Just wanted to let everyone know I won my first World Series today. Of course, I now have a co-manager (The Great One) and he did much more work than I did, but the foundations of the team, especially the hitting, are mine.
Incidentally, Keith Glauber, my first round pick 15 years ago, was on the DL for the postseason but still gets a series share. Jeff Harris, who joined the rotation at age 20 thirteen years ago, started a game in the World Series (and lost). Those are the last remaining "originals" but that's mostly due to efforts to get younger.
Incidentally, I've won 14 division titles in 15 seasons, but couldn't get past Commish's Indians team in O2 and various opponents in League A. Until now... |

Grats Blue Hen. You finally did something right!! Me, I'm 0-3 in world series thus far in the pay leagues. My old O2 Cards are trying to stop Koontz's 5 straight WS run this year and have a decent enough chance IMHO.

I hope Brock and Wammie weren't affected in any way by the terrorist acts yesterday..I know they both are from the Boston area and may have know somebody on those flights..
I am still waiting and hoping I don't hear about the passing of any of my friends or family (I know a lot of people that work in the area of the WTC).
On a GSB note, when I decide I have had enough of GSB my team finally decides to start the season on a good note. Too bad I can't make any managerial moves whatsoever since I am not subscribed..
The one thing I will miss about GSB is the commaraderie among the owners (yeah, I'll even miss you Wammie)

many of whom are jewish. they said that in no way were they offended by me going by this name so if you are i am sorry for that. you cannot go through life meeting up to everyones standards.

back home there is this guy who hasnt talked to me for six years. (the reason for this is i had an affair with his girlfriend)
i saw him sunday and the first words he muttered to me were "hey jue you want a beer?"
i am using this name in honor of him speaking to me again. i changed the spelling does this make it better whitey?
which by the way is a racist name.
we've gone through this before and i dont want to deal with it again.

P.S. the handle Whitey (which I have been using for over 3 years now) is based on a couple things:
I am a big Yankee fan and Whitey Ford was one of the greatest Yankee pitchers ever, Everlast came out with an album a couple years ago called "Whitey Ford Sings the Blues" and finally, to a lesser extent, one of the funniest lines from my favorite movie is:
"Hey Whitey, where's your hat???"

okay first off, he is not my buddy nor friend.
i have had this nickname ever since my sophomore year in high school. i dont know why they call me this but they do.
here is a bit of information whitey. dont always try and be politacally correct. dont always act like you are looking out for the little man. just go on and do your business in NJ.
you use the name "whitey" in honor of whitey ford and i use "jue" for whatever reasons. the name worm is also used in a movie portraying a pot smoker. so what can i do?
