We didn't have a banner Saturday (556 SWP), a big drop from last Saturday's 1314 SWP. I wish we could have predicted Viduka's awesome display of finishing :-( At least we traded out of Westerveld and his negative SWP, unlike my own team. I made the two trades on my own, for obvious money reasons:
Desailly->Silvinho Hasselbaink->Viduka
Berger is among the leading money losers. Maybe it's time to think of a replacement? Graham, Smicer, Beckham all come to mind.
Barthez
Silvinho Melchiot Ziege Pearce
Bakke Butt Dyer Berger
Henry Viduka
SWP: 8072 World Rank: 11917 out of 88230 Transfers Remaining: 7 SWŁ Remaining: 12,790,000 Lineup Value: 61,340,000 SWŁ |

Sorry about the Desailly,Melchiot farce,Bubba. No idea they were non-starters or even doubtful.Butt is another story-a big error on my part which cost me dear.I can only assume he was held out because Scholes is suspended for Europe tomorrow. Berger has to go now-out for the season after his knee crumpled when challenging Viduka for I think the 3rd goal.Lots of options.I'd add Hutchinson and my choice Poyet who will surely head another v Leeds. This still leaves Silvinho(not gone to Europe),Melchiot,Bakke,Butt and Viduka who need careful consideration pre-freeze.More later. Bubba,
How about a "flyer" on Owen? Supposed to be back this week, but might be too early!

Hi Peregrine! It's nice to see a new name contributing. I'll be sure to keep an eye on Owen. I didn't realize Berger's condition until El Tel's post, but it's clear we have to pick up another midfielder ASAP, hopefully before tomorrows price changes. Who should I get?

Hamann - money gains; OK schedule for next few (quite a few) weeks; sure to play now that Berger is out.

Thanks Urmas. I just went Berger->Hamann on my own team. I guess that's what I'll do now for Inter Guru.

Bubba,
Owen is travelling to Liberec, but likely to be on the bench. Gazza's injury is much less severe than first thought, and he may be back as early as Saturday. Again, both are worth keeping an eye on.
I too like Hamann for Berger, but Merson also bears watching.

What's the deal with Viduka? He went down 350,000 today. I didn't read anywhere that he was injured. Do we trade him (maybe Owen, who is still doubtful, or one of the Man U strikers who should play more with Cole out)? Melchiot is available but will he play?

Bubba,
I had thought that I had sent this message earlier in the day, but had screwed up. I don't think that there is anything wrong with Viduka (and have not been able to find anything untoward on the net), simply folks banking the money before this weekend.
Owen is back in the saddle and scored at Liberec yesterday, so his money train is just starting to leave the station.
I still like Merson in mid-field, but Liverpool's Gerrard may also be worth watching.
