Last week was somewhat disappointing week, not just in SWP but in lack of suggestions. I guess people out there are pretty busy, but I'll keep on going.
Our current team is:

Barthez

Venus
Desailly
Melchiot
Ziege

Scholes
Dyer
Beckham
Hamann

Sheringham
Viduka

SWP:9702
World Rank: 9553 out of 96940
Transfers Remaining: 5
SWŁ Remaining: 3,790,000

Fri night, in the absence of any suggestions, I made the following trades: Silvinho->Desailly, Butt->Beckham, S. Pearce->Venus, Bakke->Scholes.

Teddy S. is currently the biggest price dropper. Do we trade out of him ASAP (and for who?) or hang onto him (if healthy) because of Man U's potent attack combined with Andy Cole's absence (i.e. more potential playing time)? Any other moves?

Hi Bubba. The one thing I have learned (hopefully) is that you really can't make decisions for next weekend so early in the week. Therefore, since you have five trades, you can selectively move a price loser for a winner, and hope you can keep him next week, or be prepared to trade again. Or, you can just trade out the loser, go invalid, and hope that a clear choice becomes available on Friday. At this point, I have no idea who to pick up for next week unless you want to make money. If that's the case, pick one of the price gainers that match up with the biggest price loser. Hope this helps.

Back again,Bubba.I agree with VID-you fix the money and we'll look at the team after the European games.Tough week too coming up.Ziege seems really in Houlier's doghouse at the moment.Chelsea can't play away and have to go to Everton.I'll watch Venus tonight.More later.

Hey guys, nice to have you back. I agree that it's better to make decisions later in the week, which I started doing more on my own team when I reached 80 mill. It's been pretty successful, point-wise, but has limited my RV to the mid-80s for a few weeks now. I guess that's okay, though, since there are a lot of good, moderately priced players, and RV isn't as important as in, say, baseball.

As for Inter Guru, it looks like only Sheringham needs to be sold soon. I will trade him for Beattie, then maybe we can pick up a different striker for the weekend matches. El Tel, thanks for the news on Ziege; I think I might still have him on my own team.

Bubba, I agree with offloading 'Tap-in Teddy' for Beattie. It's a bit un-nerving to see most of the good consistent strikers losing money, but I guess the price changes have been pretty volatile all season.

I just swapped Sheringham->Beattie. That leaves us with 8.76 M.

I believe Ziege is now in Germany seeking help for a mystery hamstring injury.

Votes:Ziege to Silvinho
Beattie(he's awful) to Yorke
My gut says Beckham is due a rest and will play short time this week.I've dropped him from my teams, which may well prove a kamikaze move.

Thanks El Tel. I was going to go with both of your suggestions, but after I bought Yorke I realized too late that I didn't have enough cash for Silvinho. Instead I picked up another Man U player, G. Neville (coin flip between him and A. Hughes).

our team at the freeze:

Barthez

Venus
Desailly
Melchiot
G. Neville

Scholes
Dyer
Beckham
Hamann

Yorke
Viduka

Transfers Remaining: 6
SWŁ Remaining: 90,000
