0 Subject: O2 Season 4

Well, the new schedules are out, and for me at least, that signals our transition into season four.

Here is a list of gurupies in the league:

Bean Dip (me)--Indians
Eustacio--Red Sox
Blue Hen--Rangers
Sliced Bread--Giants
The Great One--Braves
Stick--Dodgers
Josie--Padres
Bearcat--Yankees
js--Orioles
Kevin--Cubs
Scott--Royals
Eric Freda--Cardinals

Also, here is the obligatory link to Sliced
Bread's O2 Page

Thanks once more Sliced Bread for engineering and
updating our leagues fantastic webpage.

Good luck all in the upcoming season. Last year the Astros proved that turnover is most definitely possible when they broke up the playoff "alliance." It will be interesting to see if any of the remaining members get bounced this year. Also, Sliced Bread will have a shot to try and get back in and make up for last year. With Rangel and Mark Clark, he certainly has a potent pitching staff now.

Yeah Eric, that was a strange game. None of my pitchers got a loss, I guess once you get to your fifth pitcher of the game, the sim loses track or something. Oh well. I am surprising still in first place with my less-than-solid team, I guess my pitching staff is keeping me in games. I know it won't be long before the Astros or Giants pass me, but I'll enjoy it while I'm here.

No offense Stick, but I'm rooting against you. I don't want to play you in the playoffs. Since this league started, the Dodgers have always given me problems. Plus you beat me in our W2 league last year.....i don't want to get a complex :)

I'm flattered. Honestly, I don't think you have anything to worry about from my team. Good luck in our series tonight.

I almost feel sorry for the Mariners...Game 1: 6-2 I win. Game 2: 23-4 killing of the Mariners. Game 3: 16-2 Stomping. Game 4: Okay, they got 1 game from me. Bean Dip, my team is on a hitting spree and I'm coming to town for ya!

What a debut!!
I just brought Kevin Tapani up this week for the last two weeks to test him out. In his first major league outing what does he do? He carries a no hitter into the 8th inning, gives up a single, gets the next guy to hit into a double play and retires the next batter. He leaves the game after 8 innings of one hit ball. He walked 3 and struck out 7. Not a bad first major league game, eh?

On a side note, The Great One looks safe as he brings a 4 game lead into our 4 game series tomorrow as I could only split my four games with the Mets today. Not a bad effort by my rebuilding squad though. :)

Take that Royals! A "thrashing". And the new sim is definitely here. Glad I hung onto Ryan Thompson. He's a keeper.

Dang, lost Danny Graves. Thought I could sneak it. He'll be missed this year, but I would have lost him anyway.

I'm in awe as well, and I will also say that he's used skill to build this team, as well as luck, so he earned it.

However, I split the season series with him and my guys are *itching* for revenge for last year... and the year before... and the year before that...

Bean Dip , congrads , I am jealous. All I can say is that 2 seasons ago I was in last , last year , last again , but this year , 4th worst record. Thats right and I am just getting better so you better watch IT!!!!! I know I would win if I had Bergman.

Great year, Bean Dip. blue hen has his work cut out for him in these playoffs. Great One, thanks. Hopefully I can repeat my W2 miracle in this league, although I'm not counting on it. Your team is definitely better than mine, in almost every category. Good luck.

Like I said Stick, I would much rather have played the Astros.....they are very one dimensional. They hit like crazy, but have no bullpen and commit a ton of errors cuz they have alot of guys out of position. You have a good well rounded team with no glaring weaknesses. It doesn't look like I'm gonna get a shot at revenge in W2 so I'm gonna try to get it here. And for me having a better team, I finished only one game ahead so it should be a good series.

I was just wondering on who everyone thinks is the best FA out there in our league. I have to say I will be making a big run at Ismael Reynoso to help out my very poor , poor lineup. I really sorry for my pitchers. Well just wondering on what you thought on that.

Well fought series blue hen. You gave me a solid run for my money.

We now have filled both vacated spots in the league as Beastiemiked has officially taken over the Yanks. Welcome Beastiemiked and Dev, and good luck in turning around those two organizations. I think Eric Freda has gone a long way towards showing how much progress can be made on a truly awful team in a relatively short time.

Thanks G.O. ;-)

On different note, has anyone taken down the stats for sliced bread yet? I have been trying to find the time to do it, but i keep getting really busy. It is possible sliced bread got his computer back up and this point is completely moot. However, if he is still off-line, the stats will disappear soon so if no one has done anything yet, we need to get that done. I will try to do it tomorrow, but I really don't know how much time i will have, so it might not be bad if someone else took them down as well just in case.

Bean Dip

PS. Happy hunting to all this off-season. As always, anyone on my team is available for the "right offer," but as you could probably guess, it would take a pretty significant offer for me to give up a few of those guys. Nonetheless, if you see someone you really want and you think you can improve my organization in compensation, i would love to talk trade.

No retirements and everybody re-signs....life is good. With my late season acquisitions from last year, this season's Braves should be the best team I've had yet. As I said in the e-mail, Valenti, Brower, and Myette are available, and it would probably just take prospects, as there is nothing I am looking for on the MLB team presently.

blah blah blah housecleaning. I sent a note to the league and several individual ones as well. I've got a lot of talent that can be yours, just ask for it. If not, I'll begin yet another cakewalk to the American League West title.

See ya in the LCS, Bean Dip.

Erasmo Ramirez is my Rookie of the Year candidate. He led the national league in saves and posted a 2.84 ERA.
What other rookies made big impacts this year?
How about league MVP? Cy Young? I don't really have contenders for them. Raul Franco was my best overall guy being near the top in both homeruns and stolen bases. But my amazing infield combo of Cintron and Martinez certainly deserve some recognition as well. They both had outstanding years.

Well Darryl Scott would be my best rookie but he wasn't as good as Ramirez. MVP candidate is Griffey, who led the world in homers and hit .370.

I am still willing to trade the guys I mentioned above. Hidalgo and Hatteberg are 400+,400+,400+ guys and Fitzgerald has a 460 AVG rating. Hibbard and Urban are good pitchers. The stats talk for themselves. These guys won't do me much good playing great unless they have a supporting cast. I am looking to trade these guys for minor leaguers. I will give them up very very cheap. E-mail my team if you are at all interested!! Good Luck with free agency and the upcoming season.
