nicely done J. I think it is obvious that my team will be sucking it up again this year...
in the NL Central, Worm's rebuilding process looks to be basically complete. Brock has a solid team, that should give Cinncy a run for his money in the Central, but i still give the nod to the reds who are hungry and ready to go

This is a flash from the past. With GSB dragging so much lately, I kept checking in here to see if anyone started using this forum again.
I would love to see an update now that the sim has called up players to fill the inactive teams.
BPG looks like he has a solid team. I haven't looked at Brock's team but it is rated pretty high.
I always bring up extra guys I don't use (8 rp's) because my minors are usually overloaded and 12.5K is cheaper then 50K a week.
I really need to sell off a couple guys. Would love to get rid of Titus. Any takers?

I always check in here too. I like this message board better than the gsb boards anyway.
I have a couple 498 average hitters in AAA that i could possibly be persuaded into trading if the price was right.

Cool stats J. My bullpen stats look pretty weak because of Eddie Oropesa (1584 T) who for some abnormal reason always seems to get the job done. He's only a backup. I also have Carl Cermak (1540 T) who TB and I were talking about on the GSB board. Take them out and my pen is probably alot higher.
Pittsburgh does look alot better this year, a shame worm left so Brock could call up all the prospects worm drafted and take credit for the team. ;)
TB, I'd take Titus off your hands but you'd have to give me an aditional incentive.
Wammie, E-mail sent. I too prefer these boards, but I guess we gotta post where the people are.

I take credit for nothing unless I deserve it. I drafted 80% of the prospects that Worm had. He was too busy or didn’t have access to a computer to do it himself. I also signed all the FA’s this year so it’s basically my team. The League E championship will be mine for many years to come.

I know Matt's been gone for 6 months, but did you catch the AVERAGE AGE of Minn pitchers...37.5. How does Minn keep signing these guys....maybe they have 15 yr no cut contracts :>)

LOL.
Matt has only been gone for two months. I remember when I first saw his team and thought they looked good. All the hitters were 488-490 types, but no power. You can't even sell those guys for 2 million these days.
The era of power.
Jack, who are you? Some people say I don't know Jack. In this case, I would have to agree.

When I first joined the league I traded two of my old SP's to Matt for an SP prospect and a 1st round draft choice. He already had old pitchers and he got even older with the trade. He then signed the 33 and 34 year old to 5 year deals. Maybe he didn't know about decreasing stats with age?

Matt was a dumb ass. he constantly drafted pitchers with sub 300 fastball in the first round, and was happy to do it. he told me one time that he had his best ever draft. he had signed like 3 sps with his first 3 picks that were 11 or 12 stars, but all of their fastballs were under 300. needless to say, i made a couple trades with him after that.

i didn't get screwed by the double sim, it was a good thing for my team. prospects developed a little quicker, got a little more money. it should double sim every day for my team.

Can we find out who it is and have them kicked off Guru's boards? I think that it is against Guru's board rules to deliberately use someone else's handle and post as an imposter...

i dont like people trashing my friends as whitney does.
he used that same line with brock and now with wammie and (J) i only wished he was in the building so i could tell it to his face. what is wrong with that? nothing.
so whitney when you get off your rag you can think rationally then you can come appologize to wammie, brock and myself.

They have 900 numbers to satisfy the crave for attention that you so desperately seek Worm.
Perhaps if you saved some of that $5.50 an hour that you make bagging groceries you could call one of those professionals. I know Brock and Wammie should be tired of disguising their voices for you.
Then again, you are all from Iowa so pretending to be a woman or farm animal comes second nature to you three.

Look who's talking TB. I hear you won the state inbreeder of the year award in your "great" state of Missouri. Keep to your own kind and leave the rest of us out of yours and Whitey's sticky breakup. I'm sure he's gotten over you by now. About the only question any of us are wondering is whether or not Whitey is your brother or cousin?

The coveted State Inbreeder Award is only awarded in the state of Iowa. I know you are bitter about losing out in the finals the last three years but at least your pal/sister/mom Worm was the winner.
Don't be trying to steal my old material. I have been busting on you corn-fed, overall wearing, moose humping, taking your sister to the prom inbreds for a long time now.
I-O-W-A
Just saying it out loud makes me feel like I am talking about a special education course.

I'm stealing your stuff?!?!? Ha!!! I first made fun of you with all the inbreeding stuff. Your the one from Missouri, not me. You might have got the first corn joke in but who really cares? Timing came up with the moose humping stuff so don't try to take credit there either you leach. You are the biggest wannabe I've ever seen.
