Hi all. I hope you all had D. Yorke (unlike me) :)
Yes, VIDevilRays, "Arsenal's weakened defense" might well be the understatement of the year. The Man U train just keeps on rolling, it's scary.

Here's where Inter Guru stands:

Barthez

Stam
Wes Brown
S. Pearce
Ferdinand

Roy Keane
Pires
Izzet
Beckham

Robbie Keane
Viduka

SWP: 22400
Div Rank: 9
World Rank: 2361 out of 133355
Transfers Remaining: 28
SWŁ Remaining: 10,000
Lineup Value: 78,640,000 SWŁ

Roy Keane and Izzet are both doubtful due to injury. The problem is, a lot of possible replacements are also injured: Dyer, Speed, Gerrard, Joe Cole, Carrick, and Kinsella. Another complication is the Champions League and cup matches. What should we do with our Man U, Leeds, Arsenal players?

Another thing to consider is that there are no Premier League matches in two weeks, except for West Ham/Chelsea (3/07) and Aston Villa/Ipswich (3/10). Maybe we should consider players from these teams.

Any thoughts from anyone else? C'mon El Tel, Sigh, VIDevilRays, Dai. Sorry for those of you I forgot to nag ;)

BTW I don't really know that it's week 25--I've been guessing lately.

Hasselbaink and Desailly get double games this week so they should be easy buys. Also West Ham (but it faces Arsenal & Chelsea).. perhaps Kanoute if he plays.

Wait for the afternoon when more reports come out.

Both SW fantasy and tip'em sites seem to be long-term impenetrable so this may well be hypothetical and ill-informed.I'm established as the double-up man,so it's Chelsea and West Ham for me:Pearce,Lampard,Di Canio;Cudicini,Desailly,Terry,Ferrer,Poyet,Dalla Bona,Wise,Hasselbaink could well comprise my team with loads of trades. The good team will have to be managed more selectively. And then another 11 trades for Villa v Ipswich.Exciting times. The Leeds kick off is half an hour before the deadline but if I were you Bubba,I wouldn't set my alarm for a set of 404 errors.Today's quiz:What have SW and the Arsenal defense got in common?
Cheers

Sorry,Di Canio suspended 3/3.Kanoute can play again because a booking won't affect his Cup eligibility.

Sure wish I had seen this before making some trades and getting Henry and Hyppia instead of Hasselbaink and DeSailly. Now more trades to make.

Although, everytime I trade for double games I seem to get burned. Don't know Bubba. Jimmy Floyd and DeSailly sound good to me.

Lads,

Just to give u a heads up guys, Kanoute is again listed as doubtful with a foot injury. I have to admit that my plans have gone out the window because I was planning on doubling up with Carrick, Cole and Kanoute but they all now seem doubtful because of injury. Hasselbaink and Desailly are no-brainers and I suspect you will see these guys on about 95% of the Top 50 teams.

Some other players you may want to look at are Dalla Bonna, Leboeuf, Poyet, Dailly, Winterburn and maybe go for the Chelsea keeper, Cudicini.

This is going to be a good couple of weeks with your whole team having to change for the game next week between Villa and Ipswich and then you have to change most of your team back, I sure hope you guys saved your trades, you will need them all over the next month or so. Good luck to you all !!

Cheers,

Dai

PS VI, ta for the videos, they were great !!!

PPS Have you noticed that there has been no price updates yet and the site seems to have loads of errors on it !!

Thanks for the input guys. Last night I dumped Wes Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Roy Keane, Robert Pires, and Mark Viduka for Leboeuf, Desailly, Lampard, Poyet, and Hasselbaink. So our team at the freeze is:

Barthez

Desailly
Leboeuf
S. Pearce
Stam

Poyet
Lampard
Beckham
Izzet

Robbie Keane
Hasselbaink

Transfers Remaining: 23
SWŁ Remaining: 1,610,000
Lineup Value: 77,510,000 SWŁ

Good luck with your own teams!

Great game from Leeds against ManU. Barthez was solid as a rock, but 1-1 is fair. Barthez should bring over 100 points.

Sigh,Barthez played like a loonie. He hacked Harte off the ball and should have been sent off,but then saved Harte's pen.

El Tel, I know, I saw the game. Barthez was great anyway, lucky he didn't get the red card. ManU totally sucked tonight. Wish I had Wiltord..
