Mark Harriger, 35, called it quits today. I thought no one retires that early anymore?????

Anyways, congrats to the D'Backs on the season 2 title!!!

Did anyone else notice that they didn't get any money during the WS??? My balance stayed the same.

yeah, i am glad the sports writers are the ones who decide the season. really, the games aren't even played. peter gammons sits in his office at ESPN, and simulates a season with baseball cards and a pair of dice.

i know brock, and he will throw a stat in your face faster than any one in the world. no one here really can see the humor in brock saying that statistically the cubs are a good staff, but they really aren't. he just has a hard time accepting that the cubs are beating the cardinals.

worm (wherever the hell he is) finally ended his 17 game losing streak to me in a 12-9 Pirates victory tonight.

Congrats worm!

I'm now 21-3 over the last 24 games between the Mets & Pirates.

You forgot to explain to him that when comparing teams or players "a wash" means of equal or equivalent value.

Great draft. I only signed 4 guys for now and that put me three of the roster limits. I am going to track the drafted but unsigned guys' stats and see if they improve even though they are not on my team. I sure hope so. It will save me a few bucks until somebody on my team stops developing and I can cut them. Time to clean house a little bit anyways.

TB - they do not improve if they are not signed. I've tried that one already ;(

So how did you all come out on the draft ?? My first 6 picks all ended up being SP !! Hopefully if even 23 of them make it I will be extremly happy.

If twenty-three of the six guys you drafted make it to the pro's, I am not only sending all my pitchers over to your team for some training but maybe I will start buying that crack from Wammie that you and Worm are smoking.

Well dang J, guess I need to go cut some players. A fun part of this game was developing that 3-3-2 guy, but there is just so much talent that you can't really justify keeping someone with such low stars. Unless you are willing to pay the fines.

I said they were a decent staff, not a good staff. Statistically speaking they appear to be decent but further review shows that they are just another typical Cubs pitching staff. A bunch of washed up players that nobody else wanted, that are off to a hot start but are beginning to fade. They will fade fast too. The Cubs won't be beating anyone. They just started what will be a long losing streak for them. Maybe they'll be able to snap out of it by playing the Brewers in a couple of weeks. They should at least have a chance against them.

if i am not mistaken, the cubs have beat up on the brewers this season, but the brew crew have whiped the sh!t out of the cards.

Widdle, I knew that. Just messing with you.

Brock, if I wanted a little penis and even smaller brains I would indead be jealous of you. I would also practice talking out of my ass and making up stuff that I would call facts.

Lets start a new thread so I can bash on you for a while.

Nice Trade Brock! that will help sure up the central for me. Sachin must be hurting for money to make that trade. I have to think he could have gotten a better deal had he shopped everly around. his last year team was a one year wonder.

but that takes your pay roll pretty high now doesn't brock?

I wouldn't say that my team was a one year wonder. For some reason, they have been underachieving, and it sucks. I really wasn't even going to trade Everly, but Brock made a pretty good offer, and I decided since he was already 33 years old, and damn expensive, I better just cut him loose.

I think I'm at $81 million now. I'm paying $14 million a year to a reliever. He has 1 year left. After I get rid of him, it won't be too bad. Does anybody know what the highest payroll is?

i'd say they are a one year wonder. they havent done sh!t except for that one week when you rolled by wammie. other than that they are playing in a below average division. i compare you to san frans team. average for your division and below average come playoff time.

Worm, remind again where your team is? Oh yeah, I forgot, they are in dead last place.

Anyway, The Central is a pretty good division I would say. The Cubs are good, my Astros are good, and the Brewers are pretty decent too. Your crappy ass Pirates are dragging us down.

How can you say anything about being below average in the playoffs? We've only had 2 playoffs. I made it once, and Wammie made it once. I'm only 4.5 games behind him, and have a decent shot right now. More than I can say for your sorry excuse for a team.

And what fact did you state? Did I not make the playoffs one of the 2 years this league has been around? Am I not still in contention? How is that being a one year wonder?

because i will win the central for the next 5-7 seasons, which will make last year look like what it was, a one year wonder.

Keep dreaming Wammie. No way you win it for the next 5-7 seasons. Maybe a few of those, but you better believe I'll have a few more division titles. As for you Worm, you might want to think about just giving up your team and starting in a draft league or something. It's going to take you at least 5 seasons just to get near .500.

don't worry worm, you haven't been in here in a while, and may not be up to speed, but timer doesn't come to rotoguru any more, and i think he has stopped working on the web page. i am pretty sure PP still does work on the web page, but timer used to do the daily updates.

you are probalby right sachin, was being conservative, i plan on winning 10 or so in a row, but i didn't want to hurt your feelings. i think we can both agree though, that worm will never have a chance at the central.

what about f3? i was in a division with someone who owned multiple teams and was getting ml talent as well as prospects everyseason. i was spending all my time on my p2 team cause that league was fun. so what about f3 sachin? i finished 20 games over .500 every season i was in it. so tell me if i am a bad owner how bad was that league?
thanks

The NL Central is not up to par as a whole. Wammie, after Tucker you don't have too much on your whole team. Worm appears to be on that one guy from P2's path. He's building up prospects and might be able to contend one day. I'm guessing the Brewers will win the majority of NL Central titles for the next few years.

I'm just saying, you never won any World Series in F3, and it was a "very weak" league. If you couldn't even win one there, what does that say about your managerial qualities. Don't give me that crap about San Fran owning 2 teams. You know it's not true.

worm, the team that you took to the ws was the worst team to ever go to a ws in gsb history. no one in p2 has any clue how the hell that ever happened. my only guess is that the commish figured you would quit if you didn't get to the playoffs, and he is a money hungry whore, and made your team win.

Oh wait he is sitting in your aaa roting away, kinda like you at the bottom of your divison. No worm team has ever finished ahead of me in GSB, and none ever will.

I'm still updating the website daily. JPI and standings are always up to date. Nobody chose to do a draft report so there is none posted. Rarely do any managers report game records so that is not updated frequently. If yall want a kick ass website then we'll need to have some contributions to it. I'll be glad to post whatever articles/stats/contributions yall want to provide for the site.

I finished my first version of the voting for all stars/awards.You have to download 2 things: the database and the application. go here to get it:
web page.

This will hopefully make it easier to vote and i hope more people get involved. There is a sorting feature and a bunch of other little things. THe data on it right nnow is from season 2 and season 3 will be on the web when the regular season is done. Hope you guy like this.
