1.07 Al Jefferson(Uta - PF,C) He'll always be famous for being the guy who wasn't worth trading Kevin Garnett to Boston. However, he was one of the league's best big men last year.

2.06 James Harden(Hou - SG,SF) Great season last year, think he will be even better this year. Hope trade to Houston doesn't make him the guy that gets double teamed though. I took him before the trade.

3.07 Al Horford(Atl - PF,C) Another exceptional big man! Just went for best available at the time regardless of position, a decision I regretted later in draft when all the PGs were gone.

4.06 Danny Granger(Ind - SF,PF) Pacer's stud player. Hope he dont sit for blowouts this year.

5.07 Kyle Lowry(Tor - PG) The run on PGs had me running scared and I was ready to take whatever I could get. Hope Calderon dont steal too many minutes, or even his starting gig.

6.06 Manu Ginobili(SA - SG,SF) How can you go wrong with this guy. Needs to stay healthy.

7.07 Jeff Teague(Atl - PG) Choices for assists getting fewer and fewer, its now or never.

8.06 Anderson Varejao(Cle - PF,C) A full season without injury and this is a sleeper in the 8th round. Go Cavs!

9.07 Elton Brand(Dal - PF,C) Dirk is out, Kaman is hobbled. Brand should be the man in the early going. Even if both those guys come back strong, they will give him enough minutes to be fantasy relevant.

10.06 Evan Turner(Phi - SG,SF) Tremendous upside, now that Iguodala is gone, he could shine. #2 at PG on depth chart will give him three position eligibility and should portend some additional assists this year. Hey the guy was #2 overall pick, right? Go Buckeyes!

11.07 Dion Waiters(Cle - SG) I'm a Cavs fan, season ticket holder before Lebron left. What can I say?

12.06 Kirk Hinrich(Chi - PG,SG) Rose's rep til he comes back. Is the groin that bad? Waivering reports, it was no big deal when i took him.

13.07 Nikola Vucevic(Orl - PF,C) If he is the starter, should be source of Blocks and Rebounds.

14.06 Hedo Turkoglu(Orl - SF,PF) Maybe a shadow of what he used to be, hoping for a rebound. Bring me some 3s.

15.07 Kosta Koufos(Den - PF,C) Should start for Denver this year, hopefully wont share too much with Javale. Did I tell ya, I am a Buckeye who lives in Colorado?

1.11 Carmelo Anthony - I was really hoping for Josh Smith to fall this far, had to take next best.
2.02 Demarcus Cousins - I have been targeting this guy in all my drafts. I feel a big season coming along.
3.11 I didnt see an obvious PG to take in this slot, so I went with a SG/SF combo player. Could still put up decent numbers across the board, hopefully with a defined role/position.
4.02 Finally got my PG. Not the one I was after, but it will have to do at this point.
5.11 Roy Hibbert - Needed a big man, and this guy could be a beast if he stays out of foul trouble.
6.02 David West - Needed a PF. Probably should have waited and taken Lillard. I was expecting him to fall further.
7.11 Luol Deng - Steady production from this guy. I am hoping for some big scoring numbers while Rose is out.
8.02 Eric Gordon - Big injury risk, but also very high potential if he stays healthy.
9.11 Jonas Valanciunas - Could be a good sleeper pick, could be a bust. I think this is around the point I did not do as much research on my picks. I had started getting up at 430 for work and getting home 830 that night.
10.02 Austin Rivers - Another young guy with some upside. Really not sure what type of numbers to expect at this point.
11.11 Derrick Williams - positional need. Im hoping for some big numbers while Love is out. Try and get a good start.
12.02 AJ Price - Again, hoping for some big numbers while Wall is out.
13.11 Lamar Odom - lack of research. If he gets fit, could possibly be a useful part of the rotation
14.02 Bismack Biyombo - WHen the minutes are there, this guy will be getting blocks all over the place.
15.11 Nate Robinson - After another PG, could possibly play decent minutes and put up strong scoring/assists/steals numbers.

Overall rating. 6/10. I have a feeling I will be back in AA next season.

