I was just curious now that we've all probably had 2/3 seasons of being able to develop our minor leaguers if anyone has a legit star player that they've developed. I mean not those guys with 460 average and nothing else but the legit stars with 460+ average, 350+ hr's, and 350+ gap.

In 5/6 seasons after all of the original stars have retired it will be interesting to see what the results of a strong farm system will look like. Will the leagues be really watered down in talent or will certain teams begin to dominate consistently because they spent the time/money on their farm system?

I have some home grown talent on my teams. My best player that came from my farm system is 12 star SP Scott Downs, with all for attributes in the 400's, and will continue to increase considering he is only 19.

First, I think you'll find fewer and fewer of the stupendous superstars. I do think the Commish felt there was too much talent from his initial specifications. Don't expect too many 500 AVG 500 HR 495 GAP players anymore.

Nevertheless, I have a couple of players that were generated after the league I'm in started that do match your above description. They'll be comparably few, and you will need to complement them with lesser players to be effective.

I traded for Nick Johnson in Week 4 of Season 1. At the time, he was the Dodgers' 3rd or 4th rated prospect, 20 years old with some decent numbers (I believe he was in Triple-A. He had a nondescript Season 1, but broke out to lead the league in homers in Season 2, and also leads through five weeks of Season 3.

Incidentally, Johnson's power numbers aren't especially high; his AVG rating is 477, his speed is 494. He's not a stud on the level of Aramis Ramirez or Jose Valentin, but he is quite good.

The Red Sox have developed some major talent, a couple young pitchers with 400/400/400 and 450 control.
