The StLCards stable had a good week bringing home 2 wins and a 5th. French Iron broke his Maiden at 10f on turf winning a nice $45K in KY. Hero Grub barely broke a sweat to get her 5th win in DE in a NW1x this week only needing to run an 86SP at 8f to beat the 3 other horses in the field. She came back a little groggy so I think I'll give her a breather. Been running her every 2 weeks.
The StLCards1 stable on the other hand didn't fare so well. Rich Wine got injured in her dirt sprint. As expected Nine Rally came in a miserable last in the Gobble Gobble stakes this week in MO. This stable is based in MO and there was a contest that I felt obliged to enter but had no horse, but what the heck. Dusty Colony ran a nice 89SP in his maiden race but once again can't break his maiden coming in 3d.
My StLCards3 stable managed a 1st, 2nd, and a 3d. Cryptomile won her maiden easily running wire to wire. The 2nd and 3d place finishes were both in claims races were I kept the horses (2yo colt Her Atoms and 3yo colt Forty Six Champ). Neither horse is any good, but with the new pt system I could be in good shape. I may run French Iron in high claimers where he will do well without drawing a lot of attention from a SP perspective. He is a plodder but is consistent at most every distance. PRobably can't win anywhere else exceot claimers at this point.
I also went ahead and bred a 5yo Green Dancer Mare with Little Missouri. (Dang, there goes the MO loyalty again). Not looking for great things but you never know.

20 races, 5 wins, 2 2nd's, 4 3rd's. Things are getting back into form at Madman stables after that debacle last week.
Notes:
* I just broke the $1 million barrier in earnings from all 4 stables combined.
* First week I had 3 horses break 100.
* Jericho Velvet became my first 100+ turf runner, my 6th horse overall.
* I lost Admirable Launch (two time 97+ speed horse) for 30K in claimers. Also lost Zinc Dad and Arctic Government. I dumped Admirable Launch since I got him for 7.5K and the guy couldn't seem to run unless it was in a claim race. Does this sim have a "class" aspect to it? I think so, perhaps.
Losing Arctic Government wasn't a big loss at all, IMO. More trouble than he was worth. Zinc Dad -- my first winner ever! Oh well. He wasn't much good for me. I need the stable space since I need some new blood. I'm going to continue to flood claimers with all my questionable horses over the next few weeks. I want to get a bunch of breed points before next March or so, and then breed a bunch of high class 2yo's. Or that is the plan, anyway.

As I just said above, Admirable Launch should be dropped from this list. And Midget Talent. I'm thinking about removing horses from this list and putting them into a "has-been" list after they have been officially retired from Gurupie stables. . . until then . . . (Note: I may have missed recent 90+ speed performances. Playing the claiming game has been, and will continue to be brutal i think..For a while yet anyway...
It is a very fine line between placing your horses in it's rightful class,getting them in the top 3 and hanging on to them or running them in tag races that are too high(or too low and they get claimed) and running down the track...(and on top of that,you have a $300 travel restrictiion)...I had 3 horses(Our idols,Jay theatre and Denny's aggie(ire)) in claiming races this weekend...All 3 placed itm and all 3 got claimed...and they have all been running in similar races in the last few months and never been looked at before...I seriously doubt they will be any more than claimng horses but the value is obviously a lot more now(for collecting bp's)...
I even saw a post on the MB that indicated that they would claim a horse to prevent the owner from accumulating too many bp's....
On the other hand...It does seem that there is a slightly higher class(maybe?)horse going into claiming races..And it also seems chances of claiming horses are better...More to choose from means claims are more spread around i guess...
On the racing front,I had 8/10 itm this week...2 winners...Pepi undercut finally broke his maiden which was probably the highlight...
After the success of Blame the run last week, I decided to breed another baby by Storm god...
Rainbows End...Storm god x Fast gold x I'm a hell raiser...Cost 36 pts... He is a 2yo colt and RTG...As far as i am aware there are no Storm god progeny in the sim yet(although i think one other got bred last week as well)...Davarto's sim sire seems to only update periodically so i am not totally sure about that...
Sloppy station can be dropped from that list, Madman...He is running around for someone else now...
The list is looking pretty impressive now...Once upon a time getting a 90 sp was an achievemnet...Everyone is improving their stables in leaps and bounds!...
I'm not gone be around to see my horses run next weekend...I will be at my brother's wedding...Maybe i will be able to find a computer sunday or monday!..lol...
