Does anyone have another website other than Soccerage.com that posts the Brazilian sched.??
Soccerage has not posted it beyond the 19th.

Thanks Tom

That is the end of the first leg of the tournament. I can't seem to find the schedule for the playoffs, so I am just going to try to have guys from the 12 teams that make it and hope the elimination rounds don't kill me.
I am starting to wonder just how long this game will last, by the way. Anyone have any ideas when it is over? I thought the 32 rounds were all that would be included. I guess not.

MC - I am in the same boat. I will just try to have players from the "12". I believe there are some missed or not played games still anybody know if they will be played now??

I agree. But I can't believe the haphazard way I found out the comp will continue. If it wasn't for that "save your trades" blurb I never would have known the games were continuing. Sheesh!!

SoccerAge now has the schedule updated through the 30th.

Perhaps someone can explain to me why everyone is trading into Romario today if the roster is frozen until Wed and then frozen again until Sat?

Trading into Romario is happening because Magno Alves and a bunch of other strikers were eliminated when their teams lost. Those who bought him made money from him (is that even neccesary anymore?), while those eliminated players lost cash.

This game is hilariously flawed, terribly programmed, and deficiently monitored. Pathetic excuse for a game, Don Mathis.

If I don't get my TV I will be pissed.

How is everyone else doing right now? I am going strong with a full team of available players and 3 remaining trades, as of Wednesday afternoon. In 3rd place overall right now.

Where you been Motley? Up to wwr 43, and two trades left.

What I meant about Romario was that people were trading into him without getting the benefit of his game, since it was yesterday. Had to have him pre-freeze Sat. to get his game.

Money isn't a factor for me anymore. Got 17 mil in the bank!!

VI, I have been playing silently the last few weeks--assumed the season was winding down, and knew I was a winner. In reality it is just now winding up!
I just read Romario was hurt in that game Tuesday night, incidentally. How bad was not specified. This is courtesy of Soccerage. They just mentioned it in passing, so I am assuming it was a crybaby soccer injury, and not some grotesque Ronaldo-type knee rupture. Vasco doesn't play agaian until Sunday so hopefully he will be back.

Did you find a schedule yet? I got this off of Soccerage:

11/29 Internacional 1, Cruzeiro 1
11/30 Gremio x Sport
12/2 Cruzeiro x Internacional
12/3 Sport x Gremio
12/3 Vasco x Parana
12/7 Parana x Vasco

And then there were 2... Where the heck did Sao Caetano come from anyway? What a season this has been. Looks like I will finish in 4th. Not too bad all things considered.
With this game winding down next week, and fantasy football ending, I don't know what I'll do the next few months.

Grats Motley. After my success here I sure wish I had started when the season started. Also lost points due to the freeze mixup.

I do hope sw brings this game back next year. Compared to its Premier League game this game was smooth sailing.

Something else about Sao Cantano! Betcha Vasco kicks their arse! We'll see.

I feel the same way about Vasco--they have all the gears churning right now, and have been hot on offense and defense.
I am officially off soccer games--nothing against the sport, but trying to guess who is going to do what and not actually knowing any of the players is just too strange.
I could be talked down from that ledge if a World Cup Game is presented in `02... Now that would be fun.

Where are you at in WWR now VI?

I forgot to tell you all something I learned a while back. Remember how you said when you click on another manager's team, it says "not available" or whatever? Well, if you make a team in the Portuguese-language version of the game, you can click through and see those other rosters. Assuming it won't do you much good now, but there's the scoop. I just checked Mr. Number 3 and he still has 5 Cruzeiro guys on his team for tonight. I should be able to catch him. Same prize either way, but I prefer the better ranking (wouldn't you?). I looked at Mr. #1 and Mr. #2--their teams are identical. I would not be surprised at all if it was the same person with 2 teams.
After finishing at 186 and 3000+ in football, this will feel kind of nice. Definitely my highest finish ever.

Now at wwr 35 Motley. The "Super Typhoons"! Was as high as 32 last week, but somehow lost ground with that Vasco-Cruzeiro game. Have six Vasco's and five Sao's now, so should be in good shape, six trades left.

Can't say my best finish ever. Finished at 16 in baseball, currently at 39 in hoops.

Hope to see you next year-I will be definitely starting a division for everybody. Hey-they don't give out tv's for every sport!!!:)

Good luck!!!

