Hey everyone. Stats are updated and new transfers have been given, so all appears fine in the SW world (well, not really). With these concerns resolved, let's focus on this week's matches. Here's how Inter Guru looks right now:
Westerveld
Terry Henchoz Babbel Hyypia
Poyet McAllister Berger Speed
Heskey Hasselbaink
SWP: 35274 Div Rank: 5 World Rank: 384 out of 146186 Transfers Remaining: 10 SWŁ Remaining: 1,410,000 Lineup Value: 71,580,000 SWŁ
The only matches this week are Bradford @ Leeds, Man U @ Southampton (5/13) and Arsenal @ Newcastle (5/15). We have just enough transfers to ditch our Liverpool/Chelsea players for those with matches. Any suggestions, anyone?
Personally, I like Martyn, Ferdinand, Hughes, Stam, Johnsen (if he plays), Bowyer, Batty, Butt, Viduka, and Cort (can we afford that team?). I'm leaning towards Leeds players since they finish with two home games. I'm wary of picking Arsenal players because of the FA Cup final.
Anyone else? El Tel, Sigh, Dai, VIDevilRays...

I'm with you on Leeds Bubba. Don't they have to win both remaining to guarantee Champions League next year? I like Martyn, Viduka, Ferdinand, Bowyer and Harte.
Question. How successful will Cort be against Arsenal?
Ten men to move and eleven trades. Should I move all Liverpool players?
Moved to 80 wwr so I'm kind of excited. Not up with you fine gentlemen but I'm happy!

VIDevilRays, I'm hoping Cort will do reasonably well against an Arsenal squad coming off the Cup final and whose position in the league is secure (correct me if I'm wrong, but they have won a CL spot for next year?). As for your Liverpool players, go for it unless you really want to have that extra trade. I'm guessing we will get new trades before the final weekend of matches, so I'm using all my trades this week.

I don't think you should keep any Liverpool players now that they are not playing until the last day of the season.
I am going for the likes of Vieira, Bowyer, Ferdinand, Martyn, Ashley Cole, Beckham, Wiltord, Cort, Speed, Ljundberg, Dacourt and Carbone, can't see me going for anybody else out of this range to be honest.
My pick for this week is........ Wiltord for Arsenal, has been solid of late and should do well in his last 2 games IMHO, he WILL play barring injury as he has not played most of the season so I think Wenger will play him and most likely rest Henry, just a hunch.

Bubba, having viewed from (just) above and below your meteoric rise into Top 10 contention,I may have to not divulge my plan this week;-) But I did last week-it's Leeds. By the way Vid if Liverpool beat Charlton,Leeds can't get into the Champions League. However they have to beat Bradford and it is assumed that he will play a strong side in this local derby. But having sandbagged everyone with his threats of a weakened team v Arsenal,it was just 3 changes.D O'L is furious with Smith(mega fine) and Keane has an ankle problem.Harte was crap in Valencia.Radebe wants a game before the season is over.Mills or Kelly? The young goalie? This is down to informed guesswork now. Best of luck to all El Tel

Guesswork? No worries, then. That's how I've been playing this game all year! :-)

Dai-don't you think Arsenal is kinda risky this weekend? Maybe not Wiltford and Cole, but Viera?
Just a question.

Not at all, I think Vieira is going to play, they are not the sort of team to lose their last few games, they will want to win and he is a big part of that, he is in my team.

I have convinced myself too I think ! :)
No, seriously, Arsenal have not got much cover for midield with injuries and Vieira is such a big part that he will not want to sit on the bench, he will be playing, I hope !! ;)
A lot of team in the Top 10 have got him so I am going to go with the majority I think, he has been on my team for a while now and I don't have enough trades to take him out because he may NOT play.

Got me thinking Dai. I do have the trades. Right now I have Beckham, Speed and Bowyer. Could get DaCourt, Solano or Butt (three best alternatives I think). Leaning towards DaCourt but anyone find Solano intriguing?

I have gone right off Solano. VID, I have read on skysports.com that Man Utd will be resting all the big guns so if you have Beckham, they reckon you should take him out cos he will not be invloved in the game tomorrow, just a heads up. I would go with Dacourt, always a solid 100+ SWP man when he plays, I would go with him.

Ok Vid,youve prised my top tip for the next 2 weeks out.Harry Kewell.Newcastle are very poor at the moment:Solano has bad discipline but does get points from free kicks and pens.No. 3 on your list for me. El Tel

Kewell ? He could be a good pick but I have always found him to be much less consistent than Dacourt and Bowyer for my liking. It is your team but I think there are better options IMHO.
