I'm sure it would accelerate the process if someone would email all of those who signed up and asked them to check in.
Or has that already been done?

I'm here. Thanks for stepping up wolfer. What's the target date to start the draft ? I would be in favor or mirroring RIHC e.g. Oct 15th. Selfishly that works also better for me from an agenda standpoint.

I am tying to shoot to start the draft on the 15th. We still haven't heard from:
jseth 333 donkey hunter wesley ywk jack hammers qwerty
As soon as they post I am going to ask for numbers. I am going to sign up for yahoo and kafenatid.net tomorrow.

I have got two lists. I put sorted the handles alphabetically, like in the RIHC.
dpr sent me 3,4,7,6,10,12,5,8,2,1,11,9 Qwerty sent me 11,5,1,9,7,4,8,2,10,6,12,3
It ends up being: 1.wolfer 2.wesley 3.gescom 4.DPR 5.jack hammers 6.jseth 333 7.rheo 8.gurudan 9.donkey hunter 10.jack hammers 11.Valkyrie 12.qwerty123
So should I thank qwerty for being second or donkey hunter for just missing being second?

Jackhammers should be 5 and ywk should be 10
List was sorted alphabetically donkey hunter DPR gescom gurudan jack hammers jseth 333 qwerty123 rheo Valkyrie wesley wolfer ywk Then changed in order of the first list. The first number was 3. So the first spot on this list is the person who was third on the previous list. In this case gescom.
gescom gurudan qwerty jseth wesley ywk jackhammers rheo dpr donkey wolfer valk
Then that list was resorted in the same manner. The first pick in the draft goes to the team that was number 11 on the previous list which was wolfer. Gives this result.
wolfer wesley gescom dpr jackhammers jseth rheo gurudan donkey ywk valk qwerty

First off some house cleaning. We need one more to sign up at yahoo and three for the draft. To answer your question gurudan, and just to be different, I always name my fantasy football teams after two things - 60's sitcom characters and Simpsons characters. This is the Nelson Muntz I was refering to.

If we can get the last three to make thier picks here (reminder has been sent to ywk), I will send out another email to check in. I said eariler that I plan to follow the RIHC and officially start on the 15th, however if we can get picks in earlier, that is fine with me. We also need one more to sign in on kafenatid, I think I know who it is. If you have not signed up yet, please do.

Unless I am wrong we have been waiting 40 hrs for ywk- don't you forfeit your pick after 48 hours? Pursuant to message to Wolfer I will pick #8 if available or #10 if ywk takes #8- that way once ywk picks the whole draft order will be set. Unfortunately I think I am going to be much too close to wyk for the whole draft which does not appear to be a conveniant or desireable position.

That is completely up to the commissioner. Wait a minute, that's me. If he does not respond by midnight EDT, I am going to give him #10, that would give Valkyrie 8 and qwerty 9, per the last post. Is that okay with everyone?

Since it is after midnight edt, and still no response, ywk has forfited his chance since it we have waited over 48 hours. He gets #10. Per Valkyrie's post 49, the order is now set. It is:
1.wolfer 2.wesley 3.Gescom 4.DPR 5.Jack Hammers 6.jseth333 7.fear the monkey 8.valkyrie 9. qwerty123 10.ywk 11.donkey hunter 12.rheo

i wanted a ruling on etiquitte.
We are behind in the draft as we are jsut in the second round. Someone is about to time out (still 30 mins left) and was wondering what i should do if he does. This is our first round with a clock so wasnt sure it ettiquite says to cut some slack. Also the freeze is only 20 mins after he times out and I will be up soon after the clock starts again tomorrow morning to pick if then I decide to wait it out.
My current plan is to wait until i go to bed to pick which is about an hour after he will time out. If people tell me I should wait until the morning I will do that or if I jsut should pick right away. let me know
hopwfully this is all for nothing and a pick is made. jsut wanted to ask before the situation arose.
I posted in a general thread so if some of the language is along those lines that is why...

Traditionally in my experience, as soon as the pick times out new picks have been immediately made. I have seen situations where picks were made up until the skipped persons next pick and I have seen where it went until the turn and then stopped to wait between what would in this case be 2.12 and 3.1.
Worth noting is that JackHammers made his first round pick at 12:30 am. Also worth noting is that it took him 9 hours to do it.
Either way it is up to you. Picking right away is by no means a breach of etiquette.

Leaving a queue is good. You can also post any instructions here (like if you want a certain position or if you don't want the same position if it gets to more then one of your picks). Have fun at the game.
