Subject: AZ Alkmaar... What does AZ stand for?

They are in the Dutch First Division (same division as Amsterdam Ajax)

I'm not 100% sure I'm right, but I believe A stands for Alkmaar and Z stands for Zaanstreek. At least that's my interpretation of the information from this fanpage.
