I must say Whitey that post 23 cracked me up too. Anyway, I was just messing around before with that crime stuff. I get the point about shady deals and all, but for the most part we are powerless to do much about it short of kicking out the offender. I think everything will fix itself after a couple seasons in the merger. However, if Brock does find a ridiculous trade, I think we should mention it to everyone and tell the offender that we know about it and we think it's unfair. That might at least cut down on it a little.

What did you guys do in F3 before when there were trades that you didn't like? I mean this game kind of assumes that the mangers know what they are doing, and won't make stupid trades. but they happen. there is a big difference between stupid trades and cheating trades.

Whitey, you're probably right that it would be tough to monitor every trade given that we've got teams from several different leagues. Personally I certainly don't want to try to monitor all the trades. But apparently some people are noticing some bad trades, and when they do we can try to do something about it. That's all I'm saying. Hopefully by talking about this we'll at least create pressure on people not to do these deals if they were considering giving in to temptation. Most of us want to get along with our fellow owners.

it is too bad that the commish couldn't have started the 30 team leagues before the pay league started. by a couple of seasons or so. just so that it would be all settled when we start paying. oh well i guess.

well you never asked me you just assumed.... Sanfran is for the 49er's which is my faviorte football team, and its been my nick ever since i origonaly had it when small world baseball stated and wayyyyyyyyyy back when guru sent out emails in smallworld baseball, remember that when you had mail, and told everyone to come to his webstie which was at members.tripod. When he finally got the message board thing i had e-mailed him under Sanfran before so i kept it.

You get dumber every day....

I'll explain that one to you Whitey. The Niners were the best team in the 80's and early 90's. If a person starts liking a team just because they are winning that makes them a bandwagon jumper. I'm not saying SanFran is but every single Niner fan that I know is one. It's just like all and I do mean all Chicago Bulls fans. I don't have to explain that one.

Let me explain this to you Brock, if he is still a Niners fan now and has been through the last few $hitty years, does that still make him a bandwagon jumper?? I didn't think so...never side with worm, it can only get you into trouble

The niners have never been bad. They made it to the second round of the playoffs in 98-99. You must have forgotten that. They have some good young players and a Pro Bowl QB and WR. Garner is good too. All of that must have just slipped your mind though.

Brock - The Niners dynasty has been over for years..get clued in. Even SanFran will admit that. If SanFran is still a Niners fan after the mediocre teams of the past few years then he surely is not a bandwagon fan...

Let me chime in here on this bandwagon thing. I don't really think SanFran is bandwagoning. Let me explain. My favorite team is the Bears. Why? Because the first year I ever watched football happened to be 1985. The Bears were awesome and I loved Walter Payton, the Fridge, McMahon etc. I have been a Bears fan ever since. I suspect something similiar happened to SanFran. If you are a little kid watching for the first time, and like the best team I don't think it qualifies. Especially if you stick with them from then on. I should know, the Bears have sucked for the past 10 years.

Great point Sachin...a lot of people start following a team after watching them play in a World Series or Super Bowl when they are really young.

I have been a Raiders fan since they won the Super Bowl in '85 over the Skins and I thought Marcus Allen was the man. You're only a bandwagon fan if you stop following the team if and when they start to encounter some failure

Exactly, it was the first time i rember watching football, and when the niners won the game on that last second drive, it made me a fan and i have been ever since. In fact that is why i played 4 years of high school football, it inspired me that much. I got ragged on big time when the giants killed Montana and i got bashed when young got his many concusions, but if this makes me a bandwagon jumper then so be it.

Whitey and Sachin - you're both right about liking a team when you're young. I won't argue with that. I was never saying that SanFran was a bandwagon jumper. All I was saying is that I know a lot of 49er's fans that were. The 49'ers dynasty ended when Steve Young retired. That was 1999, 2 seasons ago. You remember Steve Young, right? He was QB for them. He has a few Super Bowl and regular season QB records. He was from BYU. He was drafted by Tampa Bay? Do you remember him now? You must have forgotten about him and Jerry Rice if you think the 49'ers dynasty ended a quite a few years back.

I am a Chicago Bear, Bull, and Cub fan. Have been all my life. I personally know Brock, so his calling all Bull fans bandwagon was a personal attack. I have always liked all the Chicago teams. Just because most Bulls fans were bandwagon fans, or more specifically Michael Jordan fans, that doesn't mean that all of us are bandwagon fans, but I will admit, there not many of us Bulls fans left. Where did everyone go, Los Angles?

Wammie - You were exactly one of the ones I was talking about when I referred to bandwagon jumpers and Bulls fans. You haven't mentioned a single word about the Bulls in the past 2 years. You didn't like the Bulls until they won their titles. You are a perfect example.

What do you want me to say about the Bulls the last 2 seasons? that they are the best team in the NBA? They are not. But as an Iowa State Alum, I really like the Bulls now. I like Tim Floyd, even though he is a far better college coach, and I like Marcus Fizer. and don't forget the Mayor is in chicago as well.

I just hope that the Bulls don't become the clippers, a place where top rookies play for a while, and leave when they can. No one wanted to come to chicago this past off season. maybe it is too close to the jordan years, and people would still feel like they would have to fill that teams' shoes. who knows.

go bulls, bears, and cubs.

Blah, blah, blah. Stop trying to cover your ass Wammie. That's the first time you've mentioned something about the Bulls since Jordan left. You're not a fan. Stop trying to lie to these people. I know you're a Scubs and Bears fan but you're far from a Bulls fan. Don't be ashamed. There are millions of people just like you.

Huge trade in P2 today. Both teams are coming into the merger so I wanted to come in here and explain it first.

Yes, I just traded 26 players for two pitchers. I have a deep farm system and lack quality SP's. PP needed the depth. Some people will say I made a horrible trade but I feel I have the depth to cover. Others will say he made a horrible trade giving up 2 solid pitchers.

That's what makes it wonderful, having different opinions.

Timing I think I cleared it up, the other owner never accepted my retraction offer, so I threww everyone from the trade except Negrette off my team and onto the Waiver Wire. I lost like $50 million and if i would have released Negrette I would be crap broke so that is why.
