Good to know you still care about me,Dai.Dramatic improvement in the situation.On Monday SW prizes responded to an empassioned e-mail sent the previous Wednesday.'Our records show that the Top 10 e-mail was sent to you,but perhaps there was E-mail related trouble.Here is the message confirmation'.I use a work e-mail run to the highest standards by a major global ad agency.All is not well at their end ,since I heard nothing either regarding my 47th in mid-season basketball.Anyway I faxed them the details requested on Tuesday,settling for the $600 proffered.And that's bang up to date.'The cheque's in the post' reminds me of a filthy joke about promises never to believe.I shall be tempted to frame mine rather than cash it after all this;-)

I really don't see why they can't raise a cheque and post it in 2 weeks,since it must be budgeted for.I am deeply suspicious about my treatment throughout this whole soccer/basketball prize payment episode.E-mails not getting through....they do if they are sent.From my vantage point,avoidance could well be part of their game.Incompetence is also possible.

I think they know that 9 Europeans would be pretty powerless in legal cyberspace.I tried to raise a reply from planetfootball,who hosted the game,but it's all quiet there too.Don't give up hope-the fax went to a Washington number when I thought SW was in Manhattan.Who knows how they work,but it does seem that the money basketball games were payed out pretty promptly compared to this.How long is it since you last had contact?

what's with the "00" preceding the area code?
aren't they based in New York, making the area code 212?
I think that there should be 10 digits, 3 for the area code, and 7 for the actual phone number.
(e.g. (212)434-9777)

Pick up your phone, dial 00 for an internation call. Then dial 1 for the US, then 212 4140400, so all in all you dial :

When I called SW, I was connected from the main desk to "member services" and got the voicemail of some guy named Peter.
Is that who you spoke to? think he'll call me back?
anyway, *DAI or EL TEL*,
will you please send me the email about the $600/TV prize option that you got at the end of June (as I didn't receive it).
