Okay....wow what an action packed Holiday and draft session we had. I want to apologize for any and all of the hoopla we all encountered with each other through the draft. I should have gotten us started much earlier ! Initially I did not think or compare the fact it was the Holidays until we were a few days into the draft. Based on last year we had plenty of time...but again with drafting in the middle of our school functions, shopping, and vacations......what a mess. Now we know why they Do not start the season at Christmas.
Hope we all have fun and good luck to everyone. Seeing how I am in last place I might need a lot of luck in 2012 !

CJ,
I think we are battling for last place and would like to give that position back to you or someone else ASAP. Could you please help me out?

I think I got it back ! Ha Ha Ha I guess I can say that I am waiting on a few players to start contributing? Pierce, Fields, Stoudemire, Noah. All of these mentioned are proven to stuff the stat sheet....but so far they are doing half of what they can do. Alot of missed games early as well......wish Yahoo would get the Games left updated so I can gauge how many games left. To prove this....I have Stoud, Tyson, Noah, and Love but I am 3rd to last in Boards........ha ha ha
I do not plan on being last for the whole season.

WEll injuries are part of the game but I sure have them to curretnly--maybe need 18 man team:
#1 Wade out and possible planter fascitis
#3 Lopez out
#4 D. Wright might as well be injured
#5 Bynum misssed first 4 games but making up ground
#14 Hamilton out
pickup: M. Williams out but should have known better than to give up player even if non-producing but held for potential.

Already dropped 4 of my draft choices due to need to makeup certain categories or non-performance.

With shortenened season things get magnified and injuries will play a big role.

At least temmporily out of cellar.

The season is already a month old and is going very quickly.

It sure is easy to fall behind in games played with injuries especially with days like yeasterday when I had no one playing. Wednesday I had supposedly everyone playing but still had 2 spots not used due to injury or out for "personal reasons". With the compact schedule will have to be more willing to drop injured players and take some on for a brief time it looks like.

Most pleasant surprise so far: Rubio despite his shooting woes recently.
Biggest disappointments: D. Wright, Morrow and Casspi
Best FA pickup: Shumpert, T Prince(before MN game)

There is still a long ways to go but glad to be out of the cellar with the good competition.

The Yahoo projected games are still off a bit.
According to my calculations by the end of tonight you should have 19.27 games played per position.
Total games should be 231 games. (19.27 x 12)
If all 12 of your players who have games play tonight you will be at 232.
If you take Yahoo's numbers and add 3 you should come closer to your actual games ahead/behind.

Another little trick you can use is to look at the standings and see how many games each team has played.
Teams play 66, we play 68, but 2 games over the course of the season isnt all that much to adjust for.

THanks Weykool. There are 816 games allowed (12x68) and it appears about 1/3 games done already for most teams. I am at the low end so will need to pick up a few here. Hopefully, my guys will start getting healthy.

CJ, Everytime, I look in the rear view mirror, I seem to see you. I am getting nervous your team might try to pass.

Actually, it appears there are 820 games allowed the way the system works both on Yahoo and ESPN.

Congratulations again to everyone for a great season and especially to Jasonproof and Hoopstown.

Season ending thoughts for my team are that I probably did as well as I could of wth what I dealt myself. I moved back to 5th thinking I would take Love or Rose but took Wade instead when he was available. Probably should have stayed with the original plan and been a "homer" and taken Love which would have changed who I picked in the early rounds.

#1 Wade great when he played but only played 49 games. It will be intersting to see how he does in playoffs. We have not heard of the planter fasciitis which was mentioned early in the season.
#2 Aldridge--great while he lasted
#3 LOpez injured before he started
#4 D. Wright--I cannot believe I held him all season hoping he would break out and when he did briefly at the end he got benched with an "injury"
#5,6,7 Bynum, Jennings, Boozer were great picks that helped me survive since they played almost all the game they were eligible.
#8 DJ Augustin--on and off
#9 Casspi--dud
#10 Rubio great "homer" pick until injured as I was at or near top in assists and steals until injury.
#11-16 included R. Hamilton, T. Thompson, and K. Thompson--all of them I dropped at least twice and picked up twice during the season. Another "homer" Milicic was a real dud and I missed on picking up Pekovic.

Best pickups: early Jan: Shumpert(should have held him but dumped him Feb when Baron came back); late Jan: Prince, James Johnson, and Gooden; late Feb. Affalo after he got dropped by someone; late march JJ Hickson after trade and just before Aldridge injury.

I was way behnd early in rebounds and falling in blocks with lack of true big man except Bynum with Lopez injury. I was also playing catchup during the season with 3's which I thought I would be tops with Morrow and Wright initially. I was most happy with FT% this year as in past have usually been last or second to last.
