On one of my teams one of my SP is injured but I can still place him in my lineup. Is that usual? Is that the way it always is or is this an error?

My other question is:
If I have him listed as starting a game but he really can't pitch will a guy I have listed at SP but don't play pitch or a random minor leaguer or reliever pitch?

I have never had that happen that I can remember. Thanks for the help.

Its happing to me right now and has in the past. You can still choose him but you cant start him. Just put someone else in the rotation and hope they can keep the team together untill your starter comes back.

Injuries are a little screwy. Some guy I don't even play got injured for 3 weeks.

Players who don't play can still get injured. They can get injured off the field or in practice. It doesn't happen often but it does happen.

well he has a 350 health rating and I'm playing guys everyday that have rating lower than 300 and they've yet to get injured in 4+ seasons. Health rating means NOTHING. Injuries are random.

I agree that the health category doesn't mean much. Most guys I've ever had injured oddly have an injury rating over 300 when injured. However I did just have a guy with a 230 rating lost for three weeks as well. But being realistic, even the healthiest of players can pull a hamstring, hurt himself sliding, etc... I remember one story just this year of a major league baseball player hurting himself while watching sportscenter. He turned his head the wrong way and pinched a nerve. No matter how healthy a guy is, he can still get injured. I never really pay attention to the health stat anymore for the most part for those reasons.

Thanks for answering. I am pretty mad because the injured guy is Jason Shiell and my team is tied for first right now. Now my starters and bullpen get much weaker. I just have to stay close.

I had a 22 year old go down for the rest of the season, and was wondering if his rating points will decline since he's not playing?

Well, for one thing, no player under 30 will decline, even if he doesn't play. Also, a player on the DL will not lose ratings points, no matter what his age is.

Just make sure to put him back into your lineup/rotation as soon as he is healthy if he is 30 or older.
