0 Subject: Comepetitive Division Needed

Posted by: Dai
- [5395184] Fri, Oct 20, 06:13

Is there anybody out there who would allow me into their division. I am currently 15 WWR and I am looking for a more competitive division than the one I am in at the moment. If you think I would fit in your division please reply to this note with details on how I can join.

Cheers,

Dai

SW currently has my b team at 323.It was 8th and is owed loads of points from games 0f the 30th/1st plus Given's score from Monday. If sw sorts out the scoring, maybe we found a Belly Division-with appropriate permission from the founders and copyright protectors. If sw doesn't sort it out I quit anyway.Have you noticed how the world no.1 only gets 800 or so each week?SW has really made a mess of things for many of us-including VID.Liverwood should continue to prosper home to LCFC,provided you can read Houlier's mind!

I don't know if there is still a cap on the number of teams per division, otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to invite you to join the RotoGuru.com division. There are currently already 20 teams. If you'd like to join, the division info (inc. password) is on a thread somewhere on the soccer board. Hopefully, there is no limit to the number of teams so that you can get in.

There isn't as yet.......we would have to form it.No rush, since although they've updated with Sat 21 scores, the rest of mine are still missing.Hopeless.No response to 5 e-mails.Still,thanks to J-F in the top 100 with 800/900 points missing.See Liverwood are marching onward and upward-good stuff.

Thanks El Tel, Liverwood ARE on their way up !! My team value is now up to £87m, the most I have seen from any of the leading managers. My second team, Littlepool, is 97 WWR at the moment so I am looking to keep on going up and up.

If you form a belly division then let me know and I will be there.

Also, if you have not had your points yet then it does not look good about you getting them at all, I had problems last year and they were only fixed when I phoned them. Are you sure these points are missing ? How could they miss so many points ? Try phoning them on 00 1 212 4140 400, keep on trying till they sort it, they never reply to e-mails.

Dai,check out the Member Services/Missing Points section of SW's Message Boards. They cannot be unaware of the huge problem they have:they simply can't or won't do anything about it.Angry Brits.I certainly won't be playing $10 games with a company like this.

I was wondering the same thing about Bangkok Arsenal. Do you know who Carribean Kings is ? They were pushing me hard at one point but I think they went invalid for a week and so they are way behind now, that isn't you is it El Tel ?

I have opened a bit of a gap on you now Roo, just moved up to £88m, money can be very very important throughout the season. I wanna win this thing.

That's me Dai. I've just gotten too frustrated with this game. The points are not right, you never know who is playing, etc.

That one week you are referring is the one where I appear invalid but I wasn't. I went from 300 wwr to 3000! I haven't given up yet but, like El Tel, I keep waiting for them to fix the points and its extremely aggravating when they don't.

I am also playing Brazalian soccer and it has its problems also but point updates are not one of them. I am 78 wwr in that one.

Yeah - I had a couple of weeks off, where I scored OK points but didn't make any money. I think that less money is needed in this game than in Baseball, but obviously it's nice to have it!

VID, I should have guessed with a name like that !! :) I have not had a problem with my points so I don't know what is happening. I was going to play the brazilian soccer too but I could not understand all the spanish on the site and also I could not be bothered to look up all the schedules, I want to win the premier league game if I can.

I do think that less money is needed but once people like Kewell come back then it will be nice to afford all the big guns.

Dai,It would be great to see a 'bellyist' win a SW game-all the best.SW has become a void in terms of communication on this.It really is unbelievable the way the insults to their conduct are piling up uncensored on their own noticeboards.I sense some good players have been docked points and some bad ones given extras(eg World no.11- Hell's Blue Boys).Interesting and potentially very effective strategy to pile up all the money you need early-I'm trying to accumulate trades for the March/April midweek games for clubs that progress in the Worthington and FA cups. But I might do a Harkonnen and Boycott SW before then.

El Tel,

I will be backlogging trades soon enough after I hit that £100m team value I think and then by the time we get midweek games again then I will be able to afford whoever I want. I never use all my trades now anyway but I will be keeping at least 2 a week back if I can which should give me plenty to play with. I would really like to do well though, it is frustrating to see teams like Hell's Blue Boys up in 11 WWR when he has not even made a trade since the start (I would love to take over his team now with all those trades !!).