1.03 Chris Paul: A top scorer and assists player--top 3 picks were no surprise in this draft.
2.10 Greg Monroe: Monroe has great upside this year. I was looking big but didn't expect to get 2 top 10 players in the first two rounds.
3.03 Brandon Jennings: Didn't really want a PG here, but Jennings is too good to pass up. A solid scoring guard.
4.10 Ersan Ilyasova: This guy almost won me G20 last year. I've seen him ranked too low about each player list I've looked at, but he's a double double machine who averages a block and a trey a game.
5.03 Samuel Dalembert: Solid rebounding and blocking numbers. I wanted another big man here because not only do they add rebounding and blocking, but FG% as well. Dalembert also has a surprisingly good FT%.
6.10 Kevin Martin: Needed to beef up scoring numbers. When uninjured, Martin can pour it in but doesn't bring much else to the table. There is a natural limit, IMO, to a one or category player even at this point in the draft, but I'm please he was available. With the Harden trade I'm not sure how his role will evolve but he's certainly going to get his shots in.
7.03 Kenneth Faried: Another player with double-double potential.
8.10 Luis Scola: Scola's stock seems to have dropped, but I still like his ability to shoot high percentage shots and run the floor. Not a good FT shooter and doesn't attack the rebounds like he did, but he's a good fit at round 8.
9.03 Bradley Beal: Beal, like Martin, is all shot and little else. He could average more than 20 ppg but that's about it. He does shoot the three, though.
10.10 J. J. Redick: Was getting worried about my trey shooting for some reason. I like Reddick but I took him way too early. His FT% and 3PM will help, but really he's not a guy I should have taken.
11.03 Gerald Henderson: He's like Antawn Jamison: The best player on a crappy team. He seems to do what he has to in order to help his team out, and he'll probably lead his team in scoring.
12.10 James Johnson: This guy's got a wide skill set, but won't see the court enough for me, I don't think.
13.03 Drew Gooden: #1 I don't recall actually drafting him, though he was in my queue. His role is too reduced and unsettled at this point.
14.10 Jarrett Jack: #2 I don't recall actually drafting him, though he was in my queue. He brings assists which was lacking on the squad. Hopefully he'll get the PT to make it happen.
15.03 Alonzo Gee: #3 I don't recall actually drafting him, though he was in my queue. A decent 10/5 player, he's now the starter at SF for the Cavs with a decent amount of upside as a result.

Has anyone heard from CJ? He hasn't set his lineup yet. Maybe he has no access because of Sandy.

Should Wolfer set his lineup if possible?

wolfer: According to draftime, you made 3 of the 4 last picks in the draft for me, even though very little time had passed and that my draft queue was specifically made not available.

As I posted in the draft thread, this is very, very not cool.

Indeed, for the last two picks I was actually in Draftime and doing research to firm up those last picks. There was no reason to have those picks made for me, and you were not in a position to tell what my final selection was going to end up being, since I didn't know myself.

I think this is a serious issue that deserves more than a snarky answer.

Wolfer - Were there names available to choose from when you made three picks for PD? Apparently it was 'unavailable'. And if there were no names there ... why and how did you select those players?

There was an option to override and I thought there was a couple of players on each pick. I just went with the top pick.

I am not concerned about "punishment". I am trying to figure out why you thought that over-riding PermDude's selection was the correct thing to do.

PD was very timely with his picks. Just barely over 5 hours of accumulated clock time. There were many managers that had huge clock time. I'm not going to name names, but that is not hard to figure out. Five managers used more than 15 hours. Three of those used more than 28 hours. One manager used up 58 hours!

Certain managers certainly deserved to be over-ridden. PermDude was not one of them. Your decision makes little sense to me.

So how many other times did you over-ride a manager's unavailable queue?

Or was it just the three times with PD?

It was just those three I believe. I picked for CJ legally as a designated picker.

It looks to me that you made PD's picks because you were defensive after being accused of "not paying attention". Perhaps you were trying to move things along after receiving requests to activate the clock. But it's a complete mystery to me why you would over-ride PermDude, and not any of the other 10 managers.

It's far too late to fix anything now. The worms have already escaped from this can.

I just hope that you realize for the future that as Commish, you can make picks for managers that have made their queues "available". If the queue is not available ... DON"T MAKE ONE. Just let the clock time-out, and move onto the next manager.

Re 5 and 21......

I forgot to mention this when I was explaining earlier. I sent him an email to see whats up. Now I will ask everyone this. Does anyone know if I can set a roster up for him tomorrow if he does not respond? Its probably easier for me to ask this way than to do research to see if I can.

Same here. Me neither. Has he posted in other threads lately? He has no one who is playing tonight, so I will give him until 3 PM CDT tomorrow to set a lineup. If he does not have one set by then, I will set a roster for him with what he has available. I will NOT do any roster moves - I have seen that before - see my football league.

I don't normally criticize commissioners because it is a time-consuming and thankless job, but I have a problem with the lack of response by wolfer after PermDude mentioned that someone was making his picks on 10/26.

If wolfer admitted to making the picks at that time, and apologized to PermDude it would have been OK.

But he didn't admit to making the picks until six days later on 11/1 after PermDude found out thru drafttime that wolfer made the picks.

A bit confused. Never played RIHC before... if one of my guys gets injured and has the INJ tag can I declare him to be injured and add another player without dropping someone else?
29Perm Dude

Yes--there are two extra slots that can be filled with replacement players. Note that the injured players have to be worse than day-to-day and you would need to drop a player as soon as they are back.

This is a result of the NBA getting rid of its injury/disabled list.

Just one thing i would add to that. Please post in the yahoo league message system that you are declaring an injury when you add someone without dropping.

The big boy league also maintains a thread for IS players. If you have a guy who isnt listed there, reply to their thread with a reference. All leagues will appreciate your contribution.

So we're a month into the season.

My two worst players (according to Yahoo rankings), are my first and second round picks. (Josh Smith & Ty Lawson)

I noticed the max games played per position is 82. It is normally 84. Should this be changed?

Although not true of rotoguru leagues, 82 is standard rotisserie. Not sure why we use 84 at rotoguru, but does it really matter? Its not like one guy gets more games than the next.

18 more games for your bench to play is really not that significant to me.
