Well clock start at 1:00, so picks will be flying off the board soon if history is any indication. You might want to come up with a Q. In fact, I have a Q already sent to me.

Hopefully OJ Mayo doesn't become my modern day Sam Bowie.

I really think Mayo projects to be a better player than Rose.

PD is on the clock. I've already emailed the next three individually as well as a mass league email.

B6, a month ago, I wouldn't have agreed that Mayo would be that good this year, but after watching preseason stuff, man I hav emoved him way up on my lists and even grabbed him in the 8th round in a 12 team league. I think Memphis will say, 'here ya go young man. Run with it.' There is now way you could hvae traded down much more as Slizz had him #1 in his Q when you took him. Not sure if Tosh had him above Love or not.

Man I struggled with my pick. Am hurting this morning since I stayed up so late. I was shocked Gordon slipped so far but since he basiclaly only contributes scoring and 3s, I guess I can see it. Hate taking Ridnour in the first, but my hand was basically forced. I tried to avoid it, but felt he was the bes tchoice in the current situation. Hopefully I don't regret it. But heck I didn't even have a first last year--trading it for Tinsley (who hardly played) so just got to be good with my other picks!

Remember, you need to pick up your own players now on the ESPN site after drafting them. Some are blocked form work so we can still do those--just might not be as quickly.

Really happy to get Bell. I had a huge weakness coming into the draft, 3PTM, and he has filled it. Now it's time for value pick city the rest of the way.

Gooden is way undervalued in this league. Since we have rebounding and offensive rebounding in this league people undervalue guys like him since "rankings" show him fairly low. Pretty sure he's a top 5 offensive rebounder which makes him a semi stud. If I didn't have my rebounding already shore up he wouldn't have made it past me.

Pacers, no need to be jealous, Gooden will always be available for trade during the season.

That being said, check out the stats he put up after he got traded and became a member of the Bulls:

14 points
9.3 Reb
3.4 OReb
1.7 Assists
1.3 Blocks
.813 FT%
.461 FG%

I am surprised that Andrea Bargnani dropped so low. I know he isn't starting this year, but I think that actually helps him stats-wise. He's still young, developing, and I think he will be a keeper for someone soon.

Word out of Chicago is that Drew "Freaky Goatee" Gooden might be playing Center this year, which has to drive up his value even more, eligility wise.

I will be taking all offers!!!!

PR: as the instructions in the first post of the draft thrad goes, everyone is asked to email the next three (even when posting a q) so we know when we're abou ready to pick. Somtimes with qs, this thing can go very quickly.

The ESPN team names can be difficult to know which manager is which to email. I hope osme will fix their team names. If in doubt, email the whole league I guess. But there are managers who have very low c clock left already.

So last night, I had my picks down to Duhon or shaq, perkins and maxiell. I needed a big, but thought Shaq would be there and Duhon wouldn't. If not for his killer ftp, I'd have gotten shaq for sure. Injuries also come into play. I think Shaq will be more productive this year but also will hurt ftp more too. Perkins isn't much better in ftp but worse in other areas. It's tough. Just like it's supposed to be in this league.

Brad Miller can't play forever, and when Hawes gets a chance, he is going to be good.

My team is kind of weak in one area.. a solid rebounding focused PF type. So if you are hurting for 3's and scoring -- talk to me about Mike Miller or Kevin Martin.

Twarpy and Mike D, no sweat guys. Most people don't mind if a guy has one Oh SNAP moments--esp. when the draft is going so smoothly.

Typically I post the draft grid after the end of the 5th so everyone can see who has less than their pick clock to pick, but I am swamped right now so just going to tell you...

RSF and PR have more than one pick but they are in no danger at the moment of the c clock. That's a pretty darned efficient draft! Nice Job! With our current rate we should finish up by tomorrow afternoon--just as we had hoped.

Ok. Believe it or not, I'm entertaining a trade offer at this late hour so I might not be ready to pull any triggers immediately anyway.

Question: with back to back picks here - I wouldn't lose my cumulative clock - as long as I don't time out on my first pick, correct? In other words, they don't get collapsed into one three hour timeout, do they? Not the end of the world if they do since there's only one more pick after mine.

As long as you make your first pick and don't time out, you get your per pick clock on your second pick. But, if you time out of your first, the 2nd one gets skipped automatically.

I was talking to Twarpy earlier today and he suddenly looged out. Haven't seen him since.

As the rules state in the header, if a pick is missed that pick must be made within 3 hours of the timed out pick or before the last pick of the draft is made, whichever is later. So if say Twarpy times out here at 1:55 ET, he needs to make his makeup pick by 4:55 or if the last pick isn't made until say 6:00, he'd have until 5:59. If Species picks at 3:00, Twarpy would still have until 4:55 before the draft was declared over and he'd have to get his player after we opend up add/drops.

This procedure was put in as guys toward the end of the draft were starting to be intentionally skipped to hold the draft open for breaking news before making their final pick.

Quick survey...

Would you prefer that after the draft is over, we wipe out all of the pickups and enter them manually so we can start waivers as intended or just leave it as it is, get it set up and allow pickups at a set time?

If we got rosters wiped and re-entered WW would run on Sunday morning sometime after 3 am ET. Free Agents would then be available sometime after that. If we left everything as it is after the draft, we'd say no pickups until say Noon tomorrow. Obviously re-entering them is going to be more work, but it will be more automated. Also if there becomes a hot pickup tomorrow then WW is best. Otherwise, it might not even matter.

I think you guys should just take it easy and do less work... no pickups until ____ whatever... any moves before that just simply reverse.

If you are concerned about a big time pickup, how about anybody wants a "claim" they email you can process those claims manually at that time.

WW order is reverse of the base draft so I would be next to last anyhow.

[152] NP. Makes it all worth it when we have a great draft like we did. Only eight times did a pick charge more than 2 hrs time. Only three times did a pick time out at 3 Hrs plus one other time where a c clock ran out. Everyone else had at over an hour left Only three times did a player get skipped. Can't ask for much more than that. Thanks for everyone's cooperation.

NBA's site really hurt us and may have affected trading, but we got through it and started and finished just as planned. The NBA site took down the "coming soon" info but nothing is there. Absolutely NOTHING!!! Will work on Constituion on our G20/24 site leading up to the season. Have posted the two traded draft picks (corrected GO/PR deal) for next year in the LM message for now. Might leave it.

I am not going to be around Sunday afternoon. Not sure exactly when I have to head out at this point though--might be after 1:00. Also may need some lag time to process any WW claims. Guess we could do have all claims in by 11 am Sunday and it will open at Noon? I am open to day and time.

Thanks to everyone for a super smooth draft.

Even a bigger THANKS to Ref. He did amazing amounts of work for the draft, and spent many hours prepping and testing ESPN as the new home for G20 Hoops.

HipHip Hooray! HipHip Hooray!

Good luck to everyone this season.

No one else has had any thoughts so we will just go with GO's suggestion.

No pickups will be allowed until Noon ET on Sunday. If you have a WW pick, EMAIL me BY 11:00 ET on Sunday morning.
