It is, by far, the coolest game that Bernie has ever done. And for those of you in Rotoguru I, are you interested in creating a division for old time's sake?

Interesting to see some of the team choices. The 1980 Royals get you the .390-hitting, percentage-triple-crown-winning George Brett, and the 79-SB Willie Wilson, but I think I'd have preferred the '85 Royals. You still get a great Brett (of course), and you add an awesome Saberhagen, a very good Charlie Leibrandt, a better Quisenberry, Bye-Bye Balboni, a pair of 40-steal guys in Lonnie Smith and Wilson. And Buddy Biancalana. Oh, and Daryl Motley.

James:

Such debates will go on forever, and we're happy to have them. In the end, we made some very, very tough choices with certain franchises. And in the future, it's possible that we may add more teams.

Just to be clear, I'm not complaining :)

I agree with you, the debates about stuff like that are a big part of why I love baseball so much. And I'm sure it was tought to narrow things down to a single representative team for some franchises. I happened to single out the Royals because I was growing up near Kansas City for that decade, and have long been a fan.
