What a dilemna. I am rooting for Timing to win for two reasons. One, he is representing the AL West and it's all about respect. Two, it means he has to draft after me.

But, and it's a big but, when he starts talking again he will have some serious long term bragging rights.

Then again, Chiz and I battled it out for a long time back in the day of P2 and I wouldn't mind seeing him win either. Both managers from the old AL in P2.

Good luck to both of you.

I know the commish wants to lessen the amount of money in the league, and this is one way he is doing it, by cutting down on the rev money from the playoffs. it is better that he do it gradually rather than all at once, because if all of a sudden, i was only making 1 mil a week in rev, i would go bankrupt in no time. my team's payrole is set up for the current gsb economy.

I don't think I will be sharing my teams financial state with anyone. For those of you who don't think it is a competitive advantage knowing what everyone else can pay for free agents, you are sadly mistaken.

I will say that my team should never go bankrupt.

TB - I can't believe you aren't rooting for me after all of our P2 battles!! I'm just kidding, but at least you are conflicted about it. Let's see if my lucky streak can continue tonight...I hope everyone from the NL is crossing their fingers for me.

Congrats Timing for making it to the World Series. Congrats to you Chiz for winning it. Both of your teams did well. I look forward to spanking both of you in our regular season series to prove who really should have been there.

;)

ps. I know it must be a bummer, Timing, after spending three days putting together that smack talking speech and not being able to use it. Maybe next year, eh?

Chizz does the impossible and wins the World Series. no one gave the Expos a chance, me included, and he showed us all up.

You got by me once Chizz, enjoy it. It will not happen again.

Congrats to Chizz and the Expos. I still can't believe they won it, but at least the title starts out in the NL. On to the offseason, where there really is not much on the FA market.

I didn't look at minor league free agents yet, but I can guarantee that I won't be bidding on any ML free agents. Slim pickings.

I looked at poll on website and your right Wammie, not many believers. I noticed that my A's got a vote. I voted for San Fran before play-offs started so it wasn't me. Wonder if it was Brock or Timing?

Nawwww.

Who wants to trade me a pitcher? RP or SP, doesn't matter. I just want an upgrade.

Awesome series Wammie. I think my team was just destined to win this year. All of the series came down to the last game, but my overachieving team managed to pull them out. I doubt I'll be back in the WS anytime soon so I better enjoy this offseason while I can. I hope my win gives some of the less dominant teams a reason to stay active and compete in the coming season. What a great inaugural season!!

I agree though, it was a good inaugural season. We just need to get more owners in here making posts.

Hey Zona,

It's obvious you were dumping salary, but would it have killed you to solicit offers for Downs? I sent out several e-mails during the year trolling for a monster SP, and I would have paid a lot more for Downs than San Fran. I think I'm gonna cry...

Yeah, I thought my offer for Everly was solid, but the Phils rejected it with no note and no counter. I hate when teams do that.

I think my favorite e-mail today was from the Twins, stating that they would like to wrap up a deal for their mediocre, 15 million dollar a year pitcher by tonight so we should hurry up and make offers. Sure, I'll get right on that...

I couldn't believe the Phillies guy made the trade. He got a worthless minor leaguer, named Judy, for a stud SP. How can these trades be made? Then I see that SanFran gets Downs and a bad ass OF for a decent SP, a decent OF, and a decent 3b. Am I the only one that can't believe these moves? Are owners dumber than I thought?

Sanfran definitely got the better end of that deal. The SP and OF Arizona got are better than decent, they're both good players, but neither compares to Downs or Redman. Pretty soon sanfran is going to have the best player in the league at every position. At least we know that in the playoffs that doesn't seem to matter much.

Ok, this trade was not a BAD trade. I needed to cut my payroll. Redman and Downs had to go or else i would go broke. I was not really looking for prospects and SF had what i liked. a Very solid SP and a very solid OF. Yes, SF did get the better end of the deal but there was no way i was going to beat him anyways for the division title. Also my payroll was sky high and i had no room to sign players and now i got some room.

And to all of you that do not like the deals, you can "Suck It." None of you could have offered me the players SF offered, so you have no room to say the trade was bad.

Plus i gotta take care of the NL West.

Peace,

You should never want to make any other teams in your division better. I don't understand what you mean by "take care of the NL WEST". Isn't the object to try and beat all other teams in your division?
