0 Subject: Lg4: It's NTT time!

Thought I'd get a thread going about the tourney. Looks like we have the following Gurupies in the NTT:

blue hen - Terre Haute, #2 NW bracket
The Beezer - Paducah, #3 SE bracket
beastiemiked - Providence, #7 SE bracket
JKaye - Abilene, #11 NW bracket
G Dogg - Gainesville, #11 SW bracket

Paducah comes off an OT loss in the C18 finals that cost them a #1 seed in the tourney. Even so, I like our draw for the first 2 rounds. You can never take an NTT opponent lightly, but having said that i think we should be able to handle Norman in the first round. We're well-rested and start 3 seniors, while Norman has been logging 30+ minutes from its starters, 3 of which are freshmen. They'll be scary in 2 years, but I like our chances Monday.

There aren't really any dominant teams in this tourney from my view, so I think if we can stay alive, we have as good a chance as anyone. Looking at the draws, I'd say we have a decent chance of going 5-0 in the first round. Good luck!

Hey you forgot me. I'm a #1 seed in the DTT tournament! I think I'm set up for a strong finish, and a record above .500

J is a #4 seed in the DTT.

yeah, I get the pleasure of taking Twarpy out behind the woodshed and handing him his 12th consecutive loss. Poor guy.

Polack, I'll see you in the finals!

WTF, I got screwed. I get to face Indianapolis in the first round despite getting a 7 seed? Crappy seeding committee. I'd much rather face the #2 seed in our bracket(Huntsville).

I've beaten some real good teams this year but did have four losses (all in-conference). I'm not sure that this year's TH team is as good as last years' (although Madison has been good since I put him at PG 4 games ago).

I'm really going to miss this class. Raley, Durbin, and Board (14-10, 8-16, 17-7, 14-4) have been great, with 6 all conference selections, a conf FOY, and a conf POY among them. They weren't ranked by either magazine, but I think they are the best class I have ever recruited.

I'm in VERY good shape for next season.

1. All alone on a 6'10 E rebounder. From Conference 4, which boasts 3 gurupies.

2. Tied 1/1 on an out of conference Raley replacement. 6'6 E shot, the other attributes appear better than Raley in my eyes.

3. Tied 3/3 on a 7'2 monster with E def and E ath, in conference. He's my "Durbin replacement" although I think Durbin played better than his attributes.

4. Tied 1/3 (not maxed but I'm maxing him) on an out of conf 7 footer with decent but not spectacular attributes.

If I get 3 of the four (not that unlikely), I'll be in good shape for a while.

Very disappointing year for me, although, to tell you the truth, not too sure how good my team is. Got up to a 9 ranking when my center got hurt and has since missed 5 games. Never really recovered and lost games I think I should have won but, again, makes me wonder how good my team really was. Have a 7 seed in the PTT; looks like I will use it to make some changes looking towards next year.

As screwed up as I did my recruiting I suppose it could be a lot worse. Behind on all studs, but still got ahead on a +6 (reb-E) power forward-in conference- and a +4 point guard-out of conference- (4 G's-57 exam). Tied for the time being on a +7 shooting guard-out of conference- that I suspect I will be behind on before the week is out.

Think I will be in good shape with just the two leads, hoping the computer doesn't screw me with the last pick. Good nucleus coming back, chomping at the bit for the new year.

Good luck to those in the NTT.

I beat the the 16th seed (#255) 77-67 last night. It's time to play the 8th seed (#215). DTT championship here I come.

How'd everyone else do?

I snuck into the RTT as a #16 seed by winning my last game of the conference tourney, and only lost by 5 points to the #1 seed (#117).

I know I'm not here much but I'm in LG 4 as well. I just picked up the durham maniacs of Conf 10. I didn't have that good of a year, it took me a while to plan where i wanted to put every one. Right now I'm 12-9 I'm an 11th seed in the PTT and I'm in the great 8 I'm making a run. Not to mention I got the Player of the Year in 6'8" forard Tandre Maupin... I know that really has nothing to do with me but oh well, watch out for me next year, I lose 2 starters but i keep my 3 best role players one which is a 2nd teamer All Conf.

JKaye beat me in OT. I still think I have a better team, but credit where it's due. Nice job.

Flip Raley earned his 2nd Conf 19 POY selection, and Durbin and Nugent joined him on the first team. No All Americans.

Recruiting is great. I have leads on 7'0 and 6'10 guys, a 1/1 tie on a Raley replacement (but better) and 3/3 on an in-conf 7'2 stud. I wish I could trade at least one of those situations to Dover in lg 5.

Wow, Paducah's in the Elite 8 somehow. No all-conference members, highest scorer averages 12.4 PPG, but we keep finding ways to win. Congrats to Flying Polack and J for making the Elite 8 in their tourneys as well. We'll need a huge effort to beat Stillwater, but we've got a shot.

Hey Beezer, congrats on the eltie 8 berth.

i was forced to give up my Knoxville team mid season, since i didn't have for so many teams. so we won't be going at it any more.

good luck this week!

SO, hate to see you leave lg4, as I always looked forward to our games. Best of luck with your remaining teams.

hey, who wants a piece of my losers next year in the pre-season? I've got games against Twarp and Polack, I just need a 3rd victim. After the recruits I'm gonna be landing, I should be winning this thing within a season or two. So, take your shots while you can, who wants in????

For being a #16 seed, I suppose I've done respectably. After losing my first two games to #1 and #8 seeds, I've beaten a #4 seed and a #10 seed.

And on a related note, my brother is in the final four of the RTT with his team Battle Creek.

I'm looking to schedule a couple more Exhibition and Regular Season games.

I'm 11-13 in the DTT this year. My team should be better next year, depending on the outcome of a couple in-conference recruiting ties.

My team # is 211 if you're interested.

OK by me for an ex, FP...Long Beach Canyons are #243. PTT this year. Made the NTT 4 straight times, but this year ran into a buzzsaw (Roswell Bipeds, 23-0, in NTT final.)

Let me know what you guys think. I am leading on a 6-7 small forward that I plan on playing at power forward. I put a priority point on him cause I'm concerned that, if I don't, the computer may give me a higher rated small forward, which I do not need. This guy is a good rebounder.

What do you guys think? Should I keep the priority point or delete it. Thanks!

If anyone needs a team for Exhibition or REgular season play, put me in.

I'm 14-9 in the PTT Finals this year #53 PR
I return 3 Senior Starters Next year and have an ok Recruiting class coming in.

Conf 10

I'd also be up for any exhibition games.

Team #46
Camden Rattlers
Conf. 6
173 PR

I made the RTT as a #16 seed, but have won 3 straight games after losing the first 2 (only to draw a matchup with an in-conference team - it will be the 4th time we've played this season). I'm also in the 3rd hardest conference in the league, and I am only graduating one starter.