Are you playing the Hoops game El Tel, I have not seen you on the boards, are you posting under a different name as I know 'El Tel' is very much a footy name !!

Dai

PS Any news on that England job yet ? :)

PPS Don't leave SW, they will sort themselves out I am sure of it.

Dai-El Tel is teletubbies in Belly Hoops. El Tel-that's exactly what has happened. Either players did not get the points deserved or points were somehow doubled for people.

The irony is I do like the game. But I just cannot take this discrepancy to be constantly ignored. SW doesn't even acknowledge it.

I'll have my 2 teletubbies teams in Hoops,Dai:one in the Belly and one in Eurogurupies-I think my top European status could be in jeopardy;-)
Hoops doesn't come naturally like soccer so I've been reading rather than posting(when meetings don't interfere). No sooner do I think I have a team than something comes along to unsettle it-like Mason's ankle.Ah well football and hockey to
do before checking that your Liverpool lot come through unscathed tonight.

El Tel, sorry mate, did not realise you were teletubbies, my aplogies. Good to see another European in the belly division, I am also in the Euro league as 'Made in Wales'. I finished around 500 WWR last year but I am sure there were Europeans who were placed higher. Hopefully I can go better this year but I am finding it hard to pick a team.

1-0 !!! What a display...... of sheer uselessness by the 'pool last night. I am ashamed...... never mind, Heskey showed his worth and stays in for this week anyway !!!

Yes,Dia,Painful for a neutral, even worse I would imagine for a fan.Fowler should be ashamed, playing like that in the captain's armband.I'm indulging myself with Kevin Phillips in SW this weekend,so watch out!

The Reds done me proud last night and what makes it better is that both Heskey and Berger got on the score sheet, pity Hyypia could not keep the clean sheet. Ah well, never mind. Quite a good weekend of games for me though I think, Hasselbaink got 2, Heskey and Berger had 1 and the rest of my players scored over 80 SWP. I wish I had left in Barthez instead of going to Flowers but never mind.

I calculate that 'brooklyn fc' look like the team to beat, had another good week and should move up to 1st in the WWR after this round of games. Top 10 will do me fine, I want that TV :)

Very bad week for my b team-the one that is 66th with about 800 points missing.Let down by Given,Anderton,Pires,Phillips and the Leeds lot.
Henry and Hasselbaink's combined 600 look good for the a team.Leeds v Liverpool next-interesting.

I think I may get out of Heskey this week with that Leeds game coming up, Owen should be back soon but I dunno whether he is worth the risk. Henry could be a good buy, playing Middlesbrough but Sherringham looks a good buy too cos he Man Utd are playing Coventry, the thing with Man Utd players is that they change the squad around so he may not even play next week !!

At this stage I'd bet heavily on the Yorke/Soljskear pairing at Coventry with the first choice Sherry/Cole duo held over to the vital Kiev game.

Unfortunately not,Dia.It looks to me as though they've finally managed to integrate the missing points from the Monday games of 16th and 23rd of October. The problem is their addition of points from the games of 30/9 and 1/10.One minute I was 8th,the next 1600 and something. The problem is fully recorded both on their own boards and here, but they are thoroughly complacent and incompetent.Bad week this week with only 981,slipping from 66 to 93rd.I'll potter on in the hope that Don Mathis reads his puffery about the best games on the net and does something.I don't think I can give Liverwood an 800 point start!I coulda bin a contender.

Liverwood had a great week, 1400 SWPs and I have now moved up to 4th WWR. Long way to go though but I am looking forward to the challenge. Keep it up El Tel, there is one thing I have learned playing SW Sports and that is that they mess up but they always fix it in the end, carry on as if nothing has happened and it will get sorted. Happened to me in hoops last year.

I was trying to do my trades at work and got interrupted, then forgot all about it.

I am now ranked 3579, a drop of 3000 places!
Even worse than that - I'm now 6th in an "uncompetitive" division.

Guys, I do not want to start any wars but are you sure that there is a problem with your teams, you did not make any mistakes with mis-calculating the freeze or something did you ? I hope this is sorted out soon for you both, I can imagine how frustrating it must be.
