Anyone doing any last-minute end-of-year breeding? I bought a $1 horse at auction and will be breeding a cheapie for the Michigan Sires Stakes. I'll only have slots available for other breedings if some of my horses were claimed today and I picked up the $2000 types I put in claims for in later races. But if anyone sees any Storm Cat types hanging around with 2-year-olds open in these last hours, by all means let me know, after you've had your fill :)

Storm Cat was available on Thursday for around 350 IIRC. I don't have enough BP's for that so had to pass. I screwed up big time this week. Had lots of horses sharp, but didn't enter any of them until THursday night, IIRC. Not sure what I was thinking. Guess I was thinking about breeding. Just as well I guess. I was going to run a bunch of 2 yo's on 3 weeks rest to get the last race in. Now they will be more rested anyway. No last minute breeding for me as I already bred 2 a few weeks ago.

Well, it was Christmas week. I got my entries in -- barely. The last 2 I had to do on my sister's computer on Christmas day -- with my other sister saying, ""C'mon, Alan, we have guests here!" -- i.e., don't be on the computer.

For the 1st time I made no jockey selctions. I still went 2-for-10, but in some races I can see that a bad jock hurt my horse.

Oh that someone would give me Execl 2000 (or 1997) and stats skills for Christmas some year!) I think the "leading edge" for research is into jockey skills, but that will take a smart man and a big spreadsheet. A smart. courageous, research-sharing-man...maybe from Arkansas or some such place.

Happy New Year!

Just decided to browse the Horse world at SimSports. That "view the race" thing is cute. Don't see it being used a lot, but it is cute.

RSF -- everybody views the race. There are fancier race viewers designed by people outside the sim (and made available by them for free) and many (intelligent, busy) people wait for what is called the "raceout.zip" to watch the thing on even fancier viewers.

Come join our sim! With the new credit rules in SSB, it is a lot better and more fun. [I will be dropping out of SSB cuz of the new rules in the next few months.] You can have one of the most knowledgeable people in the sim -- Madman -- help you pick your horses!

I would be happy to turn over the devil01 stable to you RFS. It has the Iron Horse Championship winner and a very good 2yo (3 now) horse. I inherited the stable, but really have only run Sixth Deputy and my 2yo homebred. Let me know if you want it. It would be a nice start as it has some breeding points too. My other 4 stables keep me busy enough.
