Subject: Message Board Yeam (Week 3)

I thought I'd start a new thread for this week for easier reading. (there are some comments pertaining to this week in last week's thread from Sigh, Edgar and El Tel--don't forget to check them out!)
So, to paraphrase El Tel, our lads were phenomenal this weekend, scoring 1339 SWP (not including Carrick). Again, our team id is 64771, for anyone who wants to check it out.
Flowers
LeSaux Bramble Desailly Johnsen
Carrick Cordone Beckham Hamann
Owen Henry
SWP: 2200 World Rank: 25607 out of 59110 Lineup Value: 51,780,000 SWŁ SWŁ Remaining: 5,370,000 Transfers Remaining: 4 (+ more on Tue)
On initial inspection we look solid at pretty much every position, so we probably won't have to tinker too much with our line-up. Sigh suggested Henry->Jeffers (for short-term cash gains). Any other suggestions?
Some other players to consider (based on support from previous messages) might be Kinkladze, Ziege, and Hendrie.

I would suggest to keep both our strikers and not go to Jeffers since he plays ManU next. ManU hasn't given away much last couple of games. On the other hand both Henry and Owen look good right now and have favourable machups. Hendrie could be a good pickup for his home match vs Bradford. Personally I don't feel to good about our friend Titus Bramble. Maybe pick up someone else for him instead of sending him to Leeds??

Bramble to Taggart? Cordone to Hendrie?
Keep Thierry at all costs.
I still hate Le Saux.

Well Roo I sincerely dislike LeSaux as well but that goes for Ewing in Hoops, Lindros in Hockey and a few more modern sports players. Especially Lothar Matthaus but he finally has retired. Taggart is good, had him on one of my teams but I doubt he can keep up his current pace. Still I support the move. On the other hand I would say keep Cordone as he will bounce back next game. He's still a striker in the line-up of a good team. At that price you can't beat it.

Whatever you all decide is fine with me:)
Is the schedule correct that Leicester/Chelsea and West Ham/Liverpool play each other twice this weekend? And if true, should one load up on those players?

VIDevilRays--I don't think that scheduling quirk is correct, at least according to the fixtures lists I've seen.
To sum up the suggestions above, here's a preliminary list of possible moves we can vote on:
1) Henry->Jeffers 2) Keep Henry 3) Bramble->Taggart 4) Keep Bramble 5) Cordone->Hendrie 6) Keep Cordone 7) Hate LeSaux

VID-teams playing in the EUFA Cup on a Thursday are allowed to move their following domestic fixture back to Sunday.This is the reason for any confusion.Arrivederci Gianluca!Watch for changes in the pecking order at Chelsea.Will the new man hate Le Saux? Cheers El Tel

Cordone was the top money loser today. Anybody know why?

The folks didn't rate his last 2 scores -54,37 or so.So they chase Hendrie and his goal.Doubt it's based on the likely return of Cort Saturday,pushing Cordone into more defensive duties.Cole and Smicer are 2 I'll look at on Friday as replacements for the pony-tail. El Tel

Thanks El Tel-that's exactly what smallworld in its market watch says-Cort's return may push Cordone off the first team. Thanks for the replacement suggestions.

I've just jumped on the Hughes and Silvinho bandwagons, selling Taggart and Elliott. It's partly a money thing, but I've also got a funny feeling that Chelsea are going to stuff Leicester.
I'm now voting Bramble -> Silvinho (at home to Coventry) and sticking with Cordone to Hendrie. Villa are at home to Bradford, while Cole - El Tel's suggestion - plays Liverpool.
I think we can take No.7 as a given...

I vote 2, 8, and 5 (and, of course, 7). Henry should stay, he's too good to get rid of, at least for now. I think Bramble is due to come down to earth, and Silvinho is a more solid pick than Taggart. I'd like to drop Cordone because 1) he is losing big bucks now and 2) his role on the team will be at least different, if not diminished, by Cort's return. Hendrie, with his money gains and upcoming opponent, is an excellent replacement.
Including my votes, the tally is
1) Henry->Jeffers : 1 vote 2) Keep Henry : 3 votes
3) Bramble->Taggart : 1 vote 4) Keep Bramble : 1 vote 8) Bramble->Silvinho : 2 vote
5) Cordone->Hendrie : 2 vote 6) Keep Cordone : 2 votes
7) Hate LeSaux : 8 votes
We need some more voters. El Tel or anyone else?

If you're wondering why LeSaux has 8 votes but only 4 people have voted, I think Roo was stuffing the ballot!

1)keep Henry 2)dump Bramble,Slvinho seems fine although personally I've got an Ian Harte leaning for Sat 3)Cordone to Cole And I also vote that as a community we learn to love Graham.He may be a Guardian- reading intellectual thug,but he's quite selective with his vendettas.Dixon and Fowler(who did imply with an on-field gesture that Graham is a bender)are as far as it goes.I can't see a problem there.More importantly he's the one and only experienced English half decent defender with anything resembling a left foot.We need him badly for the Germany game.As Hark knows this game matters more than most.7 is rejected. I also remember fights with Ince, Perez and Batty (who played for the same team at the time).
The next England left-back, Ashley Cole, is currently learning from our man Silvinho. If you are the El Tel from Palace you'll kno him from last season...

Sorry - I've just read that again the next morning and it sounds a bit aggressive, especially without my usual :0).
The Self-Edit wouldn't let me fix it before El Tel wakes up.
Maybe all this talk of Le Saux is getting to me!

Polls are now closed. We're hanging onto Henry and Cordone and trading Bramble for Silvinho.

So much for selling Taggart and Elliott because of my funny feeling.
Teams with new managers ALWAYS win, but maybe that only applies to teams with bottle, and if Chelsea had any of that then Vialli would still be there!
