yeah, I'll take scrimmages. My team has faded fast, I got 0 of my 4 maxes and I guess I need to serious alter my recruiting technique. It just hasn't been fun for me lately.

Losing ties is no fun. It sure does drag the game down. Just gotta ride it out, I guess.

Thanks guys. I thought about mentioning something before my game on Friday but I didn't want to jinx my team. It's always fun to bring home a title for the gurupies.

Crap....Crap! Crap!
In my haste this morning (getting rushed out of the house to celebrate my 9th Wedding Anniversay,of all things!), I maxed:
Purvis McNamara (20) Manuel Randolph (21) Val Easterling (22)
Now I come back and see the kind soul who has forwarded me the Large list two seasons in a row is on Easterling too. Perhaps the best thing for me to do is drop him. I think only three of my backups are on the most recruited list.

RSF, you are more than welcome to stay on the Easterling tie. I don't mind man. I wasn't expecting him to be a clear lead.

Does anyone need the services of a 6-8 SF with an average of 19 pts, 4. rebounds, 1.5 to's? He doesn't really have any defensive numbers to speak of. I've got the lead on him at just 14 points but I've got no use for him.
Leave your email addy and I'll shoot the info to you.

If absolutely no one else has a need for him, I'll go get him. I never liked defense :)
But I've already got 2 clear leads, so if someone else is in danger of a walkon, I'll leave him for them. But I could use the size.

The Atlanta Titanium Screws rollup against the Glendale Smokies in Round Two of the NTT.
The Screws are difinitely playing better than I expected, although Simeon First should crack the First Team All League with the season he has put up. I didn't expect good results until next season with my Frosh and Sophe classes being strong.
Good Luck jeff1137!
Good to see Branson and Albany move on (mach's Albany squad beat J, unfortunately.) Bummer that Tucson is also out.

I did my best to pull the upset, but fell 76-74 in a great game! I had two chances to tie it up at the end and missed two short shots, including one by my previous mentioned Simeon First. I lead after one and at the half, but jeff took the third with the lead changing several times in the fourth.
Great Great game! Congrats and good luck!

What has happened to the Gainesville DoggyDoggs? Somebody should shoot that guy. He was handed the keys to a dynasty and destroyed it.
How embarrassing.

Law school is going pretty well. I am starting my final year, and am now getting a little nervous. I still need to find a job for next year, which really sucks. I can't tell if I am just really bad at interviewing or if the job market is still really tight. Regardless, no firms have offered me yet.
How's it going?

Well, I had the feeling, but didn't want to jinx it. Simeon First was named League 4 Player of the year. A first for me. He started the season with 2 or 3 20/10s, so I knew he was in for a good season. After being named CPOY his soph season, he was injury prone his junior year and averaged a very disappointing 10.8 ppg /7.0 rpg. Wish I could have surrounded him with a better Jr class...they sucked (except ballhog Simms), coming in at over 200 in each poll, IIRC.
Nice to see mach get a Jr in on the All League First Team (PG Monty Ogle).
NTT wise, looks like Branson is our only hope.
Good luck all in recruiting!

Ouch, my recruits were 2/2 1/1 1/1 and I didn't win any of those ties. It's going to be rough for Providence the next couple of seasons. I hope everyone elses recruits turned out nothing like mine.

I signed a 1/1 and signed 2 clear leads. Nothing special with that class.

I got a 5/5 (14 boards/3 blocks in first game...nice). Lost a 0/1 lead??? Got a 0/0 (28 RPE) and got a walk-on. This was a strange recruiting class.
Lost some 1/1s and 2/2s.

I won a 5/5 tie(great shotblocker/rebounder-type), and got my 0/1 guy. The 0/1 guy sucks though, EXC Int, nothing else, and the one walkon was even worse then him.
