I haven't had much of a chance to spend time on HR this week, but I did just notice he is sharp this week. We have 7 hours. I'll be gone for the next several hours, but will be back before the deadline. I haven't really looked at races, so if anyone has ideas post them here. If not, I'll do it last minute, along with my other stables in the late afternoon.

I looked quickly and 0813 looks solid. No horse has run a 98 in the field, and it is a 8.5 turf race, and I think we should try him on turf. All suggestions welcome. Catch you all later today.

Sorry one more post--his CPU value is 650K which rules out the 550 and 630 rest. alw. races.

JKaye -- you have to have at least 5 runs to qualify for CPU races. I'll check the cards here. . .

I might go for 6901 myself. Test Sharp Deputy in a sprint when he's sharp. Plus, BC occasionally has turf races. Going all the way to MD is an option, but the travel costs are large.

Up to you. 6901 is good for his record-padding, 0813 is good for experimentation. But there is a difference between 8.5 and 8.0f, too.

My thought with 0813 is to try to extend his speed and test him on turf. IMO, experimentation is more important than record-padding at this time. But you are far better at this sim than I, Madman, so I take your advice with high regards. I'll wait for any other opinions, and then make the final call in a couple of hours.

JKaye -- yeah, you're right about the experimentation. But I normally like to have an exact D-T comparison.

BC actually has turf tracks with some regularity. The question is how we're going to get out of the Northwest. . . Or if we want to.

Well, being that Sixth Deputy is the only active horse in the stable, travel costs really aren't a concern.

True. But in case you/we ever want to use the stable for something else, it would be nice to accumulate breed points / $$$$.

Any chance you can enter some glue down in New Mexico (Track 14 -- I think that's NM)?

Because if you do, Gaz has offered us a really solid dirt-miler called St. Prospector in race 1414.

That would give Devil01 two runners. Time's about up, however.

Went with 6901 for Sixth Deputy.

Placed the other 3 horses in devil01 in New Mex races. Hopefully at least one gets in.

Cool. Hopefully at least one does get in. We do still have to place the claim for the horse, but he's a solid runner, so it would be cool to snag him.

Sixth Deputy is a 5/2 cofavorite in the 6f race in BC. We shall see if he can sprint, eh?

I'd recommend putting a claim in for St. Prospector, even though devil01 didn't get any horses there. You still have the early stable bonus.
