and Ast, especially is Wade's injury keeps him out longer than expected.

12.03 Jeff Green

Green is a player in a crowded and unsettled roster, but I do think that Seattle will give him an opportunity to play. He is someone I see as capable of producing Childress like numbers with enough minutes. He's likely to start on my bench and then I will see how he progresses, but he could offer me some good production as he gets his feet wet.

13.10 Jamal Magloire

Magloire could emerge as a decent center option if he gets the starter's share of minutes in NJ. In past years as a starter, he has proven to be a 10 and 9 and 1 block per game player. I'll take that chance in round 13.

14.03 Martell Webster

Interestingly, I only started looking hard at Webster here because I was really thinking about Travis Outlaw. The more I researched Outlaw, the more I got excited by the numbers Webster was putting up in preseason. And while it is only preseason, Webster is a player who jumped straight to the NBA from HS, and is probably only now, starting to put things together ro be NBA ready. He is slated to come start at SF, and should be Portland's #3 scorer at worst. He shoots good 3's and has even been rebounding enough to suit my team needs.

15.10 Travis Outlaw

Well, passing on Outlaw in round 14 was hard enough, as he really helps in the defensive stats and is starting to put together a good offense game. I saw him as a good sleeper pick if he was given the starting slot. Now though, McMillan has been saying that he sees Outlaw as being the leading offensive option of the second unit, which if true, sombined with his defensive potential, still makes this pick warranted.

5.06 - Andre Miller
It was time to get another PG, and there were a lot of choices at the time:
Bibby, Miller, Parker, TJ, Mo Williams...
Bibby was better at 3's.
Parker has a great FG%.
TJ and Mo Williams are great across the board, but seem to get injured often.
So I went with Miller and his 7.8 ast per game.

6.07 - Ben Wallace
This was my first of several, "I should've trusted my gut picks".
I had Al Harrington, Danny Granger, and Bargnini targetted here. But at the last minute saw Ben's 2.03 Blks and clicked draft.
Uh Oh, I didn't see that free throw percentage...
Almost Shaq-like. Guess I won't be drafting Shaq.
Problem is I also have Chandler's 52% FT also.
So it doesn't look like I'm going to hang with FT.

7.06 - Rajon Rondo
I actually had Rajon penciled in here. But was hoping Big Al would fall to me. No such luck.
Rajon will give me steals and should do well in assists. He doesn't need to shoot that's for sure. At least someone in RHIC agrees with this pick in this round.

8.07 - Raja Bell
It's time to work on 3PT shots. Best pick available gives me 2.6 3's a game. Not bad.
Of course if Gilbert had fell to me, I would've had a different pick available.

9.06 - Al Horford
I might of reached here. But I couldn't turn down a PF/C with a chance of 10 pts, 8RB, and 1 blk a game. He might be behind Zaza and ATL's forwards, but I believe he'll get the minutes.

10.07 - Tim Thomas
I had Troy Murphy, Anthony Parker, and Mike Dunleavy penciled in here. As has happened earlier, Farn got to some of my picks before they came back to me. Remind me next year to keep Farn off of the 1 and 12 picks...
I considered Turkoglu and Al Thorton. But I just picked one rookie, so maybe Al could wait another round (fat chance). Turk could fit the bill, but I thought that he'd be competing with Ariza for time. Rumour has it the Thomas will start for LAC and of course there's lot of points to go around in Clipperland right now.

11.06 Louis Scola
Given Team Euro's propensity for picking foreign players, I was surprised when Scola dropped to me.
But I was glad to get the MVP in FIBA's America's Tourney. He's been doing well in preseason and should have the PF spot wrapped up for Houston.

12.07 Micheal Finley
Another round, another 2 player's picked up by Farn. I really was hoping to get Collison or Gooden, and I picked up Jason Kapono last year as a FA and he did well until he got injured.
But all my picks were gone. I seriously consider Ronnie Brewer and Antonio McDyess.
But in the end went with another 3pt shooter.

13.06 - Delonte West
I really wanted Jose Calderon here, but he was gone before my pick. Delonte West has been injured this preseason, and he's battling Watson and Ridnour for the PG position. But to get Delonte with the 13th pick could be a steal.
If not he'll sit on the my bench until someone better comes along.

14.07 - Dorrell Wright
I had a lot of players queued here, and really hoped that Dorrell would work out. But now with Ricky Davis in Miami, it looks like Dorrell will get limited minutes.

15.06 - Hilton Armstrong
Armstrong's been playing well in the preseason,
he's backing up Tyson, so if Tyson goes down, at least I have the player that will fill in for him.

I think I've got a pretty decent team.
I've got a couple of FA's that are on my watch list. So if my bench players don't pan out I should be all right.

Better late than never?

1.09 Jason Kidd
The first eight picks went exactly as I didn't want them to. When I drew (and chose) the #9 slot, I'd hoped someone would pass on Yao. Not to be. Given my typical propensity to forget to draft assists, I thought I'd get off to a better start this year. Certainly I hope Kidd brings more than just assists too.

2.04 Josh Smith
Smith was somewhat of another consolation prize as I wanted one of the "bigs" here to go with Kidd. Amare, Pau, Duncan and Bosh were all gone. In hindsight, I wish I gone with D. Howard. D. Wade was also tempting.

3.09 Carmelo Anthony
I finally got someone I wanted to fall to me. Long before the pick, I made a queue of 8 guys I wanted - Carmelo was #8 on that list.

4.04 Kirk Hinrich
This was another attempt to shore up assists and atone for past indiscretions in that category.

5.09 Zach Randolph
At the time, this was another one I was happy with. Remains to be seen whether Curry and Randolph can co-exist, but I'm hoping for points and rebounds from Z-bo.

6.04 Samuel Dalembert
I needed a center and I needed blocks. I'm regretting this pick given the foot issues for Sam.

7.09 Richard Jefferson
This pick was a bit of a hedge, as I trade away Jefferson in a keeper league. I figure that means he has a monster year. I did read too that he is feeling extra healthy this year. (?)

8.04 Andrew Bogut
I was fairly happy with Bogut here, especially since the Dalembert injury news had surface by now.

9.09 Eddy Curry
Another bit of a hedge - I figure if Randolph does not do well, Curry will have plenty of chances at points and boards.

10.04 Larry Hughes
Not really liking this pick, but I guess at this point what do I expect. Here's hoping Hughes can stay healthy and rack up the steals.

11.09 Jason Maxiell
Maxiell was a guy who I figured I'd take "early" because I would really be unhappy if I missed him. I don't know why, he probably won't get the minutes to do anything, but I wanted him on my team.

12.04 Jason Kapono
Decent 3's and %'s.

Leftovers:
13.09 Kelenna Azubuike
14.04 Louis Williams
15.09 Desmond Mason

3 guys I'd put my chips on to finish towards the top: holt, swishandedgar and Addicted.

Good luck all.
