I think there is a serious problem with picther consistency that needs to be dealt with when the new sim comes out. My team (Mets) has the best ERA in the NL by a fair margin, but they SUCK. Just look at the scrubs I got on the "best" staff in the NL. It really doesn't make any sense, but maybe they're just on a fluke run and will start to suck soon. But hey, my hitting is as bad as I thought it would be, woohoo!

Well my team in exactly the opposite.... I went out and traded for Brian Bohanon and Aramis Ramirez. I should have a top pitching staff as well as a pretty good hitting team. I am 4-8. I just split with the 1-7 Yankees !!! well now ther are 3-9. My ace got shelled in game 1 and I gave up 15 runs !!! I am ready to trade all my high priced talent if they don't start producing. They have another few days (GSB weeks) to start earning their paycheck before I pull a cincinati and give up !!

i have bohanon in another league and he's not producing at all. he's 4-5 with an era over 5. but i've heard leagues where he's won the cy young. he'll eventually start producing.

I picked Up Menhart and he gave up 8 runs in 2 innings in a 12 - 2 route by the Orioles, thank god it is only my second loss this season...

I have Bohanon, Colon, Nen, Benes (1st 2 Starters,2nd 2 are closers) and from what I've seen in other leagues those 4 are all top notch pitchers. Colon is doing good (2-0 2.25 ERA and leads the league in Strike outs) the my two closers have yet to give up a run but because of my record havn't played much. Just wondering....When i got the team Nen was listed as a starter but his stamina is about 225 so I changed him to set up....should I change him back to a starter since right now he is barely playing ??

I just got swept even though I have Rodriguez, Ordonez and Vaughn, not to mention 4 other above average hitters.

You won't go away Matt, I am 14-2 and still only have a 1 game lead. This is going to be one interesting pennant race.

just picked up Bergman for 3 prospects from the dodgers, so my rotation should be improved and hopefully win a few more games, and i also got garrett anderson form the northern league, he should provide some power for my lineup.

Guys Im looking to cut back my payroll...I have a fairly good team (Cardinals) and if you don't want to lose all your money on signing bonuses on the waiver wire take a look at my team. I have a very wek farm team and would be looking for prospects or young guys but just about anyone is available:)

Twarpy i sent an in-gmae e-mil expressing my interest in a few of your of's let me know what oyu like and we will work out a deal... It will hve to be a good one too, I jsut released Geof Jenkins, who has the ratings, but hasn't been playing like them, I wish the sim would work correctly...

The SIM is not very accurate.....In real life players might go through cold streaks but not cold seasons.....here a players who has the numbers (so it's not that they are over acheivers) will have a horrible season even if their career #'s are great !!!

I dunno, look at Troy O'Leary and Shawn Casey, I'd say they're having cold seasons. As did Frank Thomas for 2 seasons in a row.

finally I move 2 games up on the Mariners, for the first 6 weeks I was 1 game down. What happened to you guys? You got swept by the now 12 - 16 Yanks?
In other news, Twarpy I am sorry but scott downs is to valuable to this organization he is looking to produce better than Adam Flohr who is 3 - 0 1.13 ERA in 6 Starts. as a matter of fact after Ryan Price showed another mediocre performance, Downs is now slated to start vs Pedro Martinez and the Mariners in Game 2 of tonights series which faces the two best teams (Record Wise) against each other. Royals (#2 AL Batting #1 AL Pitching 22 -6) vs Mariners (#1 AL Batting #2 AL Pitching 20 -8) This is also a Division Rival and the first time the teams meet this year, the second is at the years end, in week 16.

The Mariners got hit bad last night against the Yanks. But we will come back, and make up those two games in no time, this team is just too good. Matt, we both have incredible teams, and the division will be decided the last week of the season, no doubt about that.

Mariners/Royals Split the Series 2-2 Mariners are the first team to figure out pitching star Mark Clark nailing him for 9 Hits and 4 Runs in 6 Innings. The Mariners won games where the Royals Vets Started but Adam flohr and Scott Downs both 18 got wins, Downs pitched a 7in 4Hit SO while Flohr allowed 2 ER in 8 Innings, his era is still below 2. The AL West Has the 3 Teams with the Best Records in Baseball all seperated by 4 games... only 1 goes to the ALCS, we have a heck of a race people.

I was looking at your trade for Bohanon, and I think this could be one of those trade deadline trades that comes back to haunt a team. Bohanon is a hell of a pitcher, dont' get me worng, but Hunter and Scott look to be damn good players. I really like Darryl Scott. He could be the Giants hero in a year or two. I hope Bohanon works out for you, but the Cubbies are going to win the series!

Bohanon threw a Shut out in his first game as a Royal. Scott is good, but I have plenty of talent to follow him and Bohanon will be around for a couple of years. You have to remember I have Scott Downs and Adam Flohr both starting for me at Age 18 and they are doing better than most pitchers in the league. AS for hitters I assessd the value of the guys you mentioned and realized that i don't "need" them, yes they are good, but i have the talent to follow them too...

well, if i thought people would take offense I would mention it, oh well I thought this was chat about GSB b3 league am i wrong or are Scott Downs and Adamn Flohr both B3 league players???? Sorry if it pisses you off. Its not every day though it was the 19/22/25th of july that i mentioned them too, if you are so sick of it don't read my posts it is that simple. Thanks.... God I sound cocky, sorry for the arrogant post, I am having a bad day and the last post got under my skin, i hope you all understand. Go Royals :)

Dude you've acted like a cocky arrogant prick since this league began. You act as if you're this wiz manager who's built this great team when in fact you were simply given a team that was much much more talented than most of the rest of the league and you were given like the #2 pick in the draft in addition to this great talent advantage. Instead of the Commish making all the teams even, he stacked 2 teams with talent and made everyone else even.

If I hadn't already done so much work on my team I'd try to switch into your division just so I could kick your team on a regular basis. And if you don't like my posts you can kiss my ass.

Go Mariners :)

My cubs are starting to piss me off. They should be winning a lot more games than this. I think ownership might have to fire the manager. Some one has to take the blame for this team's lack of production, and i know it is not my fault ;)

Two weeks left and 1 game seperates 3 teams in the Wild NL West. The Giants go on the road riding a 3 game win streak without one of their big guns Carlos Febles to battle the Astros while the Padres come to LA riding their own 3 game streak to battle the Dodgers! DOWN the stretch they come!

The AL West series is tight. I am 2 games up facing the Rangers this week and then the Royals and I duke it out in the final series of the year. This could come down to the wire, good luck to all and I hope to see you in the post season. Not Eat Acid though, his Indians are tough to beat... :)

One week to go and it's down to the Dodgers and Giants for the division! The Dodgers go on the road to battle the EVIL Giants! The Dodgers need a split to take the division while the Giants need at least 3 of 4. This should be EPIC!

After sweeping the Rangers the Royals have Clinched the AL West Division title. Which is a shame, I was hoping for a battle int he final series between us and the Mariners. Oh well Clark and Thompson still battle for the Winningest pitcher in the AL. Good luck to all in Div. Races...

Well well my mediocre Dodgers have survived to reach the World Series for a chance to slay the giant from the AL. All of the Dodger fans will be bringing their terrible towels, rally caps, comeback monkey dolls, good luck charms, horseshoes, and batteries to help the team bring home the BIG ONE! We're bringin Vin Scully, Tommy Lasorda, and Kirk Gibson for luck too. We're gonna SHOCK THE WORLD! Bring it ON!!! lol
