This is similar to uefagames.com's game for the Champions League...so what are you waiting for? Join it!

What's the ID-number for the Rotoguru-division? Can't join without it.

I gave up on this game as it seems impossible to draft a reasonable team with the cap provided.....am I missing something?

Hmm, I think I came up with a nice team with the funds provided... the trick is all the players from the projected "good" teams cost a lot, so you have to search for the bargains. It's difficult yea, but the relatively low cap makes it also more interesting I think.

i drafted a fairly decent team (IMHO)::

G: Chilavert
FB: Cafu, Carlos
CB: Gamarra, Leboeuf
MF: Acuna, Figo, Vieira, Wilmots
CF: Ronaldo, Sand

Subs: Beasley, O'Brien, Daf, Sylva, Solis

my subs are pretty weak, though.. hopefully, the usa makes it out of the 1st round

ID code 221

My team:

Alioum (cheap starter from Cameroon)

Geremi (another cheap one from Cameroon... and he's a Mid!)
Gamarra
Hierro
R. Carlos

Zuma (offensive Mid from South Africa, very good)
Ronaldinho
Ballack
Wilmots (way underpriced)

Klose
Vieri

Sub:
Sevallos
Marquez
De La Cruz
Foe
Sand

Not a bad team, uh?

My team:
GK: Chilavert (PAR)

FB: Arce (PAR), Deflandre (BEL), Geremi (CAM)
CB: Gamarra (PAR), Diatta (SEN), Kalla (CAM)

MF: Ronaldinho (BRA), Veron (ARG), Karpin (RUS), Vieira (FRA), Acuņa (PAR), R. Fonseca (COS), Wilmots (BEL)

CF: Ronaldo (BRA), Strupar (BEL)

Not bad IMHO but I see a few flaws as well.

1. Too many Paraguayans. They were rather reasonably priced and I see them go pretty far in the competition (although not quite as far as Chilavert predicted:), so I may actually profit from that at first.

2. Too many African defencemen (and maybe too little African midfielders and centreforwards). Prices are the most important reason here as well. Unfortunately I don't think African teams will go too far in the competition. I'm not even sure Cameroon will be in playoffs. Most points will come from midfielders and centerforwards anyway.

3. Too many Belgians. I actually see Belgium go pretty far as well. But I still have to start trading them after quarterfinals. More bad news for me.

4. No substitutes for centreforwards. All the good centreforwards are so damn expensive.

5. Too little players who I expect to stay with me all the way - just 3 or 4 by my count. As Samuli already said players from "good" teams are rather expensive. Anyway, I think I'll use all my 10 trades, but considering the prices of the players I'll be selling and of those I'll be buying, it won't be easy. I'd be really lucky to have 7 or 8 playing in semifinals.

Oh I forgot, I do have Hierro, too. But since the scoring system isn't quite clear to me, I don't know if spending big bucks to d-men is too bright an idea.

It's updated again... I wonder why I didn't get points for my Cameroon-players (Mboma, Lauren, Song), just for Kahn. So, I should've got 14 points but got just 7 instead.

Oh, now I see Mboma actually racked up 6 points, first it said 4... still none of them appear on my account, though.
