0 Subject: Post your teams

Posted by: Timing
- [492382621] Sun, Apr 01, 17:06

I'm anxious to get started with the new league so I was figuring some people would be willing to post their team and their top 5/10 tradeable prospects. Just trying to get a feel for what people have and I who I might be able to trade with once we get going.

It's my thread and my rules Treat. I figured you'd love a chance to brag about your team since you're all into that.

It's definitely not my P2 team cause if it were I might have won 6 titles in a row. P2 has very little talent compared to other leagues. I'll post the team I'm bringing in a second.

Most of the hitters with less then a 470 average are still improving. I have some upgrades on my AAA team but didn't want to use up any eligibility before the merge. League Championships start on Tuesday, so it looks like games 5-7 of the WS will be Friday. I wonder if we will get to play those games?

Coyler, Finley, and Weymouth....

Let me know...

Sanfran - It's unlikely I'll want to trade Abreu or McKinley, though I would listen to offers. I do like Weymouth, and to a lesser extent Finley, depending on whether they are still improving. I have lots of great OF prospects I'm willing to trade. I'll post my AAA roster so you can see what's waiting in the wings...

I just cut two 2B prospects who were both maxed out in their 450's. No room on 40-man. I should have hung onto them cuz it looks like we might just merge before season ends.

Lots of old MLB pitching between all our teams. I do have some young pitching prospects but not many 3-4 year stud SP prospects.

San Fran, either one of them catchers look good to me. I got a 1B to trade to you too BPG. Unless I can get a serious upgrade on my MLB team most of my initial trades will be looking for young prospects.

Timing - I thought you were bringing a stacked team to the merger? Are you starting a retirement home? I hope your minor leagues produce some talent for you.

TB - That's about the gayest name I have ever seen.

Both of my teams, especially my N2 team would destroy yours Brock. If I played you 100 times you'd be lucky to win 10. And I do mean very lucky to win 10.

The team I'm bringing isn't as good as N2, but it's much younger and it will still be good enough to kick your ass for months on end.

Hey Brock, now that we'll be in the same league you won't have any lame excuses about dodging my team every season.

Brok - that was hiliourous....

I will trade Scott Downs to show im serious about getting a power hitter with high average and high power locked up.

Weymouth and Finley were both going up at last count. I start a new season tommorrow so ill know who is done.

Also I have my prize Northern leagure in my A roster who i paid 55 mil for..

If I were you Timing, I would bring my P2 team because it looks a lot better than your current team. Half of them won't retire in a couple of years either. Your hitting is good but not great. You pitching is the same. I expect that you have a stacked farm system because your major league team will not be a title contender. I know that mine won't be either but I'm still in the building process. I didn't come from a weak ass league either so I can be proud of my team and what it will accomplish.

Considering I've won about 5 World Series in B3 and the fact that it started out with 16 Gurupies as owners, of which about 6 are in THIS merger, the only thing weak ass is your point of view.

Sanfran - I'd give up McKinley to get Downs. From the looks of the teams posted I may need to upgrade my pitching. What kind of salary is Downs making?

I've got 6 or 7 OF prospects with 4 stars in AVG and HR. If you need power prospects maybe we can work something out for one of those SP prospects.

Okay, maybe it's only a good spades name.....

I am sure I would give up any hitting prospects for a pitcher like Downs. Then again, this league looks like it will be so stacked that it just doesn't matter. I am sure plenty of stud pitchers will have losing records and 4+ ERA's. It looks like many teams will be able to field plenty of 480+ hitters. It will be more of a crap-shoot then ever.

Just because you're a Gurupie doesn't mean you know how to play GSB. My whole point was that your P2 team looks just as good. You have quite a few old players on your current team. I'm guessing you have a stacked farm system though. I guess we'll just see how you do in a couple of weeks.
