Here is a description of the FAAB from Yahoo.

Description

This article explains the Free Agent Acquisition Budgets (FAAB) waivers system for Yahoo! Fantasy Sports leagues.

Resolution

In a Free Agents Acquisition Budgets (FAAB) waivers system, each manager receives a dollar amount to place blind bids on players that are on waivers. The manager with the highest bid at the end of the waiver period claims that player and that bid amount is deducted from the team's acquisition budget.

Please note:
•The FAAB does not apply to free-agent pickups. All free agents are able to be picked up on a first-come, first-serve basis, without bids.
•Bids are hidden to other managers until a player clears waivers. The winning bid will display in the Transaction log. Players with multiple bids placed on them will display under "FAAB Bids" on a league's Transactions log.
•In Fantasy Football, there isn't an option to have players continuously be on waivers.
•The FAAB system charges you the exact amount you bid if your bid is successful. It will never automatically adjust your bid to beat any other bids by $1.
•The default FAAB budget for teams is $100. The commissioner of a custom league may change this amount at any time throughout the season by using the Acquisition Budgets tool, found in the "Team Management" section of the Commish Tools page.
•You can submit $0 bids, and if no one else bids more, you will be able to claim that player.
•There isn't an option to force managers to make a minimum bid amount.

FAAB tiebreakers

If multiple managers place an equal bid on a player, there are three tiebreaker options:
•Continual rolling list: Waiver claims are processed in waiver priority order and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list.
•Reverse order of standings (Football only): Waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and successful claims do not affect waiver priority list.
•Weekly rolling list based on standings (Football only): Waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list.

I had players in my Que...after my pick (auto Pick) it cleared out my que completely. I do not want this to happen again..How?

There are 2 queues. General queue and picked based queue. You need to use the general queue if you don't want it cleared out.

Rondo and Dwight....guess what CAT I am going to forgo?
And why did Dwight go so far? He has Gasol next to him and should open his numbers up as he will be the energy bunny and I thought Gasol would be the one to take a numbers hit?
My pick was between Gasol and Dwight.....Normally I take the % but with Rondo already......Might as well roll the dice. And you can see TD took Gasol the very next pick.

Is it me or did Yahoo change things from last year?
I used to be able to create a team and shop for a league. Or a different way to look at it is I created a team but only allowed me to do so after I chose a League and when I wanted to leave the League the only way to do so was to Delete the team.
Sure it was not that way last year?

Well then I am also curious...but not a real big deal...Just that I got my General Que with players but I did not activate it to auto pick though. I know with my 6th pick I got D rose and I had Gino first but of course he got picked ahead of me. I would NOT have taken D Rose but I got him because he was prob next in my que. I just added players I would select from.....it seemed like a few days and my pick never came up then I go to work for 6 hours and I have D Rose.
Very Confusing....do not remember it being like this last year?

I agree. Given the low value of these late round picks and the availability of queues, a 2 hour clock is not unreasonable. Lets get this draft over with by tomorrow.

However, can people do one thing first? That is make for those who have queues the queues available? There are presently by my count, 7 people who have queues set. Only 3 of the queues are set to autopick.

With auto-pick (and no specific instructions), there should never be a need to make a queue "available". Draftime is a very brainless operation.

When the draft was live, you could click on the player name and it would tell you who made the pick. It appears that option is no longer available. Perhaps the administrator still does.
