OVERALL HORSE RANKINGS

1.(1) Light Jupiter (4-2-1-0, $74.21K). Barely holds onto top spot. Needs another solid showing in next outing to keep the spot.
2.(6) Miss's Butcher(gb) (6-3-0-2, $39.7K). A tremendous 100.5 speed dirt-sprint A2x win puts this horse neck and neck with LJ. Still untried on turf. Really, there is no way to distinguish between LJ and MB here. Both have won at the A2x sprint level. Both have almost identical speed ratings. I'm making this call on earnings and that ties go to the horse previously ranked.
3.(2) Pepi Dan (5-0-1-3, $7K). 101.6 dirt-sprint speed.
4.(3) Sixth Deputy (2-1-1-0, 13.7K). Holding onto top MAD rating.
5.(NR) Pricey Courage (4-3-0-1, 39K). Cruised to 3rd consecutive win -- a Gurupie record. Has nice niche in turf distance races, and should be the first Gurupie horse to get a NW3x allowance win.
6. (4) Skin Jumping (2-2-0-0, $9K). Pushed down just because of two great fletchfarm runs. Also, has a very tough race coming up next week. Still has #2 raw speed rating.
7. (5) Clam Carnival (4-2-0-0, $42K). Only Gurupie Stakes winner, and #2 overall earner.
8. (9) Utterly the Kelly (5-3-0-0, $27K). Just picked up A2x win, showing some versatility. But the race was relatively slow.
9. (7) Rakida's Plug (5-1-2-1, $40K). Solid placer, #3 in money.
10. (8) Kangaroo Minstrel (4-2-1-1, $35.9K). Solid earner, solid turf runner.

GURUPIE DRAFT HORSES

1. Miss's Butchers(gb). (#2)
2. Sixth Deputy. (#4).
3. Pricey Courage. (#5).
4. Utterly the Kelly. (#8).
5. Rakida's Plug. (#9).
6. Kangaroo Minstrel. (#10).
7. Private Count. (4-2-1-0, $22.2K). Just snagged A2L win, for win #2 in a row. Upper 80's may not make it at the next level, however.
8. Napkin Kicking (3-1-1-0, $14.5K). Solid 96 speed rating.
9. Bee Stacking (1-1-0-0, $12K). Might climb these rankings fast after a very impressive debut.
10. Stock Geri (3-1-0-0, $7.7K). Needs to get back to 96 speed MSW win.

NR (no order): Agriculture Bomber (struggling lately -- stuck at 88 MAD), Chief Tom (needs to show he can compete at Alw level), Zinc Dad (no better than 5th at A2x so far), Country Jodie (just barely 90+ MAD), Pepi Undercut (struggling), Light Award (needs to break 85+ Sp), Yankee Alphabet.

Note: I didn't bother to record the change in ranking, because the last ranking didn't have Fletch's 7 stables, or Sixth Deputy.

Draft Horses to watch next week: Sal at the Bell -- Miswaki x Damascus will make his debut for Madman4.

Feel free to post your opinions and/or alternate rankings. It's very hard to actually keep track of all these horses.

Great job, Madman. April Fireworks--Wild AgainxAlydarxCrimson Stan debuts for jkaye1--although he certainly won't be as good as Sal at the Bell.

Thanks for the heads-up, JK. Actually, I wouldn't write off April Fireworks quite yet. Wild Again is a top-tier sire in the sim. Alydar and Crimson Satan are both quality, as well. Thus, your horse could be a real runner. Which is better (Sal at the Bell vs. AF), will depend largely on luck, IMO.

In general, I'm a bit worried that the only endurance influence at all in AF's lineage comes from Alydar, which isn't a lot. But you could have a tremendous 5.5f sprinter there. Or a bit longer if you are lucky.

Whereas SATB should be best at anything from 7+.