The reason you lost ground was because alot of us up front used all those spare trades to have rosters full of Cruzeiro and Vasco players, to maximize points. I had enough to do it and still trade back into 5 Sao Caetanos, so now I have them and 6 Vasco's, too. And Mr. #3 was invalid last night, so I moved up into his slot. If the 2 people (1 person)in front of me are prize ineligible, I could get the trip to Japan?

And what the Faulk is going on with Juninho not playing last night? I have one trade left and am thinking maybe I need to move out of him for Saturday's Final? Any thoughts?

Saw the same thing Motley about Juninho. Don't know what happened. Since next freeze is Sat was just going to wait till the last minute to see what was going on. Hell, with 30 mil in the bank money's not an issue:)

Also had Euller who stunk up the joint-may move him to "old man" Romario.

Also heard some rumor that Adhemar had yellow flags last series that they were going to hold against him this series? He did play last night but he bears watching.

Maybe SC is better than I thought. Never thought first game would be a tie (tho advantage Vasco).

Good luck!

Yes, I saw the thing about the yellows on Soccerage. I ignored it because he played last night and I had only one trade anyway, so I don't need to fret over something I can't do anything about.
Actually just used that last trade to go Juninho--> Claudecir. My differentiation pick was to have one of SC's other midfielders in place of him, but that didn't work out.
Yes, you really need to get into Romario before the last game. He is sure to outpoint Euller.

Even after all that has happened this season, I am still mildly surprised at all the chaos surrounding the second leg of the JH Final. I must be a fool--this whole tournament has been completely disorganized from the start. I feel like the results will have no validity at all because of the way everything went off. What a joke Brazilian soccer is, and the CBF should be ashamed of themselves.

Motley-what were the results? Read about the confusion but did not see how it was fixed, if it was fixed.

In any event grats on the tv!

Thanks, VI. I have only seen that it is not, in fact, definitely resolved yet, and that a Tribunal may have to intercede and chose a winner. Or else they may have co-champions. Either way, it should take them a while down there to get it all figured out.
The irony is, that trip to Japan is supposed to happen in like a month, so SW needs to declare a winner pretty soon here. Otherwise, if they wait until the final is played (or a decision is made), the "Inter-Continental Cup" could be over.

SW's announcement at the game website:

The final match was interrupted because of violence in the stands. We have frozen all lineups, and will be awarding no new trades. Whoever you have on your squad now will generate points for you whenever the match is eventually played. As soon as we have any new information, we will post it to the site.

Ha, what a joke. It seems possible to me that the match may not be played "eventually"... it might be omitted entirely.

Soccerage update:

The third leg of the 2-legged-final of the JH Cup will be played January 18. In light of the problems experienced in the 2nd leg, i.e., too many people coming into the game, the final will be played in 100,000 seat Maracana. Oh yeah--tickets will be free.

Are you kidding? FREE? And they thought the last one was a disaster.

This should be wild! There will be a riot when they try to close the gates when the stands are full.

Apparently the Havelange Cup final was played last night. I finished 3rd overall, as expected. That is really quite exciting--I will take my SW prizes any way I can get them. Had a fun year--thanks for keeping me company guys. Until next year... Adeus.

Agree Motley-you guys kept my interest up. Grats to you and all of us-and Tom, thanks for letting us in your division (btw-I never would have started a division in nascar if I had known you started one)

See y'all next year (and see you in nascar tom:))!

Dai-- I have not. And I am starting to get restless. I wonder what will happen. I tried posting a thread in the "Forum Developments" to see if anyone had any advice, but so far, NO ONE has responded.
I also sent SW an e-mail and got no respopnse to that. I am starting to get frustrated. What prize are you expecting?

MC, I am not 'expecting' a prize but I am currently in 4 WWR in the premier league game and I was just wondering how they worked the prizes and how they sent them to the winners. That is bad news that they have not contacted you yet because the season finished a while ago now didn't it ???? I did have a telephone number for Small World which I could find for you if you want to give them a ring ?

Let me know,

Dai

Dai--

Sent them another e-mail yesterday. With all the chaos surrounding the Brazilian Final, final scores weren't posted until January 19. That's about 4 weeks ago, I guess. I should have heard something by now. They can't just ignore their obligation. Maybe I should get that number.
When does the Premier League end?

Thanks alot.
