Subject: O2 Talk: Other leagues Posted by: blue hen - [386331314] Fri, Jul 28, 12:39 Hey O2ers, Are any of you guys in other leagues? Are your teams there good? Bad? Lots of Gurupies? Do you consider your O2 team your "main" team? I had a team that was in season 4 with about 70 mill in the bank, great lineup, good prospects, and I gave it up because I found it damn hard to keep track of everything. Also, besides SW and GSB, what other games do you play? | ||||||

My O2 team is my "main" team by virtue of it being my only team. After the summer is over i will barely have enough time for just this one team, so i am trying to limit myself. I also am probably giving up SW for good after this baseball season. My regular season team is ranked in the 300s right now, and i would love to have my swan-song be finishing in the top 100 (but i doubt this will happen). I do get a kick out of them, but when life gets busy, time-consuming fantasy sports have to be one of the first things to go, unfortunately. Bean Dip P.S. I do plan on hanging on to my one GSB team, but will probably be spending a lot less time on the site. Hopefully i will be built up enough by then to just watch as the Indians dominate the league (once again, however, i doubt this will happen). | |||||

I have 3 GSB teams. I definitely consider the Braves to be my main team. I started a couple of others only because I was handed a very good team with an excellent farm system and there really wasn't much I had to do for it. I wanted to try to build a team from the dumps. I have one team in P that was absolutely destroyed by it's previous owner. It went bankrupt only a few days after I got it. It had NO decent players in the whole organization (the whole org. only had about 50 players), so that has been a challenge. I play Smallworld, but not very well. I do well for the first couple of months, then I look at other teams that are pulling away from me in my division, and they have about $20 million more than me....not sure how that happens...lol. I also play Sandbox, Foxsports, and Yahoo. | |||||

My main team is in V2. It was during the playoffs last season that I wanted to pick up another team, one in a league with Gurupies. Little did I know what having two teams entails. I was just starting the get to know the names of a few of the players in V2 when I started getting them confused with O2. It is too much and I think I am going to drop the Cardinals. And Blue Hen, it's not every day that you actually meet someone who will admit to living in your sorry excuse for a state, much less be proud of the mascot, a cancerous chicken. There are at least 15 counties in California alone that are larger and more populous than "The First State". And what have you ever offered us, Joe Biden, thanks. #1 in cancer deaths, WHO HOO go Delaware. (At least you were smart enough to go to Emory) PS: Is this what you look for in a Blue Hen jr. recipient? ;) | |||||

Seattle Zen, Exactly. How can you expect to stand out in California? The state is too damn big. I didn't even know we were #1 in cancer deaths. I only knew we were number one in most Fortune 500 companies (more than half of them, in fact). Wilmington is also the chemical capital of the world, thanks to DuPont. And, oh yeah... the blue hen jr award is a big honor. It'll take more than a few funny remarks to win. But keep trying... | |||||

I've got 2 Grandslam teams. I've got the Red Sox here in O2 and I have the Mets in F3. I haven't really decided which is my main team though. I don't really find having 2 teams is that big of a problem. However, my 6 SW teams do get a bit confusing after awhile...(3 MS, 3 FS). | |||||

Probably the Yanks being the team I pay the most attention to being they were my first. But now that the Fathers are in the pennant race I have been payin a good amount of attention. | |||||
