Congrats to AG for pulling in a #2/#3 class. I had some points on Recktenwald, how'd he turn out? If I had to guess it'd be EFEPFG. Ogle looks very nice too.

My class came in at #6/#14. This is the 5th season in a row I've had a top 10 class. I'm really not sure they deserve the ranking though. There are certainly no stars involved, but all should be solid.

Rance Gold, 6'4" GFEFGG: His shooting came in better than expected, but I was hoping 1.5 steals would turn into a G in defense. I won a 3/3 tie for him, that due to preferences, was probably more like a 1/1. He'll probably be at bPG this season.

Harvey Mumford, 6'6" GGGFFG: I won a 2/2 tie for Harvey, that was more like a 1/1. He should be a solid contributor at SG and SF in the future, but could be looking at NA this season.

Marty Whitworth, 6'4" GFFFFF: Marty was a clear lead who was scouted at -2. I really thought he'd come in at +3 at least, as his numbers are very similar to Mumford's. I wouldn't be suprised to see his att's bump up as his career progresses.

Like I said before, these guys aren't stars. But, they should be solid starters later in their career.

Anyone up for some scrimmages?

Wow, I got some VERY surprising results in my recruiting this time. When I checked the recruit signings, I was pretty disappointed. I didn't get Glendon Masden (a longshot at 9/9 who ended up signing with one of my Conf. 4 rivals) or my other max, Enrique Santos. It's 3 seasons in a row now where I haven't won a single tiebreaker! In fact, there's only one player on this whole squad that was a maxed recruit.

Then, I checked the recruiting class rankings. I thought I was seeing things. I see these 3 backup guys near the top of the list! They were actually ranked at #2/#4! I couldn't believe it...still can't believe it! Sure enough, they were rated higher than I had expected.

William Recktenwald 6'0 came in at a +5 (EGGFFG) and could start as our PG. I prefer the traditional PG types, but this guy can really score. He shot over 54% in his senior yr of HS and 50% from 3 pt range.

Monty Ogle 6'6 was a +6 (GFEGGG). He had an Assist/TO ratio over over 3:1. It looks like he might be a bit too tall for the PG spot. I might experiment with him a bit

Last, but not least, Adam Pfeiffer 6'7 (FFFGGF) comes in at a +2 and should be a nice rebounder off the bench.

A +13 class, I'll take it!

Congrats to you too Jeff. 5 top 10 classes in a row, that's amazing!

I will miss my graduating class (+16) though, who were rated as a top class themselves (#1/#3 I think). Wes Parker, 6'10 was on the All-League first team averaging over 19 pts and 9 reb per game. He averaged about 16/9 over his career and was a great shot blocker too. Easily one of the best players I've ever had in this game. I was hoping to find a talented big man to replace him, maybe next year. He was selected #3 in the SimBA draft. Why the Bulls passed up on this guy, I don't know.

PG Marion Weldon wasn't too bad either avging 5.6 assists over his career with a 5:1 assist/turnover ratio.

Then there's 6'11 Raheem Kerr. Not much to say about him really. He couldn't shoot the ball well. He couldn't dribble. He couldn't pass either. He was just a big guy with some decent rebounding skills. I will really miss his size though, since this current freshman class is significantly smaller. Hopefully, I can get a big man next season and work my way back into the NTT...it's been quite a while.

Not too bad a class. One walk on but I won the tie on Gossett who's a major player. Enough to keep the Posse another year:)

Any of you guys ever start a 6'4" small forward and consistently win?

Tucson recruiting sucks again. Thanks alot J and AG!

VID, the year I won the NTT with Tucson I had a 6'4" SF and his backup was the same height.

I started a 6'4" SF last season (my current SG), and the bSF was 6'5". We went 21-3. Unfortunately, we didn't win the NTT. Maybe this season though.

I'd be up for a scrimmage too, but I lost the PTT so I don't have any credits. All because of balls...who beat me tonight.

Ogle sure didn't make much of a debut. I let him start and he gives me a 2-13 shooting night.

J, I hope you don't expect a rematch from me. If I win I'll send you a rematch but if I lose(which I'm 99.99999999% sure I will) I'm not gonna set myself up for another butt whoopin. I'll be lucky to make the NTT this year.

Very entertaining game AG. My defense isn't bad, so you should be impressed with your 100 points.

I'm still looking for a couple home-home scrimmages to run tomorrow night. I'll try and check in later on tonight, but if I don't I'll be online first thing tomorrow morning.

Hey Guys,

San Diego will be maxing

Ramsey (27) 6'10"
Roman (32) 6'9"
Hoagland (11) 6'5"
Buckman (8) 6-5

My two recruiting classes have been in the 50's. This is my first year as a large, but I had to do my recruiting in a hurry. If anyone wants a scrimmage, my ID is sedick.

Later...

My maxes are:

6'11" Marty Knight (8)
6'9" Phil Gaskins (27)
6'9" Nat Costello (27)
6'10" Hans Ramsey (27)

Sorry Soctt, but I can't pass up a 6'10" guy with E+ local and E+ win. Anyway, good luck to everyone tonight.

I just noticed why Albany's been winning its games lately. We have 102 free throw attempts while our opponents only have 29!

And they say cheaters don't prosper...hah yeah right!

LOL, my Frosh Starting SF, Zeke Simms, played 16 minutes tonight. In that 16 minutes, he scored 26 points, attempted 16 FGs and 3 FTs. Wow, would have been nice to see what he would have done for 30-35 minutes. Surprisingly he only had 4 fouls.

My maxes came in as follows:

Knight 8/8 (more like a 5/5)
Costello 5/5 (more like a 3/3)
Ramsey 3/3 (I am clearly the favorite according to prefs)
Gaskins 1/1

I was hoping Gaskins snuck in clear. After a recruiting blunder, I barely have enough points to max 5 the rest of the way. I'm within 2 or less on 4 guys, but none of them are spectacular (and probably would never be starters). So anyway, it looks as if I'll have to win some ties again this year. Hope the W3 turned out well for everyone else.

Markham 1/1

I was checking out which of my 1pointers were being recruited by computer coached and I noticed we have a hell of a lot less computer coaches this season. Down from 50 to 21!!!

I have over 140RPs banked so this is gonna be fun. (I dropped one of my maxes early on)

Wow, 6'11" Montgomery Adamson (averaging 23 PPG and 9 RPG) is a clear lead. I'm really pleased with that.

Garber 3/3
Marks 7/7 (I think I'll stay on him)

And I also have 4 uncontested players who seem to be great scorers.

balls - there's a thread on the L4 board asking if you wanna play in a regular season tourney with me, Money, and Puckfan. The other two guys are in, just wanted to know if you're interested.

I'm trying to get over my first loss of the season (by 1 point, to a mediocre team in my conf.). My team is great defensively, but we are very susceptible to 3's. I have no idea why. A sharp shooting 3 point team (aka Macon) can definitely put us out of the tourney. Anyway, my recruiting's still looking the same.

Knight - 8/8
Costello - 5/5
Ramsey - 3/3
Gaskins - 1/1

Knight is a badass, and Ramsey isn't too far behind. The others are decent. Costello could be a starter later in his career. I've also got a 0/1 lead on Woody Ware from reg. 1. He's 6'8", averaging 20 and 1.3 steals at SF (2.4 to's though). I am pretty confident I'll win the Ramsey tie. If I can also pull in Gaskins; he, Ramsey, and Ware would make another top 10 class I believe. Good luck to everyone as we finish up the regular season.

Congrats on winning the league last year, I thought I had it in me, but not quite! I did like the fact that we swept the post season awards, and I finally got a conference player of the year.
