RIHC AAA #1 Managers - You are each invited (although not required) to post your general reflections on the completed draft. Comments may be as detailed or as general as you wish. As a catalyst, free free to comment on any of the following:

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

5. If you could start over, would you do anything differently?

Non-managers are also welcome to post general comments on the draft, and to raise questions.

1) Best available player in early part of draft--ended up struggling at PG and C but overall pretty happy.

2)I was happy with Odom...the longer Bynum is out the happier I'll be! I would probably consider D Williams over Kobe in the 1st round but only time will tell.

3)Swingandamiss has a nice team with some guys I really like....

4) I was surprised at how early some "sleepers" were taken--- guess if you wanted them you had to reach...not many on my target list fell far enough for me to consider.

5) No regrets-- I'd probably end up with the same team again!

1) my plan was to go with the best available player early in the draft and then fill in the weak spots as I went on and finished with best available the last few rounds. I think I executed my plan pretty well.

2) Favorite Picks- Kidd and Pierce-
Least Favorite- Curry- Really wanted Kobe, Bogut- no real player jumped out here so I went with size- not real happy, Bynum- I really like bynum, but I didnt realize he was out til atleast nov.

3) I like Fricks team- Hard to go against the Longhorn :)

4) I was shocked with some of the reaches out there. there were some players taken up to 3 rounds before I had them projected.

5) Not pick Bynum- and Pick a later draft slot- I did not want curry, I wanted Kobe- If I couldnt get Kobe I would rather have picked like 12 and went with a Nash and Melo combo

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

Whatever happened I wanted a C with one of my 2 first picks... guys that dont kill me in FT...

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

I really liked my Ray Allen pick in the 7th round. Overall pretty happy with my team, I might have reached for Jrue Holiday however... time will tell...
My Pacer duo was rather early, but I think they can have a huge year...

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

Frick's Team.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

That it went great without a clock :)

5. If you could start over, would you do anything
differently?

Prolly draft me a PG earlier....

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

Since we decided to go with a normal snake draft, the first overall pick was to good to pass on. I considered taking #2, but knowing I was going to busy it was nice to have the back to back picks.

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

Well I also have Durant in G20 also, but it is hard to not label this as my favorite pick, although it was all luck. I do think my pick of Evan Turner could turn out ok. Artest in the 13th could also work out.

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

I normally keep a spreadsheet with projections, but due to time limitations this year I didn't. If some of Addicted's later picks work out, his team looks good.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

Not much, it seemed the draft would move very quickly and then die for a day at a time. Overall we made decent progress though.

5. If you could start over, would you do anything differently?

Nothing! I have to admit that I was surprised there wasn't more support for the banzai draft. I benefited from not having one, but it really does even out some of the playing field and I might not have taken the first overall pick in that format.
