0 Subject: Message Board Team (Week 5)

After this weekend's games, here's how we look.

Flowers

LeSaux
Silvinho
Desailly
Johnsen

Carrick
Cordone->Joe Cole*
Beckham
Hamann

Owen
Henry->Flo*

SWP: 3728 (not inc. Sunday's game)
World Rank: 21910 out of 66062
Lineup Value: 56,330,000 SWŁ
SWŁ Remaining: 5,310,000
Transfers Remaining: 9

*For money purposes I made the Cordone->Joe Cole and Henry->Flo trades on my own, since we have plenty of trades to get Cordone or Henry back later if we want. I didn't want to risk losing out on the market trends while waiting for a consensus decision. Hopefully that's cool with you all. At any rate, we still have plenty of trades to use for more strategic, group planning.

Bramble is still making solid gains in value. Since we have a surplus of trades, how about picking him up for either Desailly or Johnsen? For midfield, how about Carrick->Kinkladze? Looks like Georgi might be rounding into form with his goal this past weekend.

Any other moves?

Are we learning to love Graham? Capt for the day, involved in all 3 goals, goalline save of the season,Man of the match-his stats don't do him justice ;-)
Glad you got Cole.Don't want Flo.Watch Gazza's value jump when stats for Sunday come out.Bubba,be cautious with Georgi and Carrick-they both came on as subs.Burley will be a major cheap point garnerer at Derby.I have a West Ham thing this week:Di Canio,Cole,Lampard, even Kanoute home to useless Bradford.
They all play midweek either in Europe or the Worthington Cup,so I'll hold off until we see who survives that.Good work,

I'm all with El Tel as far as Hammers are concerned. My vote for Henry -> di Canio. I have the feeling he's going to have a good game against Bradford.

PS When I have this kind of feelings I'm normally wrong.

Check it out-Gazza 230,top midfielder of the week. But because the SW speed machine was unable to post this until after Wednesday's repricing, gains this week are severely curtailed. The delivery of this game just isn't up to scratch, making it hard to take seriously.

El Tel: Wow, you're right about Gazza. He's today's top gainer at 180,000.

You're also have it dead-on that the game is hard to take seriously and really get into like other SW sports. The combination of slow updates, SWP mistakes, etc., has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for the game (and others' as well, by the looks of the drop in participation on this board). That being said, I'm still gonna plug on. Despite all the negatives, it's still an interesting game.

Back to the message board team stuff:

Hamann and Silvinho are among today's biggest money losers. Any thoughts on whether we keep or sell 'em (and for who). I suggest Silvinho->Pearce and Hamann->Scholes. This would still leave us with enough cash to trade Flo->Di Canio-I hope Urmas' feeling is right for a change :)

Any other moves?

I'm tempted to make these moves soon, so speak up if you're really against any of them, otherwise if I don't get any opposition I'll go ahead and make them before the next price changes.

All of those moves sound good. I am personally making the Silvinho move on my team.

Could you post what the current team is now?

The only problem I see is Desailly. He didn't travel with the squad to their disaster in Switzerland(?!?)-hammy.They hope he'll recover but now he's captain of France he might not be so keen on risking further damage in this shambles prior to internationals.Suggestion come vote:
Desailly to Harte, who v. Tottenham stands good chances of both a clean sheet and a pen..

Hello.

Yeah - I'm bored of it too. It's ironic that it's the Premier League game I'm bored of and I'm excited about the start of Hockey, when all I know about Hockey is from NHL FaceOff on the Playstation. I don't know whether it's the lack of games, the fact that it's so predictable or just having to make stupid/horrible moves (i.e. buying Le Saux and selling Henry).

Sorry.

If anyone wants my team, Bangkok Arsenal, the password is onelove. Someone please take them, even if just to change the password, so I don't get tempted back.

For what it's worth, I'd buy Bergkamp. He's coming into form fast and is guaranteed some action every game as he doesn't fly.

I like that Desailly->Harte move, El Tel.

So that's two votes for Desailly->Harte.

Roo- C'mon you know you want to keep playing ;-)
BTW, You're a Gunners fan, aren't you, what do you think of Ljungberg, could his game v. Lazio carry-over into Premiership success? I had the rare chance to watch them on t.v. and, granted Lazio were rubbish, Arsenal looked pretty impressive. Watch out, Man U.(esp. when Vieira comes back from his suspension)
