Hi everyone. Here's where we stand:
Barthez
Ferdinand Bramble Stam (Melchiot) G. Neville
Keane Murphy (Vieira) Beckham Dyer
Sheringham Keane (Hasselbaink)
SWP: 17701 Div Rank: 8 World Rank: 3893 out of 121662 Transfers Remaining: 26 SWŁ Remaining: 7,590,000 Lineup Value: 70,380,000 SWŁ
We had a solid week, picking up 1194 SWP. As you can see, I took advantage of our wealth of transfers to pick up 3 "money trains": Stam, Murphy, and Keane. I figured we needed a bit more cash to give us the luxury of picking studs for our team later on. Also, this is the week Leeds play 2 Premiership matches, so the addition of Bowyer (and others) might be an option. Gerrard and Desailly also look like good additions, as far as good producers/money gainers. Any other thoughts for this week? |

Thanks for the 411 on Dyer. Bowyer will be his replacement. BTW the whole Leeds squad?!! You're not taking any prisoners this week, are you? :)

Here we are, it's Friday. Team info has remained the same, except we've added Bowyer (for Dyer) and have 6,390,000 SWŁ in the bank. I read that Bramble is set to serve a match suspension, so we should get rid of him (suggestions for a cheapie defender, anyone?).
Is the plan still to go with Leeds players this week? We already have Ferdinand, Bowyer, and R. Keane (will he even start?). I suppose Robinson in goal, Harte and Radebe in defense, Dacourt and Bakke in midfield, and Viduka for striker are possibilities. You da man, El Tel, any ideas?
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Bubba, the Leeds situation is fascinating. They've another midweek match on 7th Feb.Radebe will miss the Cup and maybe the midweek games because SA want him.Keane has trained and I would think will start at least one of the games-Smith is not scoring. The trial of Bowyer and Woodgate starts on the 29th Jan and I doubt that ordeal will see them in any fit state to play for what could be a prolonged case given the gravity of the charges. On to the team:Bramble to Matteo(not Harte who remains in D O'L's doghouse). I personally will get Robinson,Bakke,Dacourt,Viduka and Keane. Any support for this?Cheers El Tel

Bowyer is a good pickup for this week. Keane is a risk - he won't start both games which means you only get 1 game from him anyway. I would go for Phillips as the other striker instead.
Robinson and Bakke have been very lousy before last game (30-40 swpish). A waste of trade probably to get them. Ferninand & Radebe are best Leeds' defenders (Ferdinand has been ill but is set to go on Sat so no worries.).
My bet: Radebe, Bowyer, Ferninand and perhaps Keane/Viduka. But I wouldn't get them all.

I like Bramble to Matteo, Barthez to Robinson, Murphy to Dacourt, and Sheringham to Viduka. Even though Robinson hasn't been awesome I think Newcastle (w/o Shearer) and Aston Villa (even with Angel) might improve his chances. I do like Phillips also, given Sunderland's form and their opponent.

I vote Barthez->Robinson, Bramble to Radebe (much better! ;) and Murphy to Dacourt. Perhaps Viduka, I prefer Henry - Phillips (both had huge games against their next opponents last time).

What a bizarre weekend.Ferguson decides in Spain that the players who have played most will be rested.Becks and Silvestre this week,Keane and Neville next, though it's not clear if that's the Cup or Everton.Becks and Posh are in the south of FRance at a music festival.Leeds strategy backfires when Rio pulls a ligament 'watching TV'.
