Again, we think the format is relatively unique.

Check it out at:

Just some info:
Simone Inzaghi, Zenoni, Pessotto and ALbertini won't be in the Italian team.
Roberto Baggio is now being taken into consideration by Trapattoni.

We knew that there would be tons of changes. So we made our list as broad as possible knowing that some players wouldn't be there. As a fan of the Azzurri, I'd love to see Baggio back.

So you mean that you won't add players? Why not?

No, we WILL add players. But we knew that some of the players included in our game WOULDN'T be. We'll make updates each week leading up to the big event.

You'd think such a global game like the World Cup wouldn't be pay4trades. I mean in any elimination style tournament like the World Cup it's going to be the people that buy trades that win.

Id rather pay a small fee of $5 and have everyone on a level playing field than this for soccer.

Erik I'm confused betwen the Championship and Grand Prize, whats the difference?

Twarpy:

1) There is no difference. Sorry for the confusion. The winner of the Championship receives the Grand Prize.

2) To be honest with you, we're testing to see if soccer is an interesting market for us to enter. The PFT model gives us a greater sense of who's interested, and it allows a casual fan to be involved in the WC. I'm a huge soccer fan, and I didn't want to be in a situation where we had just a few hundred people playing a pay game. I'd rather see what we can build on.

Erik soccer is the most popular sport in thw world... I think you can expect a few buyers. I know it's my favorite sport, and I pay for most your main American sport games (football, baseball, sometimes bball).

If you can get some publicity around the european soccer "community", you can create a very successfull game, for a sport that IMO is way behind in the fantasy games area.

Maybe you should take a look at sites like italian-soccer.com, livescore.com, soccerlinks.com, etc.

They all seem to be partners and have banners of each other, and this is way the hardcore soccer fans are. A few bans there (There are no fantasy sites in that partnership), combined with a good game (wich you can defenetly provide), can start a big thing.

Sorry if I'm getting carried away, but just the idea of a european soccer game on TSN is very appealing to me.

ERIK TD IS RIGHT. We have a ton of fantasy soccer games here, but if you would build a tsn one, even if we'll have to pay, i'll be ready to play.
Unfortunately you're choosing a bad way to test your eventual feedback, because a pft game isn't all that attractive, as you can see from all our comments....we're trying to give you our feedback, we just want to make tsn better and no one doubts about the quality of the service you offer us, so listen to us.....bye.

Lazio, Duncan:

I hear you, I hear you. And you have to understand that I'm a huge calcio fan (nice win this weekend, Lazio). Unfortunately, it simply isn't easy to get soccer on our radar because of TSN's American focus. I'm really doing my best. Let me add that the World Cup game is entirely playable without PFTs. And if the response is positive, we'll look hard at Serie A, the Premiership and the Champion's League next year.

Erik B. another possibility that I still like a lot would be to buy almost a "seasons pass", for TSN games. Like for all the soccer games, you pay one price and have the option to play all 3.

I think you'll grab the casual fan who has a good start and wants to maintain it buying trades, but most people will get frustrated that someone who doesn't have as good managerial schools but more money can beat them.

twarpy, you centered the point.
erik, thanks, we really played a great game and fortunately juventus won, because it would have been frustrating to let roma win another title...
