Subject: All Gurupie League? Posted by: Jay-P - [299331420] Tue, Oct 17, 02:47 I know there are a lot of leagues that have a couple of gurupies in them some even as high as 10-12 gurupies, but I am not too sure if there's an entire gurupie league. The leagues that I am in have only a couple owners who are active, and even those who are active, many of them don't really communicate, or talk smack or are truly "active." Well, I asked the commish if I can get 15 others to join me in a new league starting from season 1 and he said it would be all right. So, it's a completely fresh start as well, with no team getting an unfair advantage to begin. I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in joining. | ||||||

hehe - yeah, I think I saw 5 450+AVG guys in our AAA And 8 400+AVG guys ;) Sanfran - I'm pretty sure we're not looking to add anymore hitting (Griffey). Pitching is available for low level prospects. | |||||

Sanfran, noone said it was gonna be fair. If you play to win, well both you and I are up sh_t creek in a brick canoe without a paddle, so I guess we'll just have to try and have fun anyway. hmm...I don't recall saying that Timing...I think I've been HORRIBLY misquoted. I don't see anything mediocre about Bohanon, Norton, or Seaman. And there is certainly nothing old about Seaman and Norton. I also never said to send "great prospects" nor did I say "OUT!". and actually...if you bothered to read the e-mail at all, I said the "great young players" are available for the right price(ie, "unless we get an offer that makes it worth it to us to move them"). If you want them...they will cost you. Here's the e-mail I sent you...maybe your referring to a different e-mail: "We have a pretty good team, with lots of talent...but with J's dumbass Mets in our division...we're screwed. Net result? We're putting everybody on the block except for a select few. Wendell Magee, Derek Feramisco, and Brad Hargreaves are not leaving, unless we get an offer that makes it worth it to us to move them. Don't bother making offers...just let us know if you're interested in any of these players and we'll get back to you. What we're looking for is prospects of all kinds(they have to be good ones, duh) or major leaguers that are young(28 or younger). We're entertaining many offers, so no deals will be made until week 1, though I will keep in very close touch via e-mail to let you know where we stand in trade talks. With all that said, just let me know what you want and I'm here to help(no outrageous requests...I'm not a genie). :)" Maybe there is some sort of miscommunication here. | |||||

The only bad thing about career stats is that they get erased after the palyer retires. J you probably could somehow keep an all-time leaders on the website which would be very cool. Has anyone looked at the Chisox? My gosh that team is a little screwy they have Adkins and Negrette who are both my relievers in another league but in this league their nature position is starting pitcher. With their weak stamina I can only see them pitching 5 innings. Whoever inheriets that team will have some fun. | |||||
