The Orioles are now available in W2. We need a good manager to help restore the balance to the AL. The NL has had more dominating teams thru the first 4 seasons. We have 4 known Gurupies (Stick, Tim G, Great One and myself) and a couple of other active and veteran managers. 1st come 1st served. |

I am in W2 the Indians. I just took over and they are in a limbo. No prospects, high payroll. They had some very good guys and some very bad guys. I am hoping I can balance them out but it could take a while.

The Braves in W2 don't have an owner either. Hopefully we can get a gurupie or 2 into the league.

The Orioles and Braves now have owners, Bubba or Bills are you out there?
The NL has indeed been more dominating but my Royals are trying. In the AL West the Rangers are very good with excellent pitching, I can never seem to beat them. The Royals, White Sox, and Mariners all have active managers and we seem to have pretty evenly matched teams.
I don't know as much about the AL East but most of the teams seem to be 500 clubs. Maybe Dev can help raise the level of competition there.
Skinneej, Valentin has been amazing as have some of your other hitters and pitchers. You, Stick (Padres), and Great One (Cubs) have made some great free agent pick ups and outbid me on several occasions. The Mets have also turned it on this season. I don't watch the others as closely, since I don't "know" the managers. Pixy (Giants) is also very active as we have traded players over the past several seasons. Yaz (Cardinals) is a recent manager who seems to be very active.
I'm sure that I'm not saying anything the active managers don't already know, I'm just thinking out loud.

I'm having an off year this season. The Mets are taking me to the woodshed. Not a big fan of that...lol

My Indians have great hitting but they have been slumping lately. Also Shiell and Carpenter aren't doing that well lately. I lost a lot of close games last series.

The Braves and Orioles are open again if anyone is interested.

I'm now the Braves in W2. Looks like I won't be contending for a while. Hopefully I will have time to run both of my teams. My R2 team is pretty set right now.

Welcome BPG. You have done very well in the SW games, good luck with the Braves.

Ola! I'm the Orioles, and I'd like to know how an organization can carry ZERO players at Class A-I'm in for a long decade.

I've only got a couple guys in Class A, and they are both over 30. I can't release them because I have so few players on my roster.

The O's are again available. Gospos didn't last long before his resignation. Need another gurupie to rebuild this franchise.

Hopefully we can get another gurupie.
I have brought the Indians from the third worst team in the league to division leaders in one season. I survived my four weeks without Shiell but now Bravo is out for five (3 left) but he will be back for the home stretch. Mallete was awful filling in for Shiell. 0-4 with an era of at least 15. Oh well.
I have a few ROY candidates. Mark Gardner and Damon Hollins. Gardner has a 3.38 era and Hollins is batting .313.

Great One, how did you lose 2 guys for the season, 9 week injuries? If so that's really rough. Dev, I think I hung a few of thse ER's on Malette.

I had Geis go down for fourteen on another team. He will be back just in time for next year. Probably did, even my A ball guys could have.

Hey guys, this is my first time checking out RotoGuru. I'm the Mets owner in W2. My team's kinda in limbo right now, we have a respectable record despite being in somewhat of a rebuilding mode. I'll rise to the top of the NL East again very soon.

Tim....they were 14 week injuries. I got a PI on their ass though. If I get pictures of them playing golf or something, they aren't getting paid.

I thought there were no season ending injuries in this game but I guess there can be injuries lasting more weeks than are left in the season.

Wow we simmed early tonight (Tuesday), before 9:30 ET. It's usually about 11:55 ET (8:55 PT for me) before our games are done. Sorry BPG, I know you're rebuilding but my Royal's bats were hot tonight.

I had three guys go down that series. Two were good. The other was a bum named Mallete. The Giants must be jealous of my team. Either that or Mallete was practicing before the game again.
The highlight of my series was when Jim Edmonds my rookie outfielder came in to pitch a shutout ninth and close the blowout (I was killed that game but took the next three).

Tim G, you clocked me pretty good tonight. My team really stinks. I must have the worst pitching staff ever. I've only got one guy who even belongs in the big leagues.
My draft turned out strange - I ended up drafting 15 pitchers. I needed pitchers, but not that many.

We simmed early again, 8:30 ET or sooner, maybe the Commish and staff are watching the series, I can't blame them. Mariners swept me in 4 one run losses, two in 10 innings. I keep messing with my bullpen but whoever comes in gives up a big inning or two.

I am down to the wire. I am only two games up on the Red Sox and we face off in tonights series. That would be a huge turnaround from last season for me.
Next season we need our own thread instead of posting in the Opening in W2 thread. Good luck tonight Tim G. I noticed you have a very close series also.

Thanks Dev, I face the Rangers with a one game lead and I always have trouble with them. Their good pitching always beats my good hitting, tonight I hope it's vice versa. ;) Best of luck to you as well. I agree we do need a real W2 thread next season.

I got swept! I can't believe it, talk about a collapse. Not only that but on my other team I lost game 7 in the playoffs! Not a good night.
